She trains. She fights. She wins.
Meeting Beast was an unpleasant experience, and her dislike for his egocentric and arrogant behaviour rubs her the wrong way, but her curiosity is piqued and she can’t remove him from her mind. Will their one night of passion lead to anything? Or will being in the MMA lifestyle tear them apart before they get started?
Who will win the ultimate battle of hatred and anger? Will they fight for their passion or will it come crumbling down around them with severe consequences?

This guy has the nerve to call women whores when he’s the biggest whore there is and he’s only 18!! Oh but that’s not the only derogatory name he calls them. It’s sick that a woman author wrote this garbage. Thank god I didn’t pay for this shit cuz it was free on amazon.
Women flock me and I can have any one of those fake bitches if I want to…and I do; daily. I’m an aggressive fucker with particular tastes when it comes to sex and these bimbos let me do whatever the fuck I want. They’re trying for air time, but they get jack shit. The paparazzi won’t print them because they’re just inadequate nobodies. Unworthy. Money grabbing whores.

Well HOLY CRAP. That was f*cking amazing and extremely hot!
Beast is a HOT and intimidating MMA Fighter, he's all muscle and extremely good looking. He's the kinda guy nobody wants to mess with. He grew up wanting to be a doctor but his path was set for him as he was forced into fighting, to be the best.
Carlotta is strong and independent. Life wasn't easy for her at the beginning so she turns to the gym. When her coach suggests training to become a fighter and the benefits of it, she jumps at it. As well as having her job as a tattoo artist with her best friend Gemma.
Things slowly start to change for both Beast and Carlotta when they meet each other. He's an a***hole and she's a bitch. What happens when unexpected things are throw at each of them? You'll have to read Beast to find out, no spoilers here ;)
Another amazing book by the wonderful Lucii, I'm a huge fan of her MC books and this is definitely a huge difference and a pleasant surprise. As soon as I heard Lucii was starting a new book away from MC I was intrigued and couldn't wait to get it and the wait was definitely worth it. I'm so happy to have an ARC of this beauty.

This is the first book I have read by Lucii Grubb, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed this book and was hooked from the first page to the last.
This book is about Beast, a HOT MMA fighter, who takes no prisoners. He knows what he wants and he goes and gets it - he wins his fights and he wins the women. Enter Carlotta - she is another MMA fighter, who simply fights as a sideline because it earns her a bit more money alongside the tattoo shop she owns. When we first meet Beast, you almost don't want to like him, but as we read through the pages, although he is harsh and foul mouthed, we also see a different side to him as well.
Beast and Carlotta have instant attraction and chemistry, almost from the moment she first speaks to him. He’s used to women chasing after him! Why wouldn’t they? They fall at his feet… He’s the World Champion! He usually has his women and leaves them; he simply uses them for his pleasure and discards them soon after…. But with Carlotta there is something different. Beast likes the fact that Carlotta speaks her mind, is true and honest to him and herself. And as much as he hates the way she speaks to him, there’s also something about it which he actually LIKES and Carlotta definitely intrigues Beast!
This book was a quick read. I probably would have liked to understand a bit more about the way the club was being run now and what Beast’s plans were to change it for the better. There were certain points to the story I felt were a little rushed and would have liked a bit more depth. Overall a really great story though, which kept my interest throughout with a great ending!
I really enjoyed the secondary characters featured in this book too. Some of the friendships were great, with some brilliant banter and dialogues between the characters. I hope to see more of them in the future…

Freaking amazing!

I read Beast in one sitting and absolutely freaking loved it! There was not ONE thing that I didn't like about this.
Beast is about an MMA Fighter and I have to say Beast is one sexy arse man! (*fans self shamelessly*) He is used to getting his own way in every aspect of his life. That is until he meets female fighter, Carlotta, and he realises he has finally met his match. Carlotta is one strong, fiery women (she rocks) and she keeps Beast on his toes. After a night of extremely hot passion, they future is put to the test and things just might end before they have even started.
I have read several of Lucii's books and they just get better and better. This book deserves so much more than then 5 stars I can give it!

Amazing story about two MMA fighters from different circles with sordid pasts meet and they leave a huge impression in each other. He's hard and she doesn't want any part of it. But then the sparks fly you can't stop them. Good story. Really enjoyed the flow of the story and the characters. I can maybe see more books coming in the future.

