Let's just get one thing straight. I LOVE me some Military reads and this one doesn't disappoint. Although this took a little bit for me to get in to, once I did, it flowed so easily that it was hard to put down.

Diego is a badass. No, really. He's come from the streets, turning his life around to become a better person. If not for the SEALs, he most likely would have ended up like his pops. In fact, he's so amazing that he's rising to the top of the rankings pretty fast. But when a mission goes very wrong, he's after some answers. And he's willing do whatever it takes to get them.

Harper is stunningly beautiful. But she's got a lot on her plate to deal with. She's raising a son on her own and trying to bounce back from a relationship not worthy of mentioning. So when a handsome man moves in next door, having the feelings she's having shouldn't even be an option, right? But he's so hard to ignore.

Remember in the beginning of this review I mentioned that it took a little bit for me to get in to? I wasn't really sure where this was going to go and had already convinced myself it was heading in a certain direction. But then BAM! Nope, totally took a twist and turn and left me with my mouth open and turning the pages to figure out wth was going to happen next. Don't do what I did. Just enjoy the beginning for what it is, character building. The plot was so cleverly put together with multiple characters involved that I'm really intrigued to see where the rest of this series goes. Totally fell in love with Diego's buddies.

Side note - I have to admit that I wasn't a huge fan of these two as a couple. I felt like they didn't really have much in common except for the amazing chemistry, and we're treated to some really nice scenes if you know what I mean. But I will say this. The relationship that Diego has with the boy is precious. Love that boy.

*I received this book from the Jeep Diva in exchange for my honest opinion.

Tawny Weber never fails to deliver! CALL TO HONOR is an engaging page-turner filled with sizzling chemistry, emotion, humor and suspense that will leave a reader wanting more. I know that because all I wanted wanted when I finished reading this book was to get my hands on the next one but since that's not possible,I settled for re-reading her back-list to tide me over until then.

Lieutenant Diego Torres lives and breathes the SEAL code of honor and brotherhood and when a mission he leads goes south and the future of the entire team is on the line, Diego is determined to get to the truth about what happened on the mission. All roads lead to Harper Maclean and while Diego is more comfortable on the streets, he'll brave suburbia for his men.

Harper Maclean has spent the last eight years building a solid life for herself and her son after being abandoned by his father as a pregnant teen. She definitely has no time for a man or relationships except professional ones, but her hot new neighbor is irresistible temptation and Harper may just indulge herself this one time since he will be gone soon.

I feel like gushing about this book because I loved it so much. Ms. Weber knows how to capture a reader's attention and keep it. There is no part of this story that was lacking or overdone in any way. The chemistry between Diego and Harper was scorching hot, steaming up the pages of the book and it was so cute watching them tumble head over heels for each other while trying to convince themselves it was just sex. The relationship between Harper and her son was so adorable and the way he latched on to Diego was so endearing. Beyond that, I loved Diego's dedication to his SEAL brothers and his love for his job. There is nothing like a capable, take charge man to get a woman revved up both in the bedroom and outside it.

Harper was a really good mom and her love for her son was undeniable. She was tough, talented and hardworking, had overcome many obstacles to get to where she was and she was willing to do her best for her child.

It's quite creepy to find out the obsession that Harper was unaware of and I'm not going to lie, I give a minute to wondering if I shouldn't beef up my own personal security:) Diego's investigation turns up a betrayal of the brotherhood and country and there are more questions than answers at this moment, but I can't wait for the next book in the series to find out more. There is a long list of SEALs that I hope get a happy ending and I'm looking forward to their stories.

This is the first in a new series and I really enjoyed this highly entertaining mix of a SEAL investigation into a mission that went wrong and the ensuing romance - in fact, potential romances! The mission had been led by Lieutenant Diego Torres and he's determined to discover what happened, why and to clear the Poseidon team's name. If that involves him being undercover in a smart neighbourhood to keep an eye on his neighbour, he'll do it for the team. When that neighbour turns out to be interior designer, Harper Maclean, and he discovers she is a very attractive single mom who prefers not to discuss her past or the father of her child, things are definitely going to get interesting! Harper's son, Nathan, proves to be the catalyst in many encounters and events but I'm going to stop there as I don't want to give away any spoilers!

This is a real page turner. It has great characters together with an intriguing plot which involves hot SEALs, a feisty Mum, traitors to be discovered, a kidnapping, friends and team mates to rely on and a delightful young man, too! I will certainly be looking out for the next book in this series and other books by this author in future. The ARC I was gifted had a bonus novella included which focusses on another member of Poseidon, SEALs don't like publicity but the Poseidon team have been ordered to have a representative talk to a journalist. Aaron, aka Bulldog, who literally draws the short straw and ends up meeting with journalist Bryanna Radisson. He will follow orders and meet her but he's determined to be reticent about what he shares . . . Will that all change when they meet? You'll have to read it yourself to find out.

