Greater Balance, Greater Reward: Five Steps to Better Health, Productivity, and Work Life Balance

Do you ever feel stressed out? Have you ever tried to lose weight only to regain it again? Do you sometimes feel like the harder you work, the less productive you are? Greater Balance, Greater Reward provides a surprisingly simple way to overcome these challenges—by eliminating subconscious resistance to change! When author Jeff Kooz entered a stressful work environment after college, he struggled with obesity, anxiety, and burnout. He tried many popular remedies, but they only led to repeated failures and frustration. Then one day he experienced an “aha moment” that led to him losing fifty pounds in ninety days and keeping it off for ten years. Following the same five-step system, Kooz has recorded albums in three months and written books in just three days! You too can tap into this powerful problem-solving system, which Kooz brings to life through a heartwarming story about a young professional desperately seeking balance. The book then guides you through the five steps that will help you experience your own “aha moment.” If you're tired of "spinning your wheels," isn't it time for a fresh perspective? Read this book and discover the secret to better health, productivity, and balance today!

A Quick Read with a Unique Inspirational Message

In a world increasingly hostile and negative to individual peace of mind, this book stands out as a quick read with the message that you have it within yourself to achieve that elusive life balance which escapes most people. Jeff Kooz is a good storyteller and he tells a positive story, full of failure, grief, uncertainty, partial success, set backs and ultimate triumph.

Told as a cautionary, allegorical tale, it might take years of reading and rereading before you understand this fully, but whatever you try will be worth trying because success is possible. For your own particular problems, if they don't fit the types that Kunz talks about, the solutions might take longer, but it is clear from the principles that balance is the fundamental value upon which Kooz bases his success. Go for it!

If you are like me, you may keep your distance from your typical "self help" books. Not that my life is perfect, just that they are not for me. Greater Balance is far different than what I ever perceived as a "self help" read. Instead of being an instructional textbook, it is a narration through the eyes of "Ray", a man who could be any of us. In telling his story, the message is not only clear, but since it is played out in story form rather than through instructional preaching, it is much easier to accept and adopt. Greater Balance is something that seems so very obvious, yet something that we so often overlook. A highly informative read and a message that many if not all of us could afford to read.

I received a free advanced reading copy, which was a good thing, because I needed time to absorb this. The concept and application are both simple and ...nebulous. I know he says it becomes clearer as you do it, but I seemed to need other books & ideas in order to start the doing and even then I am unclear whether it's this book or others that I'm really applying. Probably doesn't matter for the end results for me, but would I be just as far ahead without this book? Maybe not, but I don't know. But for the idea and concept of balance, it is worth 4 stars, because I'm sure thinking about balance in all areas of life plays a role in my thinking now.

A New Spin on the Obvious

I enjoyed Greater Balance, Greater Reward. While the idea of "balance" can be considered obvious, Mr. Kooz's use of explaining his philosophy through a fiction narrative is refreshing. His book gives a spot-on look into how we live our lives today and offers an approach to finding balance that isn't quite so ... obvious. This book is short and to the point; he doesn't go on and on. For anyone seeking to overcome being overwhelmed by the stresses of everyday life, this book is an ideal starting point.

I received an advance copy of Jeff's book to read. His five step process relates to the necessity of balance in every aspect of our lives for total health and well-being. It is simple and easy to follow and understand. I appreciate how he applied the approach to his life and now shares this approach with others with the goal being to make people healthier, more productive, and well-rounded in all facets of their lives. I intend to apply Jeff's methodology to enhance the balance I continually strive for in my personal and professional life.

I downloaded this little gem thinking I would read it in parts over a week or so. I ended up reading it in one sitting. A wonderful concept of "balance" in life, packed inside a little novella. Ray is a character everyone can relate to at some point in their lives. One part self-help, one part philosophical, metaphysical study, and one part engaging fictional story, all combined to make up this great, informative read. Well Done.... '

Simple guide, big impact

Greater Balance, Greater Reward is a short book long on results. Told in an endearing story form akin to a parable, the book provides lessons that are far more lasting than any diet or exercise routine. These are lessons for life that one can practice daily to achieve their goals and live life with focused intention.

Book lacks focus, and organization, last page had the list, but instead of 5 it had 7. This books needs better editing. Just skip to last page to read the meat, which is only one page.
