This one of a kind, hand illustrated alphabet book combines letters with all of boys' favorite things--airplanes, dump trucks, and more! Makes a special baby shower, birth, and birthday gift! Perfect for kids ages 0-5.
Read this to my grandson and loved it. I am curious though as to who are the kids in heaven that the hand drawn illustrations are for; does anyone know?
Cute little book with words that would be associated with boys. I read it to my daughter because who cares about these gender terms... I also think it's cute whatever my little one will end up loving as my dearest step daughter loves space, dinosaurs and kittens 🙆🏻♀️ so yeah.
Definitely worth a read to the little ones and I plan to buy this in the future if daughter seems to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making the sounds of each word 😅😂.
The reason to buy your child an alphabet book is to teach your child beginning letter sounds. This uses multiple blends of two or more letters to make one sound. Using A is for Apple is fine, using A is for Airplane does not teach a child the proper sound. Using T is for Toys is correct , using T is for Train or Truck is not. The pictures are well done, with some changes this could be a great book.
I love this book. The dedication tugs at my heart strings and makes me cherish reading it to both of my children. It’s called “for boys” because it’s boy stuff but my daughter loves it too. I wish there was one for girls with ballerinas and the like because she would love that too!! It’s the perfect words and images for new talkers. It’s beautiful and simple and I’d give it as a gift.
I love this book; this book is wonderful to teach the alphabet letters to little boys. The letters in this book is really perfect for young children, and the colors are very vibrant. As a parent of a four years old boy, I am recommending this book for all toddler boy’s parents to read it to them.
George got this book for Christmas, and while I don’t love the idea of a gendered alphabet book (🙄), this book has nice drawings. Georgie enjoys pointing to the pictures and letters and turning the pages.
The hand drawn photos in this book are so amazing and my son loved them all! Very good detail you just can’t find in a lot of children’s books these days!
This book had/has great potential. The letter B says for Bulldozer and it is a front end loader. It is also deceiving because there is no crane or dump truck inside; my son gets sad almost every time he sees the book because he keeps turning the pages trying to find a crane or a dump truck.
This book design and illustrations was good back in the 80s… but feels very dated if you look around and check new releases from other publishers this year.
My son really loves this book. We have a ton of fun reading it and practicing the sounds. Each pictures is easy to identify. He did call the quarter money though lol.
This is a sweet tribute to the authors children in heaven. The illustrations and text are simple but pleasing—exactly what you’d want in an early alphabet book.
This is a great learning tool for kids that are learning their ABCs. I love the drawings and the bright colors. This would make a great gift for a little boy.
