A fast-paced suspenseful story set predominantly in Ireland, with the ending in Oregon. Politics, crooked priests, psychics matters, an ancient Catholic rosary all feature in this mystery. Recommended.

Excellent

A fun read with humor, crime, romance, history and a wee bit of what some would describe as blarney. A perfect mixture for a grand reading experience.

LIGHT READING PERFECT FOR A LAZY SUMMER AFTERNOON READ. LIZZY IS AN EMERGING PSYCHIC SO THE BOOK HAS A LITTLE OF THAT GOING ON. THIS BOOK FOR ME WAS LIKE READING A TRAVEL LOG/HISTORY ON IRELAND. I ALSO THINK LIZZY SHOULD BUY STOCK IN HER CELL PHONE COMPANY IT WOULD BE A VERY GOOD INVESTMENT IF SHE CONTINUES HER CELL PHONE HISTORY. ;-}

This is the first book by Kelly Running that I have read. I love to read anything that is Celtic so looked forward to reading it. I like to read about the magic/physic/legends and there were several of them in this book. Unfortunately, I thought there were too many characters making it difficult to keep everyone in mind and I found myself asking "who was that, what did they do, how do they fit in with who). The book seemed to be chopped up paragraph sometimes not feeling that they added to the story. And there were several events that didn't feel could really have happened.

Enjoyable to read

This is a very pleasant book to read. The plot was a bit preposterous, with Lizzy being chased, kidnapped, drugged, etc a few too many times. The characters are rather one dimensional, with the exception of the heroine. Locations could have been described in more detail. As one interested in all things Irish, I am glad that I read it....learned about"penal rosaries", which I hadn't heard of before.

I wanted to love this book. It has great potential, but is really more than an outline for what could be a great novel. Running does not do enough to develop either her characters or the plot, assuming people have both read her previous book, and understand the situation in the north of Ireland. If I could, I would encourage her to go back and flesh this out -- it would be a real winner -- Catholicism, the IRA, faeries and spiritualism,

A decent mystery that takes place in Ireland and Oregon. I find it odd when a story is based at home (Oregon). Authors tend to take liberties with geography. The author of this book took liberties with downtown Portland. What was discribed as a short walk was actually quite a ways for a "short" walk. Details, details. In any case, I enjoyed this book.

Celtic Ties

An intriguing mystery, the second book in the Lizzy O'Malley Mystery Series. Although this is the second book in the series, it can be read as a stand alone book. The adventure starts in Ireland, ends in America, and gives a touch of history regarding the people and the religion of Ireland.

Confusing

This book started out really well and very interesting, but it completely lost me in the middle somewhere. So much was going on and it didn’t seem to be related at all. The author made a valiant effort to tie everything up at the end, but by then I had lost most of my interest in the book.

Could not put it down. I had to know who was trying to kill Lizzy. To be honest, I was more interested in her learning her powers than the other plots and sideline stories. I also found that I liked the first mystery better and I like Lizzy a little less after reading this one. She's a bit of a hoe and often I don't find the relevance.

Psychics, Fairies, Talking Stones

If you're into psychics and yes leaf readings etc, then you will be in for a treat if you read this book. You'll be taken on quite a trip to Ireland and the back to Portland, Oregon and the Oregon coast. I hope you enjoy this adventure as much as I did.

I enjoyed this book. I liked the stuff about Ireland scenery, and history. Some of the history is sad though, that people fought about religion. I realize that different Kings outlawed one religion or another, but it’s sad that people weren’t free to worship as they wanted

Mystery and intrigue

I don't read a lot of mysteries but I really enjoyed this one. I think it helps that it is mostly set in Ireland. It made me think about my family history and wish I had learned more about it. This was well written and held my attention. I might even enjoy more of the authors work. Give it a look.

just good fluff!

A quick and easy read on a night where your mind won’t calm down, and you need a getaway that isn’t too… tooo much romance, violence, Hollywood, etc.
it’s a good book to take your mind off things, be able to put it down for a moment, then find yourself pulling it up on your phones kindle app while having a cig.

Irish Eyes

The story certainly kept me enthralled until I completed reading. Phony priests, a special rosary, and a microchip all have a place in this tale. Lizzy is a heroine to watch in future books. She is brave and cool as she finds solutions to some fascinating problems.

An interesting story

Loved the Irish reference to Grace O’Malley. In the Irish it would be Grannies. The characters were interesting, the only thing I would have like to know is how the Father became was involved in the in plot as one of the bad guys.

Enjoyed this book tremendously. It’s a fast and somewhat believable read full of Irish customs and lore. I really liked the main character with happily ever after replaced by promises of more to come.

I didn't think too much of this book. The Irish part didnt strike true (I've lived there), the plot was rather weak and her 'behaviour' was risky to say the least. I wont be reading any more of this series.

This is the second in a two book series. Hopefully, there will be more in the series. I really liked the first one set in Sedona, AZ. Navajo mysticism is always a must read for me. Number two is primarily set in Ireland which is always delightful.

While this book did not have a lot of depth or complicated characters ... I enjoyed it. It was one of those books that you read when you really don't want something heavy that requires your concentration to understand. I guess I would refer to it as a 'light read'.

Slow moving

While the story is interesting, it felt like it took forever to get to the climactic ending. Lots of intertwined characters, plotline filled with twists and turns. Moves between Oregon and Ireland, teaching Irish culture and politics along the way.

Recommend especially if you know Ireland

This was very different than what I normally read. I found it interesting and a bit more serious. Having Irish blood running through my veins, I enjoyed the descriptions of the land and pubs.

Mystery on so many levels

Romance, mystery, suspense and a good mixture of ESP and knowledge beyond the normal makes this novel interesting, well paced and developed. Ireland's standing Stones, folklore come alive and political conflicts pack the story line.

An Irish run and ruckus with a little sex and kidnapping....

The story is original, the main character enticing, and the story wound up a bit longer than expected. The criminals were easy to figure out, but the Karma and extra capabilities saved the story from being tossed out.
