Following the great success of 2015's Gothic & Fantasy deluxe edition short story compilations, this latest in the series is packed with detectives, mystery and murder. Whodunnits and mysteries from classic authors are cast with previously unpublished stories by exciting budding contemporary crime writers.

It was a pretty good collection, with a pretty good selection of stories. As with any collection there were a few I didn't like so much, but on the whole thought the tales were well selected. There were a few typos in the edition (which always annoys me more than it should). I don't read a lot of crime fiction (it's not my favourite genre), but this set of short stories reminded me why it's so popular, and how much variety there can be within it.
