I've read this series several times. It is a story of two different worlds coming together then finding out they weren't so different after all. Malachi is Irin. A race of people with unusual abilities. Ava is human. They meet on the streets of Istanbul. This epic story takes us through Europe all the way to the wilds of Norway. Every scene takes us into it. Ms. Hunter sets the mood beautifully throughout her book. She tells the history of the Irin people and why they hunt the Fallen with such dedication. We learn the backstory of Ava. She is a photographer that travels the world. Her photos are insightful and impactful. Get these books and take the journey. It's a great ride!
I’m giving this series a solid 4 stars, mostly because I still find myself thinking about the first book—even well after finishing it. I’m not usually a rereader, but every time I see an ad or post about it on social media, I seriously consider picking it up again.
The world-building, emotional depth, and mythology in the early books really drew me in. It had that perfect mix of romance, magic, and mystery that sticks with you. While the rest of the series was enjoyable too, it’s that first book that really left an impression. Definitely worth reading if you enjoy urban fantasy with a lyrical, romantic twist.
Imagine going through life with circumstances that no one can explain, but then on a work trip your eyes are opened to a world you never knew... and so many answers are found, while still more questions await.
The first 3 books of the Irin Chronicles follow Ava and Malachi. A world of magic and mates, love and sacrifice, life and death. A story of incredible intensity that won't let you put it down.
If you love worlds hidden inside your own, with fantastic descriptions of real world beauty, characters that you'll fall in love with, and found family, then this is the series for you!
I loved the first3 books plus the Christmas novella. I did buy the whole sets so I am still reading. The first 3 books take you through this wide range of emotions where I actually cried in some instances. I felt the emotions pour from the characters. I recommend it to everyone who wants something very different. It’s great series.
This has the first three books in such a wonderful series where Ava discovers the Irin and the enigmatic Malachi. Such a great storyline that flows through all three books that are in this Trilogy.
This is my favorite book series of all time! The complex and captivating fantasy world of angels and demons created here is a unique twist from the norm.
