Popular Christian writer Brandilyn Collins teaches her readers how to write surprising twists as they plot their stories. Her writing is clear and succinct. She includes the first chapter of one of her books to have the reader practice finding assumptions to twist. Quick and sensible.

This is a very, very short book. It does provide a worthwhile insight into writing a twist into a story, but the whole thing is probably less than a blog post. I don't feel cheated at the cost, but if the price were any higher I would have.

Concise and immensely helpful!

I liked the direct definitions and the examples of assumptions. This approach is fun fodder for anyone wanting to create a great twist. The process seems to also help chisel out great images of characters as you go along. Can't wait to start my list!

this inexpensive pamphelet length piece presented a great method for creating twists. It's one of those things I think some authors spontaneously do without realizing it. If you need to do it on the fly, it helps to understand the process. Useful

Short and to the Point

No twist here! Collins does a great job of outlining how to write twists in an easy to understand way. Can read in less than an hour.

Powerful tool for writers

Ms. Collins has presented aspiring authors a gem to add to their writing toolkits. I believe good twist in a novel makes the difference between the book and author I remember, and a book that I walk away from with a vague sense that the story could have been better crafted. Well worth the purchase price, this article could make it tough to read my next few book choices, I'll be busy trying to find the premise for the twist!

A bit eye opening

Personally as a newbie, to the writing profession, I need a bit more clarity and will need to revisit the lesson more than once.

Ok

It's ok but just an advert for other work. Picked up one hint that was all. Could have done the same by Google.
