Another great book in this series! Learn the different parts of the body with Luchadores! Art really goes well with the simple text. Always happy to find more books in this series - a wonderful way to help small children build there Spanish/English vocabulary while having fun - great for old guys (like me) trying to learn Spanish!
These Lil' Libros are a delightful collection of bilingual board books for teaching first words in English & Spanish. Grounded in cultural inspiration, and with an engaging illustration style, each book is sure to be a hit while it teaches words around a theme in English & Spanish. There is even a bit of a storyline to the order of the words to infer.
Adorable. The art is super cute, and my lucha libre loving 5-year had fun repeating the Spanish words. One thing that could have been helpful was a pronunciation guide. I did okay with my rudimentary Spanish, but for those who don’t have my extensive 20-years ago high school Spanish expertise, it could be useful.
This would work well as a beginner level reader. I don't think toddlers need to be told by a book what their arm is? But in a couple of years, seeing the words brazo & arm on a picture of same will help them with early literacy skills.
These might be fun to help Abuela learn more English, and even native English speakers to learn Spanish, too. They're so cute!
Apparently this series has been around awhile but it's only recently that I've been seeing them recently. A fun bilingual (English/Spanish) board book series that introduces concepts to babies and toddlers usually with some sort of Spanish influence or reference.
Love the illustrations and cultural tie-in. Will enjoy adding it to my classroom library. Just would have preferred each body part to have el/la in front of it.
I was very open to the Lucha Libre concept, but I don't think the illustrations were good, and the featured body part was not always spotlighted very well.
This book is so fun to read, and my two year old thinks it is hilarious and loves pointing to his own body parts as we read them. Love the illustrations, and hope to add more from the series to our collection!
This is another great choice for parents who wish to help teach their child both Spanish and English, while also coupling in other skills like mastering anatomy. The Lil Libros books are fantastic!