I have just fished a ARC of Beast, this is a 5* MMA novel, I have only ever read a few MMA novels and this was one of my favourites.
This novel is about a hulk of a hunk of a guy called Beast, who is a MMA fighter, he is a hard ass character that you'll love from the very start, like most guys he's arrogant, big ego, knows he can have any woman he wants and has them all flocking around him, he knows he's a ladies man, who could ever turn away a tall, muscled tattoo bad boy? He may seem all hard and hot headed but he most certainly has a softer side which he shows not just his mum but also the woman he likes. He may seem a ass at the start but she's under his skin without knowing tearing away his hard exterior.
Carlotta meets the hot aired hulk and isn't scared to say hello, she also is a MMA fighter in the same place as Beast, she isn't like most women she is a ' tell it how I see it ' kinda woman. She is kind hearted, down to earth and loves her best friend who also does MMA, she meets Beast and isn't scared to piss him off. Beast has gotten under her skin just as she has got under his.
You get to feel a part of the characters the more you read. I started this novel today and have fished it and left wanting more.
Two people who are completely opposite who enjoy doing the same thing, meets each other when it isn't ideal for either one of them, it is a dangerous world that doesn't make it easy for Beast but that doesn't stop him, sometimes going against a dangerous world will lead to someone getting hurt in the process.
If you like MMA novels and a smoking hot male lead then Beast is the novel for you! I can assure you wouldn't want to put it down after you've started to read it.
I absolutely loved this book from start to finish, this book was perfect for me to read with a hunk who has tattoos and big muscles and who is also a MMA fighter. I'm such a sucker for this type of guy. I liked the over all hard exteria of Beast to then see a softer side is swoon worthy. From start to finish the characters pulled me in from the start, iv been struggling to get into books recently but after seeing the cover of this book, and starting it I knew straight the way this was one of my favourite 2016 reads.

If you are looking for a seriously hot man, then Beast is your guy!
L Grubb doesn’t hold back on the sizzle in this, a kick a** book.
MMA superstar Beast has it all going on, he is king of a ring that he never wanted to be in, in the first place. Life inside the ropes was never on his horizon, but now he is there he is determined to make it his own.
Carlotta is far from the norm, she is a tough cookie, a talented tattoo artist in her own right with a desire to master the place that Beast calls home…the ring,
Training to become a fighter is a task that will bring her into direct contact with a man that sets every single nerve on fire. Beast might be a pain in the butt, but he is able to infiltrate her very senses and the battle of wills is simply delicious. Things might be a little slow to ignite between the two of them but once they find their stride it really is a case of standing well back because they went from smoulder to inferno in the blink of an eye and I loved every second of it!
I knew very early on that I was going to absolutely love this book, he ticked all my boxes, he was a bad guy or so it would see, his persona wasn’t really who he was and I loved getting see beneath the surface.
The author also presented one other little gem… or should I say a Gemma. She almost stole the show, I laughed so hard at some of her outbursts, she was such a feisty, funny, sassy mare, glorious!!!!

Omg I love Lucii's MC series and when I heard she was writing MMA I was so excited - I love MMA!!

Beast is the tough sexy MMA star who doesn't muck around, he takes what he wants in the ring and in the bedroom (or wherever he likes) and no one questions him. Carlotta is the female MMA star who is currently working her way up the ranks. She is the first woman to go against Beast and not take what he is offering. They both want each other and when they get it, oh wow!
I was so excited to read this book and read it in one sitting. Lucii certainly knows how to write hot men in her books and the sex is off the charts! I love Beast's attitude change when he relishes his feeling for Carlotta. And I think it's great that she wasn't like all the other complient women who fall at this feet and do what he says.
This book was most definitely a 5 star read and I would rate it more if I could! I cannot wait for Roofie's story next in this series and from the looks of this book, I'm hoping it goes the way I think!

I just love L. Grubb’s books. In her MC series it is raw, gritty, sexy and dangerous. The first book in this MMA series had some of those same qualities. This book is told from both Beast and Carlotta POV.
Beast is forced in this world at a young age by his father. He is a champion underground mob ran MMA fighter. He was cocky, arrogant and tough. He was always in control when it came to woman until he saw her.
Carlotta is a MMA fighter also just so she can pay for her real passion of her tattoo shop. There are many sides to Car. She is very loyal, passionate, sexy and a tough chick. Till she ran into Beast. She doesn’t like him cause of his arrogant attitude.
Beast has never met a woman like Car. Can they get past their stubbornness to make something more?
This is a short read. While I liked the beginning of the book I felt towards the end it was a bit rushed. Their age seemed a little off to me being they were only 18 & 19 years old but could have been their upbringing to make them seem older I don’t know. But I look forward to reading what is coming up.

