Playboy’s Baby was a fun read – don’t get me wrong, it had drama and I LOVE ME SOME DRAMA!! I just fell in love with the characters. Liam is a DJ – I’ve never read a book about a DJ and I can now say I look at DJ’s completely different. Liam is married to an evil woman and they are in need of a surrogate, enter Lourdes, she is a single mom ( daddy passed before Toby was born and in such a tragic way – it was heart breaking), she is also going to school to become a lawyer. As you can imagine being a single mom and trying to afford law school – making ends meet is difficult – she decides to become a surrogate for the extra funds. What she doesn’t plan on happening is falling in love with a married man. What she find out stumps her – the marriage is not as she thought and Amira ( the evil wife) is a selfish awful horrible person that Liam is currently stuck with.
Toby, Lourdes’ son is absolutely adorable – he was so well written. I smiled every time he spoke! How could you not? He’s a cute little two year old boy! Oh, the fun times!!
Dr. Seuss also makes multiple appearances and ALWAYS made me laugh!! I loved the rhymes Liam came up with!!

Playboy's Baby.....What a read. From start to finish we were completely captivated. We laughed, we cried, we held our breath.
We absolutely loved the banter between the characters often laughing our butts off.
We loved the emotion throughout the novel, sometimes finding ourselves wiping our own tears just so we could continue on.
We fell in love with Lourdes and her amazing strength and determination.
We fell in love with Liam and his witty sense of humour and amazingly big heart.
As for Amira......Yep so not gonna mention the Ice Queen....No way!!!
Overall Playboy's Baby is an amazingly mesmerising read that shouldn't be missed.
We loved every minute of it.
It's confronting, raw, highly emotional.....Ohh and don't forget sinfully delicious!!
It has everything and more.
Emerson Rose had yet again given us a truly beautiful, breathtaking, heart breaking, sexy and heartfelt read.
A definite 5 star.

So we meet Liam who is the world famous electronic music DJ Freedon and he travels the world giving fans what they want and he also owns a nightclub in L.A. One morning he wakes up with Amira Oni and he has a ring on his finger and has no memory of what happed. He realizes that Amira injected him with some drug and during that time they partied hard, fell in love an got married. Now six months later he wants out, but Amira is a psycho and won’t let him go. So they try to improve their situation by trying to have a baby, but instead of the normal way they decide to use a surrogate to carry the baby.
Enter Lourdes, a single mom trying to find a way to pay for law school. A friend suggests she look in to being a surrogate. After looking into it she agrees and meets with Liam and Amira. Liam realizes that Lourdes is perfect and becomes even more frustrated that Amira is in the picture. So Liam persuades Lourdes to come see him at work and works to convince her that he would be a good father even without Amira.
So, will Lourdes help them? Will Liam get divorced from Amira?
OMG, this had quite the twists and turns. In a million years I could not have predicted how this ends. Of course I won’t spoil it for you, but seriously I wanted Liam to find a way to get a HEA with Lourdes. She was so sweet and he was such a good guy even though he starts off as a playboy.

Lourdes is a single mom trying to make her way through law school. She needs money, plain and simple. Liam is an international DJ and is in a sham of a marriage. According to his “wife” [and I use that term loosely], the only hope he has of getting out of his marriage to her is to have a baby [I know, crazy right?]. Lourdes decides to become a surrogate for a couple in need, and Liam is in desperate need…for Lourdes.
There are several ways that author, Emerson Rose could have gone with this story that probably would have caused many people to hate Liam. However, she didn’t take the fast and easy route. She built their relationship in a slow and steady way. She shows you that even a playboy can be an honorable man when he finally finds what he didn’t even know he was searching for. With this line alone Liam had me falling for him, “I am in love, and out of it I will not go.”
I give Playboy’s Baby 4 stars and I look forward to more from Emerson Rose.