Very good book that had me hooked from the beginning. It opens with the SEAL team in their downtime, their natural competitiveness at the forefront of their interactions. I liked Diego right away. He lives for his work as a SEAL, determined to be the best. He doesn't seek the limelight or see himself as a hero. His early years were rough, but he pulled himself out of it. There are indications that he has a temper, but he also controls it. Other SEALs are introduced at the same time. Lansky, Diego's best friend, who is also known as MacGyver. He's a bit more volatile, also makes up his mind quickly about people and is reluctant to be convinced otherwise. Then there is Ramsey, a new arrival to the team. He is handsome, arrogant, and believes that he is the best of them all. He doesn't take well to losing at anything. He rubbed me the wrong way from the start, with his comments about his ex and his son. There was something about him that came across as creepy. He is also very jealous of Diego's place on the team and his reputation. When the next mission goes wrong, Ramsey is missing and presumed dead - until critical information finds its way to the enemy and the team comes under investigation. Their commander doesn't trust the CIA and NI investigators, so he sends Diego and Lansky to investigate the one person most likely to know anything - Ramsey's ex, Harper.

Harper is a single mother, doing her best to raise her son alone. She fell for the slick Ramsey when she was only seventeen. When she discovered she was pregnant, he told her to get rid of the baby or his parents would take it from her. Then he walked out, and she never saw him again. Harper grew up in a bad part of town and was determined to make a better life for her son. Through sacrifice and hard work, she is now a respected and in-demand interior designer. Nathan is also the only male in her life. She has dated a little bit, but no one has been able to break through her mistrust. Her friend Andi is determined to get Harper to start living again.

I enjoyed seeing the relationship build between Diego and Harper. There is no question about the chemistry between these two; it sparks every time they are together. Diego tries very hard to keep his mind on business, his instructions are to observe and investigate, but not to engage. However, there is something about her that he can't resist. He feels somewhat guilty about using the attraction to get closer, especially once he realizes that there is no way that she is involved in her ex's activities. Harper tries to resist the attraction until she decides that she's let her past affect her life long enough. She knows Diego won't be around long and that makes him perfect for a quick fling. She's no more interested in a long term relationship than he is. It was fun seeing them get to know each other. Diego is so out of his element in "suburbia" but is slowly drawn in by both Harper and Nathan. I loved seeing Diego with Nathan. They connected so quickly, and it was awesome to see Diego fall so hard for the little boy. That connection is one of the things that drew Harper to Diego, other than the intense attraction. I loved seeing Harper decide to go after Diego, fighting through her nervousness. There was no doubt that their physical relationship was explosive, and it didn't take long for each of them to realize that they wanted more. But Diego is still hiding the real reason he is there, and that secret comes out in the worst possible way. I ached for Harper and her feelings of betrayal that just piled up on her fears for Nathan's safety. She didn't want to trust Diego, but she knew deep down that he was the one who could get Nathan back. I ached for Diego, too, because he hated that he had hurt Harper. I loved his determination and seeing his take charge attitude. He was also sensitive to Harper's feelings and found ways to help her deal with what was going on. There's a great scene where they end up facing part of Harper's past, and he doesn't react the way she expects. Both of them have to overcome their pasts before they can believe in a future together. I loved their big moment at the end as they each take a risk on expressing their feelings.

The suspense of the story was just as compelling as the romance. The thought that they were betrayed by one of their own motivates Diego and Lansky to get to the truth. I loved how their commander paired the two up; Diego with his reluctance to believe that it is possible, and Lansky with his absolute conviction that Ramsey, and possibly Harper, are guilty as sin. The conversations between these two give both sides of an extremely volatile situation. It was fascinating to see them work to discover the truth. There were also questions raised by the box Harper received, that the men knew nothing about. It revealed a possible second player in the game, adding to the intensity. Each new piece of information helped put the puzzle together, and Nathan's kidnapping created an undeniable urgency. I loved seeing the members of the team come together to find him. The buildup to the final confrontation was intense. I loved Diego's determination and initiative. There was an interesting twist that I did not expect and left a few questions unanswered. I can't wait for the next book.

REVIEW: 4.25 stars--CALL TO HONOR is the first installment in Tawny Weber’s contemporary, adult SEAL BROTHERHOOD military, romantic suspense series focusing on a Special Ops SEAL Team known as Poseidon. This is Lieutenant Diego Torres (aka El Gato), and interior designer/ single mother Harper Maclean’s story line.

Told from several third person perspectives including Diego and Harper CALL TO HONOR focuses on the Poseidon Team member’s search for the truth. When their latest mission in Afghanistan goes horribly wrong, leaving one member injured and one man missing and presumed dead, the Team comes under suspicion when military secrets are discovered in the hands of the enemy. Enter Diego Torres, the man who has been assigned to ‘watch’ over one of his team member’s ex-lovers-a woman they suspect may be harboring a fugitive or government secrets. What ensues is the building relationship between Diego and Harper; the heartbreak of betrayal; and the Poseidon Team’s determination to prove their innocence when one of their own is the target of the investigation.

