This book turned out to be as good as its description. The story takes you to a Greek island of sunshine and blue skies. Somewhere I have always longed to visit. I can see it through the eyes of the author. I can smell the salty air. Anyway, the climate and scenery are perfect. However, beneath this paradise lies an evil that Eleanna must uncover. She wants vengeance for her family. With her martial arts training, she is determined to find answers. But she soon learns that she must share ownership of the inherited resort with a foreigner, Stephanos. He is also trained and deadly. She faces multiple dangers from an assassin, a mysterious man, and from losing her heart to Stephanos. I enjoyed the mystery, suspense, and romance. Fun for all.
Loved that this book kept me reading way past my bedtime, and I fell in love with Stephanos, a hunk of a leading man. I especially enjoyed reading about the Greek Isles, and since I love a mystery that keeps me guessing, my cup runneth over (I use the expression to commemorate one of the songs where this idiom was used: “Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel.” By Tavares. Of course, Heaven is. She’s down here writing books.)
Angel Sefer does a superb job of laying the groundwork for a fast-paced, intriguing mystery where Eleanna Welsh, tangled in an incredible web of danger since birth, sets out to discover the reason or the person responsible for her father’s death. This is where she meets up with Stephanos Ioannou, on the beautiful isle of Skopelos.
Eleanna has been training all her life in martial arts, preparing for the inevitable voyage from London England to the Greek Isles to search for her father and understand the reason behind her mother’s secrets—the ones she bestowed to her on her death bed.
Armed with courage and stubborn pride, Eleanna plans to exact revenge on the people who destroyed her family. Of course, she trusts no one in Greece, a country her family had to leave in a hurry. Only, she hadn’t counted on the likes of a man called Stephanos. Each turn she takes, each twist of the plot will have you chewing the inside of your lip, hoping no harm will come to her while she tries to unmuddle the lethal Web of Passion that holds her prisoner.
Great read, on to the next. Luckily there are four more books by the same author.
You can also read about the author Angel Sefer and understand why her books are so vivid and passionately written.
Lethal Web of Passion is a brilliant blend of mystery and passion, full of action, suspense, and deceit. It’s the story of beautiful legal assistant Eleanna Welsh who inherits a 50 percent share of a luxury resort on the Greek island of Skopelos. The other 50 percent belongs to sexy, irresistible, and mysterious, Stephanos Ioannou. When Stephanos finds out the real reason Eleanna is there, things get dangerously complicated. However, Eleanna is not just another pretty face: she’s smart, quick on her feet, and a martial arts expert—a worthy opponent of ex-Special Forces and kickboxing champion, Stephanos. I highly recommend this intriguing read that would satisfy every avid reader of mystery romance.
I have read every single one of Angel Sefer's Greek Isles series books and loved every single one of them. They can definitely be read as stand alone. And yes--I am eagerly awaiting the 6th book in this series!!!
Mystery, romance, murder and heart ache can all be found in the Lethal Web of Passion. The author has a way of describing the island and the surrounding area which will truly make you feel as if you are there--Her characters are also described in a way that you feel you know them.
I just can not say enough about this series-I don't have the words. Thank you Angel Sefer for taking me on journeys that I can see and feel although I have never been there. Lethal Web of Passion
Although I started reading this author in the middle of a series, it didn't actually matter [won't be the first or last time I do that with an author] as the story stands alone anyway. I will be watching out for other titles by this author though as I enjoyed this book very much. It is a romance/drama/murder mystery that kept me gripped and reading throughout. But best of all it is set in Greece [as are the others in the series] on Skopelos [where I have just been this year] and Corfu [a previous favourite]. I love stories set in Greece, they seem to transport me back to places I love, and this book was no exception.
Lethal Web of Passion is another intriguing mystery romance in The Greek Isles Series. I love how mystery, passion, action, and suspense mingle in each book of this so popular series. And, of course, I love the descriptions of the amazing Greek Islands. In this book, Eleanna Welsh and Stephanos Ioannou make an unbeatable couple who fights to uncover long-buried secrets while keeping their heated attraction under control. Don’t miss this one. It’s a winner!
This is the second book that I’ve read in this Greek Isles series and I loved it as much as the first one. Eleanna our heroine is not only smart and beautiful she is a martial arts expert equipping her to handle the adventurous leap into revenge as she travels from London to Skopelos. As with the first book I loved not only the romantic suspense story but also all the great Greek descriptions and air of atmosphere that Sefer draws into her writing. I want to go on holiday now! Easy to read and a quick pace with interesting plot make this book a good choice.
Lethal Web Of Passion is a story of mystery, romance and murder. Eleanna Welsh inherits 50 percent of a luxury resort on the Greek island of Skopelos. The other 50 percent belongs to handsome and mysterious Stephanos Ioannou. Eleanna is not just another pretty face, she’s quick on her feet and a martial arts expert. This is the first book in Angel Sefer's Greek Isles series that I’ve read and I’m looking forward to the next. An enjoyable read.
This has a great plot. It’s complicated, but the author manages to make it work without it becoming confusing. It keeps you guessing, making you want to keep reading. Everything is eventually explained, so you are not left guessing. Overall, it’s an enjoyable read.
Intrigue and mystery abound. This well written suspenseful romance kept me on the edge of my seat and turning pages! Set in beautiful and mysterious Greece, this story delivers! I definitely highly recommended.