I love a good MMA book and this was definitely one of those. I loved the fast pace of it, never really lingering on unnecessary points is always a bonus.
Beast may well be a hard ass, but he does have a caring streak, this is evident most when it comes to not only Carlotta, but his mother too. His soft side is well and truly hidden to the rest of the world. It even takes Car a while to break through this mean shell he hides behind.
Neither Beast nor Car have had a particularly easy life thus far. Being born into a mob family, Beast’s life is laid out before him and there is very little he can do to deviate from the path he is on, he does know that he can make the path smoother, but this involves removing his uncle from power. Not an easy obstacle to overcome.
Meeting Carlotta turns everything on its head for Beast, he actually feels something. This has never happened before, mainly as he refused to let it happen. Carlotta is different, he can’t stop her working her way in, from their first meeting he knows she is different to all the nameless one nighters he’s had in the past.
I am really looking forward to reading Roofie, which is the second in this series, along with her earlier books.

Meeting Carlotta turns everything on its head for Beast, he actually feels something. This has never happened before, mainly as he refused to let it happen. Carlotta is different, he can’t stop her working her way in, from their first meeting he knows she is different to all the nameless one nighters he’s had in the past.
I am really looking forward to reading Roofie, which is the second in this series, along with her earlier books.

Received a copy of this book for an honest review.
I have come to expect a little something different and intriguing from L. Grubb but I really think she may have outdone herself with this one.
Beast is exactly that a beast. He is harsh, abrasive, and makes no excuses for anything. He is a manwhore once and done. He kicks them out before they have a chance to recover. Yet something about his character grabs you and you fall for him anyway.
Carlotta is a strong, tough, and has a smart mouth. I love her character for that alone. She is a female version of Beast except she does not sleep around.
Beast doesn't want to drag her into his world but is having a hard time staying away. She intrigues him and has the nerve to stand up to him which no one does. When they both can't fight it anymore they soon realize the severe consequences of their attraction.
An action packed intense ride that leaves your legs shaking.

I received this for my honest review. Beast hasn't had the best upbringing, trained from a young age to fight and be the best. While his father was his manager and trainer it wasn't in a good way, Beast never wanted this life but he has no choice.I liked Beast's character, he was hard working and driven but was also quite arrogant, with a huge ego especially for someone who so young, with the writing it gave you such a picture of the way he was it felt like you were right there with them. I loved that he had a soft side to him in the way he cares for his mother and the new girl that he needs to stay away from. He definitely grabbed my attention and had me wishing......Carlotta is a female MMA fighter and tattoo shop owner, when she meets Beast she can't help but say it as it is even though it annoys him. I love her character sassy and smart and can give as good as she gets when it comes to banter and back talk. I really enjoyed this and can't wait to read more.

Beast is an arrogant,egotistical MMA champion fighter, a huge mass of muscle and tattoo's what's not to love? I do love a strong alpha male and even though I thought he was a complete asshat in the beginning I still thought he was hot, and i fell in love with him more as the story progressed and we see his softer side. Carlotta is not your typical heroine and i liked that about her, she has been through a lot in her past but is strong and not afraid to stand up for herself.She fights MMA as well as running her own tattoo business with her friend Gemma, who will hopefully get a book of her own.I liked the way this story flowed and the writing style the chemistry between beast and Carlotta is hot. An excellent start to the series I read this in a day could not put it down wish i had the next one now.

Beast is at the top of his career as the best MMA fighter. He's worked hard to get where he is and nothing and nobody will stand in his way of taking over the business when he's at the top and making it legit.
Carlotta has just started fighting in the ring and wants no distractions. But Beast is a force to be seen even when he's an arrogant bastard. And she can't seem to keep her mind off of him even bough she knows he's no good for her.
The story is quick and entertaining. I love Beasts arrogance and how Carlotta takes no crap from him. They both know they can't be together but fighting the list coursing through them for each other is blazing. The backgrounds of how they came into the fight scene makes it more believable. I loved this story and can't wait to read more from this author.