I received this for a honest review. This makes the second book I have read of Emerson Rose. I loved the story, but to be honest I have to say I was wondering how much I was going to like it starting out. I truly hated the character Amira. As you read farther you see she is perfect for the story.
Liam was this handsome playboy DJ. He was living the life, well until Amira came crashing in his world. Amira was this Nigerian princess. When she saw something she wanted she did not stop until it was hers and she wanted Liam. The lengths she took to make sure Liam was hers was awful. I can not imagine the nightmare Liam felt he was living when he woke up finding he had been drugged and now was married.
Liam wanted out of the marriage that was forced upon him. He was having problems getting out of it. Amira’s father was a monster. He would not allow them to divorce or the would destroy Liam. Liam was stuck between a rock and a hard place.
I bet Liam was floored when Amira came to him wanting to get a surrogate woman to carry their child. Amira was so full of herself she did not want to destroy her body to have a child. When reading this story you had to wonder what fate was thinking. I am sure Liam thought fate was cruel. Here he was meeting the surrogate and she was the woman of his dreams.
Lourdes need the money. It was not like a guy was going to come in and pay for her college and things her son would need. She was a single mother during her best to get by. So when the subject of being a surrogate came up she thought very serious on the idea.
Lourdes knew she did not want to meet with the Wilds. Liam Wild was so handsome and Lourdes knew that she would be in trouble if she met with them. She was way to attracted to Liam. She was having some very naughty fantasy about him.
I loved the interaction between Lourdes and Liam. Of course Lourdes friend Kit was not helping the situation. I think Kit was rooting for Lourdes and Liam. Kit knew them both so the knew that Liam was in a very unhappy marriage and he knew Lourdes need a good man in her life.
Though they decide to go with artificial insemination it was not long before they found out Lourdes was pregnant. I think it was great that Amira was not around to enjoy this experience. It gave Lourdes and Liam a chance to bond more. They were getting close. So when they got some devastating news it make them both feel like their world was crashing down. It seems like once something good starts to happen something real bad is just around the corner. The two of them just can not get a break.
There are a lot of surprises in this book. This is a great story and you wonder many times how it is going to turn out.

A quick note before my review. I have followed this Author for quite some time now and I have read every book she has. Every single book is a must read. Her writing is spectacular. The storylines will draw you in and you will feel every emotion.

He is one of the most popular DJ's and travels the world giving his fans what they want. Amira is the nightmare. She is self centered and a brat to boot. He wants a divorce but her tycoon father wants a grandchild in hopes that this will turn his daughters wild ways around.
With not even a ounce of conviction, Amira announces that it must be through a surrogate.
When they meet Lourdes, Liam is immediately enthralled with her. She is the polar opposite of Amira.
Lourdes is a single mother struggling to get through college. Her dream of becoming a lawyer is slowing slipping from her grasp. When she is approached with the surrogacy ideal, she thinks: no way but decides to give it a shot. She is also taken back by Liam and his manner.

I received an ARC for my honest review.
Lourdes is a single mother trying to pay to put herself through law school, when her brother in-law gives her an idea to help make the money she needs- Surrogacy. Liam Wild is a superstar DJ that has ended up in a sham of a marriage to a Nigerian princess. Liam and his wife Amira need a surrogate, this is where they meet Lourdes. There's an instant connection between Liam and Lourdes, but Lourdes doesn't know his marriage is a sham otherwise she wouldn't be agreeing to carry the baby for the couple.
This story is full of shocks, nothing is easy for Liam and Lourdes, their relationship blooms at super speed but they have a lot to deal with before they can commit properly. Both Liam and Lourdes are very loveable characters right from the beginning. Amira, Liam's wife is definitely the villain in this book I hated her so much!
This is the second book I've read by this author and I have to say it is a little different from the first book Kings Baby, I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the first. For me this one lacked the intensity, don't get me wrong it is a great story it just didn't leave me wowed like the first one.

Give up a baby she’s carried for nine months to that mean woman? All is not as it seems though and the chemistry between Liam and Lourdes is hard to say no to. She didn’t plan on what would come next…
Every time I think I’ve found the perfect hero, I’m proven wrong! Each book I read from Ms. Emerson, just keeps getting better than the last. Playboy’s Baby is not like any other romance I’ve ever read and I think the plot is not only adorable, but completely unique. Liam is such an awesome hero and there for the heroine like nobody’s business. There were many surprises that kept my interest piqued like never before. Not a bit of boring in this book! Ms. Rose has a knack for making the reader “feel” the tenderness and love. I must say, I’m impressed and I can’t wait for more! Playboy’s Baby is a Must Read! Don’t you dare miss it! 5 Stars!

