When Atlanta-based psychic medium-turned amateur sleuth Angela Panther teams up with her best friend Mel and celestial super sleuth—and Angela's dead mother—Fran to help Detective Aaron Banner find a lost boy, the trio heads into ghostly territory they’ve never experienced. The mob and magic aren't part of the psychic medium handbook, and the trio's not sure they'll make it out of it alive. Well, two of them anyway.

This cozy mystery novella was originally published in InD’tale Magazine. This version includes additional material.

I absolutely LOVE the Angela Panther series and can't get enough of the sassy, snarky banter between best friends Angela and Mel. A cosy murder mystery with chuckles galore and a hint of the Scooby Doo's, you can always trust the pair to end up neck deep in trouble before finally figuring things out. Helping them with hints and clues is Angela's very Italian mother who is now a ghost. Exasperated by their escapades is local Detective Aaron who is dating Mel at the same time as being Angela's boss. It makes for some hilarious situations, especially given that Angela is the only one who can see the dearly departed.
Highly recommended for lovers of cosies featuring ghosts and packed with giggle inducing adventures!

Another excellent edition of the Angela Panther series will have you giggling in public and ignoring the world as you devour page after page! This series seriously just keeps getting better and better! In this installment Angela and Mel not only take on the task of helping ghosts stuck, but end up taking on the mob as well! Excellent cast of characters that are so real that you feel like you are in their living room entwined with a witty dialogue that flows so well throughout the plot that you will be compelled to keep reading into the wee hours of the night or morning as the case may be!

'Unbinding Love' was another great example of Carolyn Ridder Aspenson's amazing talent of creating an awesome book. This novella was as good as I expected it to be. I laughed so hard and teared up and then laughed again. I absolutely love the dialogue. Angela and Mel are hilarious together. They can get into some pretty insane scenarios, and yet, they come out of it only to do it again. Fran, I mean Petronilla, is just as great as ever. I can always count on her Italian attitude to make me laugh. I can't wait to read more of 'The Angela Panther Mystery Series'. A must add to your tbr list. Recommended read.

This is the Novella I read first in the Angela Panther series. I enjoyed it so much I have now started the series and have finished book one.

This is a hilarious, yet intriguing book. The friendship between Angela and Mel reads like women’s lit. The mystery is an engaging cozy. The book is fun, creative and addictive.

I highly recommend this series.

Unbinding Love: A Midlife Psychic medium Series Novella is book #4 in the Midlife Psychic Medium series by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson.

This was an intense story. Angela and Mel had ghosts and the mob to deal with. There was plenty of humor with Angela, Mel, and Fran but also a lot of drama with the ghost of Bill putting them in danger. These stories are very entertaining.

Amusing and Lots of Action

Another good story in the Angela Panther series, as usual full of humour and action. The only criticism I have is that there were loads of typos and as this was a fairly short story it kind of irritated me.

. She is not tell a story someone depressed or angry but of someone who is full of adventure. It is very nice to find a series of books that are not about teenagers. There is humor and thoughtful moments. I really enjoyed the word play

Unbinding Love, good paranormal mystery

Aspenson's Unbinding Love is an entertaining mystery. It kept my interest throughout. The characters are wonderful, but the humor in this one is not quite as goid as the first three books. I'm on to the next book in the series.

Big fan of Carolyn Ridder Asperson

I've read all her Midlife Psychic and Rachel Ryder (detective) series. Each one is so good and well written. I'm always ready for the next book in the series or novella.

Angie and Mel have done again.

Angie and Mel have friends a long time. They are business partners, Mel is dating a cop and Angie can see and talk to ghosts . Nothing unusual about them at all except they made me laugh and laugh. I just love them ladies. I need to laugh more

Angela is a psychic medium that helps the police solve cases. When a boy goes missing, Angela has to deal with his alcoholic mother and the ghost of his criminal father to figure out where he is. But will everyone be honest about what’s going on?

This was a super short read but I really enjoyed it. Angela’s mother is hilarious! Can’t wait to read more!

This book was short and contained gangsters and murders. Good but not as good as the first two books.

Unbinding Love by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson
An Angela Panther novella

So while I wait, IMPATIENTLY, for Carolyn Ridder Aspenson’s newest in the Angela Panther Mystery series, Unexpected Outcomes, I am searching her website and find she has a novella set for release July 25th! I also find that I can ask to be part of her street team, meaning that I can get her books ahead of publication for the price of a review. Yassssssssss.

So here I review Aspenson’s novella, Unbinding Love, set for release July 25, 2016. I read it fast and furious, which is how I always read stories I love. I tell myself slow down and enjoy it, but I find myself tearing through. My only complaint with this novella is that it was over much too soon-hence novella. I know. On the plus side, I got a much needed boost of Angela and might be able to wait for the next book.

(SPOILER ALERT for previous novels) In Unbinding Love, Angela Panther has recovered her ghost skills and is using them to help police officer, Detective Aaron Banner, solve cases that the living are having trouble solving. This, of course, is all off the grid. Angela has come to terms with the fact that she sees and speaks to ghosts, and is working fairly in sync with her mother Fran providing celestial being assistance. Angela’s best friend is in the mix as well and I laughed out loud more than once.

A boy has gone missing and Angela is working with the living and the dead to try to find him before it is too late. His parents are various degrees of unhelpful and Angela, and readers, are unsure of the deceased father’s motives. I knew something was going to go horribly wrong as Angela and Mel make a series of bad choices in their rush to solve the mystery.

Seen only briefly in this story is Angela’s husband, Jake, whom I missed. (See above. Novella.) Best friend Mel is getting over her cheating ex-husband with Detective Banner and I hope to see more of them and their relationship in Unexpected Outcomes. (Did I mention I am waiting impatiently for the next book!?)

If you haven’t read Aspenson’s novels yet, summer is the perfect time. I love that her website (http://carolynridderaspenson.com/#sec...) notes her books are “Heartfelt and Humorous Fiction for Women”. This is true. Her stories feel a little like when you sit with an old friend and start remembering “when” or simply relating what you did this morning.

The Angela Panther mysteries are a pleasant combination of Psych and Stephanie Plum with a dash of Scooby Doo. There is a definite storyline that keeps me thinking; a set of realistic characters that are both brilliant and bumbling; and enough intrigue/danger to make me feel that slight nervousness that makes mysteries exciting but not so over the top that I can’t read it and still sleep at night.

As stated above, I received an early release of this novella in exchange for my honest review. Best. Deal. Ever.
