From leaves to liquids, caves to crystal formations, nature has always been a major source of inspiration for architects. This book examines how nature can act as a precedent for design solutions through twelve case studies. Packed with computer drawings, sketches, models, and photographs, this will be an ideal resource of ideas for students in their studio work, as well as for practicing architects.
در این کتاب، توضیح کانسپتهای معماری برگرفته از طبیعت و شرح ۱۳ پروژه با الهام از طبیعت داده شده است که بسیار برای درک کانسپتها و ایدهپردازی، مناسب است.
This book is a portfolio of undergraduate architecture students projects inspired by natural structures. The introduction paints a good landscape of biomorphic design and the tools that can help using this principle in design. Each project has a small description. This will be of interest to design and architecture educators, but doesn't deep dive in the topic.
Very good book detailing examples of parametric design and biomorphism (details bionics and biomimicry also). Very useful as I am currently studying biomimicry and biomaterials. Worth a read as can get through in an hour.