I loved, loved, loved Playboy’s Baby! Here is the summary of my review: Playboy’s Baby brought good chills to me when reading it. I loved this book and Liam James is so worthy of Lourdes. Kit is hilarious especially at the end of the book. Toby is precocious & Adorable. Amira is a big “B” that rhymes with witch. Lourdes is wonderful and deserves all the good things that have finally happened to her.
Playboy’s Baby is a standalone book with an HEA. And, in order not to give away anything from the book I am going to be vague. I love Dr. Seuss and Winnie the Pooh and I am sure you will too!
Playboy’s Baby was an ARC but, I will be the first in line to buy this book because Playboy’s Baby deserves a verified purchase that Amazon puts on the books that are reviewed. Lourdes is a single mom struggling to pay for school and needs cash, fast. Liam is an international superstar DJ, married to a evil woman, who needs to have a baby, fast. The two come from completely different worlds, yet fit together perfectly.
There were a couple times I wanted to reach through my kindle and smack some of the characters around, especially Amira, Liam's wife. But Lourdes and Liam needed a few whacks as well at times.
The story took some turns I didn't expect, but which were really enjoyable. Overall, I really liked this book.

Okay legit.. I liked the book, I really did. Now I bet you're wondering.. if she liked the book then why 3 stars and not 4.... well
The story line is like hella unbelievable... like it's not meant to be real I know but this was sooooo far left I was like HUH... like none of these reasons are valid to do any of these things... like at all. I found myself going "now that is a super dumb reason"... never the less.. it wrapped up nicely.
So if you can peter pan it and use your imagination... then you probably will enjoy it too!

I loved this book. So different from the others I have been reading. A International DJ drugged and married. Falling for the surrogate carrying his baby. A single mom trying to pay her way thru college. He's trying to get out of his shame of a marriage.
This book is sweet, funny, has twists and makes you love and hate the characters ( mostly Amira) with a great HEA

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is an interesting scenario to say the least. The hands-off-while-I'm-married relationship was a refreshing change from the usual romantic stories. Liam is a very lovable, sensitive and loyal guy and Lourdes is a quiet, down-to-earth sweetheart. It had a few unforeseen twists, and a few laughs. A worthwhile read.

March 8, 2016This was a quick read that had a lot of drama in it. The plot moved quickly and the characters were likeable. There was a quite a build up to the hot scenes but it made the story more believable. I would recommend this book to others.

Liam is a world famous DJ who got drugged by this psycho woman named Amira Oni- come to find out she is some Nigerian princess and she is stuck hard on him and got him while he was drugged, to marry her. Now they are together and he cant stand her. No matter what he says to her , how bad he wants out , she wont go . Her new plan is that they have a baby to please her father. She doesnt want to carry it, because her figure is very important and plus she is only doing this to please her father and keep in his will since Liam is so determined to go thru with the divorce. She plans on a surrogate to carry the baby. Liam is just wanting his crazy wife to even out and keep things normal and stress free and if this will do it, well, he is all for it.
Enter the surrogate-Lourdes, a single mom who is wanting to help find a way to pay for law school. Her brother in law suggests surrogacy as a way. She told him she would think it over and after reviewing eveything, she decides this would be ok and ends up meeting Liam and Amira. Liam realizes that Lourdes is actually the one for him and cant stand Amira is around. Lourdes gets the picture that things arent good and that Amira is not a very nice person and decides against being their surrogate. When she tells them she doesnt think so, Liam races into overdrive to get her to meet with him and to convince her to be HIS surrogate. He is head over heels for her and cant stand it that Amira is messing things up and is around. He feels things for Lourdes so he does finally convince her to be the surrogate and now he is going to have to get to work on getting Amira out of his life, get Lourdes in his life and married to him for that is how serious he is about her but life is to take an unexpected turn...what does Amira have up her sleeve? What unexpected crisis happens to Lourdes?
I loved this story about how Wild this man is for his true lady love and the steps he took to prove his love. True love is the name of the game here and it played true. I highly recommend this story.

