కొన్ని పట్టుదలలుంటాయి. జీవితంలో జరిగినవన్నీ గుర్తుండవు. గుర్తుండే బలమైన సంఘటనలైనా జ్ఞాపకాలలో అప్పుడప్పుడూ కదులుతాయి. కానీ పసితనంలో కృష్ణకి మేనత్త కృష్ణవేణమ్మ వల్ల జరిగిన అవమానం అహర్నిశలూ గుర్తొస్తూ రక్తాన్ని మరిగించే పట్టుదలగా మారింది. కాని మేనత్త కూతురు మీనాని చూశాక మనసులో ఏదో తియ్యటి సంచలనం తలెత్తింది.

Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani (యద్దనపూడి సులోచనారాణి), is a renowned Telugu novelist. She was very popular among the ladies and younger generation with her fiction novels based on love stories and drama, with a great fan following during the 1970s and early '80s. Many of her stories were made into movies in Telugu language as well.

Meena...a strong woman characterised by the author....she is temperamental yet lovable and sentimental.....though the story was plotted many years back...it can be easily related to current days...thanks to director Trivikram sir for routing back young people to reading these kind of books..

so many mixed feelings. sometimes meena is naive, innocent, sometimes a spoilt brat, sometimes an airhead, and sometimes just stupidly stubborn. had to bite my lip at some of her decisions too. but nonetheless, I enjoyed reading this book. on to the next part I go!

నిజంగా సత్యభామే!

Usually have no patience for airheaded behavior, but Meena is just deeply endearing, even with all of her flaws. She is a naive "teenager" and an impulsive brat, but she is also unassuming and caring and just wants the best for the people she loves. I really appreciate that the book didn't have "taming the shrew" undertones - yes Meena has flaws and she needs to tone it down but there's no implication that she needs to completely reinvent herself or have less self confidence. Even if some of the things she does are really quite audacious!

There was less banter between Meena and Krishna than I expected, but the little we saw was quite cute so I'm looking forward to more of that in the next book.

The writing in this is extremely meandering. It could be half the length if we simply got to the point lmao. Like the dedication to describing all her sarees! I actually wish I could understand and picture them because damn this girl is fashionable.

This is my first Yuddanapudi Sulochana Rani novel and I loved it..మీనా -1 is a dramatic romance novel whose Story is narrated by Meena. Meena for me is a naive rich girl who has mommy issues. She has her marriage fixed without her consent The other character who has the same situation ( not mommy issues) is Rajeshwari (Raju) who is Meena's poor cousin.There are two other parllel characters who are Meena's dad and Krishna (Raju's Brother) . They once were faced with same situation where each chose different paths and ended in different situations where both are not happy. Now all this going to change because of the small vacation of Meena to Raju and Krishna house, Meena is going to make her opinion matter as well as Raju's and She probably might marry Krishna (Not Blood Related) Meena is a key character who's gonna change all the four lifes for ever.
