Can’t Forget is the second book in the Solum series by Colleen S. Myers. It is a new adult, science fiction story with action, adventure, aliens, magic, revenge, romance, and drama. This follows on from book #1, so I really recommend reading the first book before starting on this one, in order to appreciate the story better.
As we discovered in the first book, Elizabeth (Beta) Camden went from being a typical college student one minute, to waking up on an alien world, the next. She is thrust into a fight for survival, with much at stake. But not without finding herself in the middle of a love triangle.
This book sees Beta in love with Marin (#teamMarin), but the E’mani aren’t going to give up easily and so Beta finds, once again, that danger isn’t far away. But this time she’s determined to take the fight to them. But will this rash decision place the one she loves in the crosshairs? Can she forget the past, in order to embrace the future?
A great addition to the series, and just as good as the first book. Beta did develop and grow through the story, but she did frustrate me by trying to handle things by herself, arrrggggh!
As with the first book, the world building is excellent, with wonderful descriptions and details. The characters were well crafted, interesting and original. This was a little unpredictable, with surprising developments that kept things interesting.
Looking forward to more from Ms. Myers!

MS. Myers, I have to say when I started reading this book I though oh so this is the romance/angst part of the story....and then you ripped my heart right out and off the plot was running!!

In this book we see Beta in her new relationship with Marin and the Fost. Obviously things are strained between her and a few characters due to the death of Lara from the other book, but not for the wrong reasons (trying not to contain spoiler). Marin is pushing for their relationship to become deeper and move to "Mating".

Eventually Beta realizes she need to continue her journey to Industry, leaving Marin behind. His anger and reaction just may tear their new relationship apart, while Finn may be waiting for a chance to redeem himself.

I am not a huge fan of the triangle love that usually plays out in books, however The way Ms. Meyers deals with it here is unique and while Finn is always waiting, He never becomes, bitter or hates Beta for her choice. His choices make him an interesting and relatable character even though I am Team Marin.

Marin...He is definitely stubborn and alpha. The trials he and Beta go through will change them , and their relationship.

The only thing I wished more for and felt a little confused was the different races Beta discovered and where they exactly came from. I think a little more detail would have helped me understand how Xade had come into contact with them and how they fit with Beta. I got a little confused when they met and then the battle seemed rushed at the end. The rest of the book felt so much richer, that it paled the end because of how fast it was summed up.

I cant wait for the next installment, Please tell me it is coming soon!!

Can't Forget (Solum #2) by Colleen S. Myers is a teen/young adult, but I think adults would like it too, sci-fi book. It is the second book in the series but I didn't read the first book and I was not lost in the story, the author was good in filling in parts needed as the story went along. The story was of a girl in love with an alien that had rescued her from other aliens that had held her captive and had tortured and researched/did lab experiments on her (in book one). She is special somehow and she wants to find the labs and find out why and to destroy those aliens but the new tribe of aliens she is living with keeps putting it off. She takes it on herself with a few others to go themselves. It is an exciting read with romance, mystery, action, sci-fi, some fantasy, and lots of fun too. I enjoyed it. Good plot and great characters. Thanks NetGalley for suggesting this book.

I read this book as a stand alone. It did just fine like that. Aliens, check. Strong main character, who I like, yes indeed. It has emotion, humor. I think I should read the first book in this series now.

My copy came from Net Galley. My review is my own, and left of my own volition.

I had been waiting for this book "Can't Forget " since I finished the last page of the first book in the series, "Must Remember ".
Colleen Myers did not disappoint, it was outstanding!
In the first book, Beta, aka "Elizabeth" is kidnapped by the E'mani and taken in by the Fost when she mysteriously escapes the E'mani. In "Can't Forget", Beta is living with Marin the leader of Fost community that found Beta. Marin is in love with Beta and wants her to mate with him, but even though Beta loves Marin, she's not sure she can commit to Marin until she has her revenge against the E'mani.
Unexpected tragedy sets things in motion that could have long lasting effects on everyone involved!
I highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys suspense and an unusual storyline.

