A really good speech therapy resource. This cute little book incorporates facilitation of basic phonological awareness skills such as rhyme required for reading. It’s also a nice resource for teaching different sounds at word final position for the kiddies with SSD :)

Stop, Drop, and Flop in the Slop brings awareness to young learners who are developing a foundational understanding of consonant blends. In a friendly, yet simple story student are able to focus on how the beginning consonant blend sound change in order to form a word. The text is basic enough to allow students to place a primary focus on the skill at hand. A beneficial follow up activity would be having students use consonant blends to form different words that end in -op, or perhaps use a different ending sound.