I was initially introduced to Lucii's writing through her MC novels, but was given this one for an honest review. Obviously, this is different from what I am used to but was extremely surprised with how well she nailed it.
Beast is a MMA fighter, a man who cares for nothing and no one, until he meets a fellow MMA fighter by the name of Carlotta. There was certainly no love at first sight with these two and there is a fierceness to both of them that we learn is from their harsh upbringings.
The love story between these two is unconventional, but extremely passionate and I love how real the story comes across. There is a reality to these characters that keeps you hanging on until the end, just to find out how it all ends.
I am not one for spoilers, but would highly recommend this book to anyone, it was well worth the read and I look forward to seeing what Lucii publishes next.

This is very different to her mc series but just as fabulous.
This book focuses on carlotta and beast. Both in the mma scene.
Chance meetings where can they lead?
For the sassy carlotta her first meeting with best left a sour taste in her mouth. Where does he get off, arrogant, full of himself but her feelings don't remain this way for long. ;)
And beast he didn't wish to be the way he is but it was forced upon him. Mma was the last "job" he wanted; he wanted to be the fixer not the problem but when you are born into a high powered family you do what's expected of you... So that's what beast did. Until "family" take it a step to far.
Fabulous first book in what's sure to be another amazing lucii series<3

I absolutely love books about MMA, and this one is no different. Loved it! This is the first time that I have read any of this authors work, and it will definitely not be the last.
Beast and Carlotta have a hot and intense chemistry. If you enjoy books where the alpha male is hot, muscular and as tough as nails and the heroine is just as tough and headstrong, then this is the book for you.
Awesome writing and I was completely enthralled from the very beginning. I will definitely be recommending this authors work, and I cannot wait to read the next story in the series.

Intense MMA Read!
This is a first read by L. Grubb and I will definitely be reading more by her. I really enjoyed reading this book. It was different than other MMA books that I have read. L. Grubb puts a new twist into this type of book and I loved it. I hope she writes more for this for the other characters, I foresee a great deal of good stories coming out of this one. I really liked Carlotta, she was a strong female lead that did not take sh*t from Beast. I liked all the characters really except for Carlos, but you have to have that one character that you hate. If you like a well written, fast paced read, this one is for you.

I enjoyed this short story by this author!
If you are a lover of MMA stories, trust me this one is right for you-- especially with a hot man, stubborn/sassy woman, filled with fabulous secondary characters and more that hook you to the story until the very end!

A story about a broody MMA fighter Beast stuck in the world of the maffia. He doesn't care about the girls he fucks until he lay his eyes on Carlotta. She is also a fighter and a tattoo artist. He feels different about her and tries to stay away, but can't help himself. He don't want her to be involved, but his feelings taking over and he can't resist her.
This story was short but hot and sexy with the sexual tension between Beast and Carlotta. I've enjoyed reading this.

I really enjoyed this story. It was a quick read but I still felt like I got to know the characters enough so I could connect. I felt like I shouldn't like Beast he could come off lie a bit of a douche at times but dammit I couldn't help but find him sexy. I loved the connection between him and Carlotta and my only problem is I wanted to read more and the book ended. I can't wait for book two where I'm hoping to hear more from these two.

I thought this book was an outstanding start to what I am sure is going to be an amazing series. This MMA book is one of the better ones in this genre, given that the author clearly did research and it showed. L. Grubb certainly writes hot alpha males and Beast is an alpha and then some. But Carlotta is an alpha female, a MMA fighter in her own right. The chemistry between them is palpable immediately. This book certainly leaves you wanting more in the best possible way.

Wow!!!! I freaking looooove this book!!! Beast is just........so hot!!! I love how the main female character didn't take any shit, she was confident and hard as nails. Both mma fighters brings a different element to this book, one that is refreshing to read. I loved the secondary characters and I honestly can't wait for roofie and jase!! Hurry up and write them faster woman!!

I loved this book, L Grubb always writes HOT men!!! They are addictive and sexy, even if they are dark and brooding.
Beast and Carlotta were a great match, i loved the chemistry between them and i loved that Carlotta was not the normal kind of girl. That she was also a fighter.
I loved the start of this new series and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

A little spoiler alert!! Wow!! I really enjoy MMA books and this one c was great. I am giving it 4 stars bc I would have liked for it to be longer. I wish it would have told not about how beast takes over and more about how there relationship grows. the ending just felt a little rushed. but it is a great read!

This is my first book by L. Grubb and she did not disappoint. This book is hot MMA dark romance about to fighters. Beast and Carlotta are from different world and hate each other at first but soon the sparks start to fly and there is no stopping them. From the beginning I could put this book down. A great read.