Can’t forget is the second read in the Solum Series from author Colleen S. Myers. Once again this book has held me totally captivated from the start, right until the very end! For the full benefit of this incredible series I recommend that it’s read in order, as you wouldn’t want to miss a thing with this series. I didn’t think Colleen S. Myers would get any better with this series, but my oh my - has she proved me wrong!

This author has once again transported us back into this created an incredibly vivid, mentally visual read. I couldn’t help but picture the whole planet in my mind while reading it, the look and descriptions of each individual character that Beta comes into contact with. All of it makes for an incredible sci-fi, alien romance novel filled with action, adventure, mystery, suspense, romance and most important an incredible plot.

This time we see Elizabeth ‘Beta’, trying to work out what could ultimately help the Fost bring down their enemies the E’Mani. Along the way she continues to grow as a person and her journey continues at a fast pace. I absolutely love her and Marin together, they bring an incredible dynamic to this read that I absolutely love to read about, but there is something between them that plays a big part in some of Beta & Marin’s actions. Along with Marin, Finn is back in this read and he brings another side of Beta to the forefront, one that also shows strength and determination. But too me my OTP has got be Marin & Beta.
But just as we think maybe there could be a possibility of a way to overcome the evil that has disrupted Beta’s life things are about to be thrown off!

Once again we were given twists and turns that make it even harder to put this read down, we cannot forget the magic that is weaved through the story and the history of it.
I loved that we are still learning all new things along with Beta, whether it’s the history of the planet she is on, the Fost, the E’Mani or even her own Power it made everything seem more real, and as though we were there living out the story ourselves.

Overall this was an incredible read that I loved that I got the chance to read, and cannot wait to delve into this world again in Book 3- to see what continues with Beta’s story - and whether they can finally overcome this evil! With plenty more story to be told I cannot wait to thrown back into this world!

Can't Forget by Colleen S. Myers was a fast pace, epic science fiction fantasy drama, that has me hooked just as must as the first book.

The second book in the Solum Series, is a continuations series so I highly suggest you read the first book, as it will give you much needed backstory and get a better understanding of Bata and Marin. I very much enjoyed reading about Bata and Marin, it fit better in this book and actually added something good to the plot and at times drove it forward.

What I will say, and something I find irritating with female MC's/the hero; was that she fell into the whole,I can do it myself trope. She didn't listen to reason and, it bit her hard in the behind. But it's like TV, no matter what I mutter into the book she's an't going to listen. I do get it, I do, it moves the story forwards, crates drama, and a deadly situation. I just didn't like the whole "You can't tell me what to do!" trope. No one likes to be told what they can and can't do. But sometimes, closing your mouth and processing why a person is asking you not to do something dangerous, could save your life. I'm in the military, so I know this, teach this and stress this, to my young subordinates that have the same attitudes.

Outside of that, like the first book, we are still getting pieces of Bata's past, this drives not only the plot but the reader. The authors does this through flashbacks, and they're pretty intense. There is bit of a plot bomb towards the end, and you are going to have your mouths opened. I'm not going to say, cause I don't want to ruin a thing about this original read. Not only is the writing smooth and easy to follow but the raw emotions that it's lace with, will pull at your hearts string, snapping them, making you feel for Bata, and for the hell that she went through.

Overall this book, this series is a must read. I give this book my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval. It's truly something special and I can't wait to get my hands on the next book..

Happy Reading.

