DNF 40% ... 2 YEARS LATER.... AFF!

Silently, he stood in the dim light as one of his two best friends screwed his wife. It had been Ryan, Shane and him since middle school, always sharing — always there for one another. Rafe guessed Ryan figured Rafe’s wife was included in what Rafe was willing to share. Wrong.

He wanted a fresh slate. To have the last eight years back — that’s what he wanted most of all, but since that was impossible, he’d simply have to erase her completely from his life from this day forward.

All his previous mistresses, he had to say, hadn’t been the brightest bulbs in the tanning bed. They obeyed him, was there when he wanted, and stepped aside. The moment any of them showed the slightest amount of jealousy, he’d ended their arrangement. It was best that way. No other woman would get her hooks into him and his wallet.

He hadn’t found a woman who could keep his interest longer than three months ever since the day Sharron had left. He was fine with that.

Rafe and Ari have a lot of emotion and physical upheaval. I wanted to like Rafe but, there were so many time he was so cold to Ari. I got it. He had been hurt. I loved Ari though, and it was hard to forgive that. Ari, she was in her learning stage of life. She was trying to figure herself, her future, and Rafe out all during the same time.
I loved the way the story kept evolving and including other people, and their hopes, dreams, and goals.
The Surrender collection isn't all light and fluffy but, it is ever changing!

This is a good series that starts with just one couple but ends up being about 3 couples. It definitely had some good steamy scenes. I feel there could have been a little more balance if the goal was to showcase three couples. It was also somewhat predictable. However, it is a solid romance read and well worth it.

These women in this story just wanted to smack them. The men were great. Four books it took to tell this story when each couple could have had their own. It was a good book a little rushed at the end but good.