One night after a performance he wakes up in bed with Amira Oni with her claiming that they are married. Liam tries to figure out how that could have happened and remembers the night before at his performance being approached by Amira and feeling a stab recognizing now that he was drugged by her. She is crazy and refuses to give him a divorce saying she needs to prove to her father she has changed her wild ways by being married and having a baby. But she does not want to ruin her figure by actually carrying a baby so she suggests hiring a surrogate.
Lourdes is a single mom of a 2 year old little boy who is her world. She wants to become a lawyer and has completed one year of school but has to find a way to pay for the rest of her schooling to get her degree. Her brother-in-law suggests possibility of becoming a surrogate – saying not only would all her medical bills be covered she would be highly compensated that would allow her to finish her schooling.
Liam is such a caring sweet person while Amira is the opposite – it seems their only common denominator is sex but will that be enough to keep them together as a family?
This story has some twists and turns that keep you reading wanting to know what happens next. I hated seeing the book end, I thoroughly enjoyed the story but felt the ending was a bit rushed.

I adore this author writing and thought King's Baby was fantastic; however, I think this book has an nice storyline and a lot more could have been drawn from the events ( marriage while being drugged). The characters had a real “go with the flow” type of attitude, and when there were certain conflicts that could create high tension between the Liam Wild and Amari Oni it appeared the characters would just shrug their shoulders and move on as if nothing had happened. I did think Amari was a down-right bit$$. Then Lourdes Kennedy come into the picture to be a surrogate mother for the Wild family and I think that's where I got disconnected from the story. . I don't feel like we got to witness enough of the relationship buildup to make me invested in the couple ( Liam and Lourdes). What made the first book so interesting was lacking in this book. There wasn't a whole lot of action or twists( yes,Lourdes end up with cancer) and it was sadden at times but it missed something. Overall, a good read with a HEA!!

The book starts with Liam and his story. How he was tricked into marrying a witch named Amira. Oh she's a piece of work! Liam really doesn't want to be with her but she's playing dirty. Amira tells Liam that if they have a baby, her father will see she's serious about her life and let them have a divorce.
That's where Lourdes comes in. Lourde's is a single mom going to school to become a lawyer. She had to take time off when her baby was born. Now she's trying to figure out how she's going to work, raise a 2yr old and go to school with her heaviest semester coming up. Her sister suggests becoming a surrogate for a couple that can't have children.
Through some mix up Lourdes ends up meeting Liam and his crazy wife as one of her potential family-to-be.
The chemistry is amazing between Lourdes & Liam. But he's married and she won't do that.
This was a great story. I loved it. I loved the interactions between Lourdes & Liam and how Liam took care of her once she let him.
I definitely will look for more by this author!

Having read this authors first book I was extremely excited to read this one!
It was different from anything I have read and to be honest my emotions got the best of me!
Liam and Lourdes story is amazing
This is a love story that is completely different to anything I have read before and to say I thoroughly enjoyed reading it might be an understatement. I was hooked from start to finish!! One character I really loved(besides Liam and Lourdes) was Lourdes friend Kit, he was a hoot!!!
There were some rather sad moments where you wondered what would happen. I liked the premise of the story and cannot wait to see what Emerson Rose has next up her sleeve!

Gifted an ARC for an honest review....
This is the second book I have read of Emerson's and have mixed feelings. I not often read a book with so many characters that need a thump on the head for being either too stupid, too bitchy, too laid-back, too much of a door mat, or just plain too much. The pace was a little off at times, some characters were interesting, Liam and Lourdes, some not so much. Overall, an OK read. Definitely will give Emerson another try.

This is quite an interesting love story where the couple meets under some pretty unique circumstances and I really enjoyed reading this! I loved Liam and Lourdes and their situation is definitely not one I've ever read before so I enjoyed this fresh perspective. I recommend reading this to anyone and I received a copy of this book from Hidden Gems in exchange for an honest review.

I love the writing style but I always skipped...
I just don't think the other scenes were necessary.
I had a high expectation because King's Baby was soooooo great! I skipped a lot on this novel.
Dropped it at chapter 27. I've been skipping most of it so I've decided to stop and just read the ending.

"I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review." So loved this book! So not fond of his wife, does anyone else want to take her out? She used Liam got what she wanted and then left him with baggage. LK is a God send! Toby is adorable. I'm glad it all works out!

This book has totally stole my heart! Such a romantic different impossible love story! I really loved all this romantic phrases because it was so different! I highly recommend this book.

Liam was essentially hijacked into marriage by rebellious, spoiled, selfish princess Amira. He detests her. She concocts a scheme to make her awful father (who threatens to disinherit her and ruin Liam's career if they divorce) think that she and Liam are trying to make their "marriage" work by having a child--via surrogate. Then Liam meets Lourdes...