Love the uniqueness of this story, and this story is really developing with this installment in this series. Elizabeth's memories are still unclear about her time as a prisoner with vicious aliens, and as the memories begin to become more clear, Elizabeth knows one thing, and that is that she wants revenge for the torture they put her through and all of the humans they killed when they invaded Earth. Luckily Elizabeth has found a new home with a different group aliens, and has found love with Marin, but all isn't blissful when they don't agree on the course of action that should be taken to deal with the vicious aliens. When the evil aliens begin causing problems for Elizabeth, she knows she needs to take action, and there is also the little issue of Elizabeth's one-time lover, Finn, who still wants a chance with Elizabeth. Elizabeth has to deal with a lot in this book, and she showed strength. Elizabeth and Marin's relationship is really sweet, and I loved their connection, but I was disappointed in some of Marin's actions, and even some of Elizabeth's actions. The whole Zara thing really made me super ticked at Marin, and I can understand some of the Finn stuff, but I think some of it stepped over the line of appropriate, so I was getting a bit ticked at Elizabeth for that, but I'm much more peeved at Marin's actions. I still like him though, and I'm looking forward to seeing how Colleen S. Myers is going to develop this story. There's some adventure in this book that I really enjoyed, and I liked that we get to see a bit more of the world Colleen S. Myers has created. There's still a lot of story to be told, so I'm hoping the next book will be soon! I want it now!

Can't Forget: If she can't forget her past, she won't have a future. (Solum Series Book 2)
By: Colleen S. Myers
5 out of 5 stars

The story Can't Forget: If she can't forget her past, she won't have a future. (Solum Series Book 2) by Colleen S. Myers is a science fiction/fantasy book. It is a story that hooked me in when I read the first book and now has hooked me in again with the second. I was mesmerized and found myself not wanting to put the book down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about Beta and Marin. Beta is a woman determined to find the E”mani and she has revenge on her mind. She is on a mission and not even Marin can stand in the way of her plans. Even though she knows that her actions could anger Marin she still pushes forward. Marin is a man that is totally in love with Beta. He wants to keep her safe. Beta has done the unexpected and now he refuses to let her throw her life away. Beta is someone who doesn’t like to be told what she can and can’t do. Marin is one that protects the one he loves. Will it take a threat to Marin’s safety to make her realize just how much she needs him? What does Beta remember about her past and what will it mean for her future? Read this book to find out. This is a wonderfully written story that I highly recommend reading. It is part of a series and in order to fully understand what is going on, I would recommend reading the stories in order. I love the romance between Beta and Marin. There are some steamy scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

This is book two in the Solum Series from Colleen S. Myers. I would highly recommend that you read the first book in the series, “Must Remember” before you dive into this one. There is a lot of detail in that book and it really sets you up for this one. As well as being a continuation from the first.

I have to say this one sort of bothered me. I had trouble liking/ connecting to Elizabeth (Beta). I found myself hollering at her in my mom voice a several times while reading the book. She really just needed to stop being so darn stubborn. I get why a character having these flaws sets up the way for future story lines but this one was just a bit too much. I don’t know maybe it was me, but that would have been the only reason for me why I knocked off a star. Everything else was engaging and interesting. I enjoyed the way Myers can build a fantastic world you can escape into. Her stories are fast paced and you often feel as if they are over before you barely have begun.

Like I said before this does pick up from the first book. Elizabeth, or Beta found herself in a whole new world from her typical college student life in that one. Now in an alien world she is also in the middle of a love triangle. (Those area always fun!) This one we discover more about her relationship with Marin. I did enjoy that aspect a lot, and Marin personally.

The E’mani is also still around and that means danger of course. This is where her stubbornness with come in to play and she will get herself in some trouble. She is also forced to make the decision to forget her past and embrace the future. Can she do this? I am looking forward to seeing what will come next in the Solum series.

Can’t Forget is the second instalment in Colleen S. Myers’ Solum Series, that takes off right where the first one ends. Elizabeth (Beta) Camden is struggling to understand her memories of the time she was with the E’mani. She’d thought that she had repressed them and lost them for good, until they begin creeoing their way back into her head. Unable to understand then and what the E’mani did to her while she was captive, sends her on the path of revenge to take down the E’mani’s stronghold in the dead of night. If Beta can’t forget her past, she won’t have a future.
It took me awhile to get into this series and enjoy the books, as all the new information is thrown rapidly at the reader, and it takes a minute to orientate yourself. Which can sometimes be an effective writing device, but other times it can feel a bit rushed and things get lost in translation. I found this to be the case for the start, and had to go back and forth to make sure I understood everything clearly and correctly. After I settled in and got the hang of everything I really started to enjoy the series and this book in particular. Marin and Beta’s chemistry together was fantastic and will leave you feeling flushed and giddy. Their tension was very well written and almost had me wanting more. I also enjoyed the creativity that went into writing this series and combination of magic and technology. I thought it was done very well, as it’s not a combination that you see often, or that works well together. But the author definitely proved that wrong.
Overall I gave Can’t Forget 3/5 stars.

