گلخانه، در شکل تفننی و تجملی اش، ظاهرا از ابداع های اشراف و پولداران رومی بوده که به قول این کتاب، می خواستند در زمستان لذت خیار خوردن را ببرند یا برای چشیدن طعم آناناس، راهی سفر نشوند. کتاب جمع و جوریست برای آشنایی با ساختمان گلخانه های کوچک غربی.

I checked this out from the library because I wanted to see why kind of greenhouses I could build myself without having to hire a company to do it for me. Turns out there's quite a number of options AND there's a lot more to greenhouse design than I initially thought there was. However, the information is laid out in a concise way so it was easy for me to understand. Also there was plenty of pictures for inspiration, and many different potential projects you could do, even without building a full sized greenhouse.

Definitely recommend.

Great resource for anyone interested in building a greenhouse, hoop house, or cold frame! This book has a large portfolio of example greenhouses, as well as step by step instructions and detailed material lists for a good number of projects.

This one is a good resource for lots of different greenhouse use cases with an intention to DIY. It will definitely assist a novice with the vocabulary to talk about the parts of the build. I also appreciated p.195 addition of vegetables that grow well together/or don't in raised beds.