A great read about remembering. Elizabeth was abducted by aliens called the E'mani and taken to a far away planet but she fled from them to another race called the Forst. A few months later she finds her happy ever after in marriage and a baby. But the E'mani are not far behind and the threat of war looms. Will the Forst be able to stop the E'mani and war before it's too late?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Marin protecting everyone but kind underneath or Elizabeth standing up for herself but loving underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the kind old mentor Ute or the fun friend Hana. A spinechilling villain.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the sci fi nature of the place with glistening lakes and icy world of two suns with blue and green shadows for a futuristic yet beautiful sense of nature.
And the sense of detail in the world with the layout and clan tents and greenhouses clearly thought out and described as if you were exploring it too.
I also loved the use of foreboding over the whole wedding scenes which was beautifully done. The use of flashbacks memories was done well and didn't distract from the narrative of the present and added to the mystery. The only issue I would raise is that there was some repetition in places which if resolved would be five stars. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Can’t Forget (Solum Series Book 2)
By Colleen S. Myers
4 stars

Another great read in this series! This book should be read after book 1 as it is a continuation of the story. Even though I really enjoyed book 1 in this series I think this one was even better. I loved reading more about Beta and Martin. I still really liked Beta and admired her determined attitude, she knew what she wanted and she wasn’t going to let anybody, not even Martin, get in her way! Martin was sweet and really just wanted to protect Beta the best he could, however with her mind set on revenge he was finding that a little, if not very, difficult.
There were again some great twists and turns in the story that made it all the more exciting to read. The imaginative world that Ms Myers has created in this series is amazing, I really feel like I can visualise the setting at all times.
A great second book in this series that I highly recommend! I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Can't Forget Book 2 in the Solum Series by Colleen S. Myers
4 Stars!!!!

I am forever reading books in series out of order but I found that I didn't have trouble in understanding what was happening in this book. I do love an alien based book. I found the author had a very refreshing style. I quite liked the plot and was quite drawn into this book.

Elizabeth and Marin have such a unique and special chemistry. I was quite drawn to them as a pair.
The way the author uses the back flashes of Elizabeth's past really add to the drama of the book.
I found myself feeling the emotions along with her and also her fears. I really do need to get the
other books in the series read and I plan on not only reading them but also reading this book again
as I feel as though I have found another author to add to my top favorites!

Can’t Forget: If she can't forget her past, she won't have a future (solum series) book 2 by Colleen S. Myers

Four Stars

This story was very interesting. I liked the combination of different races. Beta has met many of them but it isn’t really explained what that purpose was for. I don’t like love triangles they always end with someone feeling hurt. I did enjoy how the author shaped the male characters. Though Marin is a pure Alpha he shows such compassion and love for beta. Finn is super sweet and understanding he doesn’t stress her out or push her to pick one of them. I would recommend that you read the first book. Beta is very strong character and knows that the destroyers of earth will be coming back for her. She takes matters into her own hand and leaves Marin because she knew that as the Chief it would be harder for him.

Can’t Forget: If She Can’t Forget About Her Past, She Won’t Have a Future by Colleen S Myers is the second book in the Solum series.
We are taken back into the lives of Beta and Marin. Beta knows that the E’mani won’t just let her life her life. She knows they will come for her. And she can’t wait to exact revenge when that happens. But with her heart also on the line the fight is even more dangerous.
This book was as good as the first, if not better. Because the characters were so well developed in book one it was extremely easy to slip back into their story. I couldn’t wait to find out how this story would develop and I was definitely not disappointed. As well written and engaging as the first book this is shaping up to be a brilliant series.

Can't Forget (Solum Series Book 2) by Colleen S. Myers is a Sci Fi story and the second book in the series. The book could be read as a stand-alone, but I strongly suggest you read the first book to get the back story of the characters and the world Colleen has created. The characters and relationships are developing and changing as we unravel the secrets of the story. Colleen has done a good job of making everything vivid and imaginable and you find yourself waging war on their behalf. Whilst living in a strange world with different species, Beta is trying to stay safe from the evil who kidnapped her and destroyed her family and friends and the only world she had ever known, Earth. Now her whole world is about to be tilted off its axis and destroy her happiness once again.

I very much enjoyed reading about Bata and Marin. There were again some great twists and turns in the story that made it all the more exciting to read. Love how the author’s imaginative world that lead her to created this amazing series. I really feel like I can visualise the setting at all times.

Amazing book 2

The story follows 4 months after the first book ended. Marin and Beta are happy and after a few months of coaxing are getting married (mating). Of course the E'mani arrive and cause great damage. Beta and a few others seek out answers and revenge in the "town" industry. They meet others like Beta some of different races. They learn why they were taken and all combine forces to fight back. Marin and Beta must learn to trust each other to understand that Beta has to fight. Many are lost and the book ends in a cliffhanger so hopefully another book will soon follow.

Can’t Forget written by Colleen Myers is the second book in the Solum Series. Can’t Forget starts off perfectly where Must Remember ends. The two stories flowed flawlessly from on to another with the story continuing to grow. The action, the love, the lies all grow until there’s nothing left. I am looking forward to book three and can’t wait to see how the story ends. Throughout the story I feel like Elizabeth belongs to both Finn and Marin. She loves them both but in different ways there a few surprises along the way that you don’t see coming and a few make you want to cry for everything Elizabeth has gone through just to survive.

Can’t Forget is the second book in the Solum series by Colleen S. Meyers and it just as action packed as Must Remember (book 1). This book has a lot of bumps and curves. I was reading along and then out of nowhere there was a sharp turn that I did not see coming at me. Beta (Elizabeth) is on a mission. She wants to go after E’Mani, the one who kidnapped her. Beta reminds me of a strong willed young version of myself. I love the books were I can relate to the main character and feel like we are one together. What will the future holds? I personally cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

This is the second book in this series and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I was pulled right into the story by the creative characters that made me feel part of their journey. Beta is my favorite, she is determined and strong but she also knows that the E’mani won’t soon be forgetting about her. That determination will put her and someone she cares for in danger which leaves her questioning if she will ever be able to leave her past behind? I highly recommend reading this book to find out.

Can't Forget by Colleen S Myers
Stars: 4

This is the second story in the Solum series. I absolutely loved seeing these characters again. We get deeper in the relationships between different characters. We get to know more of Elizabeth and her past. We get to learn more about Elizabeth's and Marin's relationship and the ups and downs that they experience. I feel that this story was a great story to follow up the first and to build up to the third! Colleen Myers does a great job of constructing this whole new world for us, and then getting us stuck inside of it!

This is a continuation from Must Remember. The Fost are beginning to accept Elizabeth "Beta" Camden. All due the clan leader Marin. The Imani have not forgotten her. When they strike, they take something precious. Beta has made a decision. Her dreams are becoming more vivid. She must find the labs. She feels that is where the answers will be. Will the price be to high to pay?
I plan to read the next book to see where this all ends.

This book is okay. I wasn't totally grabbed by this book, mainly because the characters weren't grabbing me and because I haven't read the first book. Even with that said, this book can still be enjoyed, just maybe not by everyone. I would recommend reading book 1 first before reading this one. This one might be more enjoyable then.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It is well written, rich in detail, and has a steady pace. The characters are somehow believable even given the storyline and setting. Although a bit heavy in the amount of sex, it was a good book. The author has a unique voice and a clear ability for story telling regardless of where the story takes place.

Same wavelength as the first book with some sorrow, discontent and an animal instinct vibe.