Harper Maclean is a single mother, an interior designer and a woman who hasn’t seen her son’s father since the day she announced she was pregnant. Brandon Ramsey walked out of her life, entered the military, and refused to accept any responsibility for Harper’s pregnancy. Fast forward to present day and Harper will learn that her son’s father is missing and presumed killed in an explosion in Afghanistan. Diego Torres has been ordered to go undercover to ferret out information about Harper Maclean but Diego never intended to fall in love with the woman and her son. Diego’s life in the military is not conducive to love or a relationship but that doesn’t stop our hero from seducing the woman that calls to his heart. The $ex scenes are intimate and intense without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to several members of SEAL Team 7 and the Special Ops unit known as Poseidon: Commander Nic Savino, Chief Petty Officer Jared (MacGyver)Lansky, Lieutenant Elijah Prescott, Petty Officer Aaron Ward, and Petty Officer Dane Adams-Brandon Ramsey’s wing man and best friend. Harper’s best friend Andi Stamos is a rich socialite who may or may not have a relationship with Jared Lansky, and Nathan Maclean-Harper’s seven year old son who is wise beyond his years.

The world building looks at the fall out of secrets, lies, betrayal and war; the tight-knit brotherhood of Navy SEAL Team Poseidon, and the search for the truth. CALL TO HONOR does not end on a cliff hanger but the investigation is ongoing as more evidence mounts against a man Team Poseidon once called a brother and a friend.

CALL TO HONOR is a detailed and complex story of romance and suspense. The premise is intelligent, entertaining and creative; the characters are passionate, spirited and intense; the romance is captivating and sensual. Tawny Weber’s CALL TO HONOR is an exciting and tangible start to her SEAL BROTHERHOOD military, romantic suspense series.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book via Netgalley.

A mission goes wrong for the Poseidon SEAL team and one of their own is lost. The team then come under investigation for treason. Diego is sent to watch and learn about Harper, ex-girlfriend to the missing man. To see if she holds the secrets of the missing man and the treason charge. Harper has but ONE secret: that of her son, Nathan. And when he goes missing from camp, the full force of the team that is Poseidon land in Harper's house.

You know how I hate not being able to word what I want to say? This book, right here. All I'm left with is nice. And NICE really isn't the right word but for the life of me, I can't find that bloody word!!

It's well written, from both Diego and Harper's point of view. Nathan also gets a little bit of a voice, and I loved that. Brave little man, that Nathan. It's sexy in places and it's deadly in others.

While Diego, Harper and Nathan get their happy ever after, the treason story line and that of the missing man is left unfinished. It lays the way for another team member's story, but that doesn't come next. Kinda knocked me for a loop, that one!

I loved how Diego discovered things as suspicious, and on the surface, they really could have been, but they were written away in a highly believable way. Someone trying to keep a secret takes things a little too far! I loved Andi, Harper's best friend, and the part she plays keeping Harper grounded.

Will I read future books in this series?? I hope to get the chance. I like the way Weber spins her tales, how she intertwines everyone and everything.

I wrote 4 stars at the top of the page (why yes, I do actually write them on paper before typing them up!) and I am gonna stick to it. Had I been able to find the right bloody word, another word other than NICE, I might have upgraded it but since I can't find the word....

4 solid stars

Call to Honor is a solid read, detailing the story of Harper, Nathan, and Diego. Harper and Nathan are mother and son, Diego is the Navy SEAL/Poseidon trying to clear his team's (and his own) name. Sent to watch a team member's ex-girlfriend and mother of his son, Diego gets more than he bargained for with Harper and Nathan. Harper has pulled herself up by her bootstraps, and made a good life for herself and her son. Nathan is a total dude, brave, fearless, and opinionated about heroes, which I quite agree with.

Call to Honor is a long story which delves into treason, betrayal, Cayman Island bank accounts, plus much more. Both funny and hot, it also has plenty of action. The main characters' story is mostly told, with a HFN ending. There are plenty of others to choose from for the rest of the series, although it is Prescott's turn next.

Well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, this was an enjoyable story. It just seemed so long, and I don't know why. I can't think of any gaps where nothing happened, but it just seemed to last for a long time. So, for that reason, definitely recommended if you want a Summer beach read to last a fortnight!

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *

Call to Honor is the first in a new series by Tawny Weber featuring the Poseidon Team...an elite division of navy SEALs. In Call to Honor Harper is a single mother with a hurtful history with an ex who has never been involved with their son. Threats he made have made her fearful, and she trusts few people. When her ex is missing and presumed KIA, some parts of the navy have questions, others place blame. Diego is part of Poseidon and due to these events and suspicion of his team, he is sent to investigate and survey Harper...just in case the ex shows up. Because no one on either side knows the full story.

Diego lives for his work and his team, and the attraction he feels for Harper is unexpected and strong. As they become closer, the sparks are flying. But secrets can't stay hidden, and as the plot thickens sooner or later they come out. Call to Honor has an intriguing plot filled with possibilities and strong characters. I don't know if it was always realistic, but it felt real as I read it. Harper is strong and very protective of her son. She doesn't talk about a lot of her past, and Diego wonders what she could be hiding. Harper has no idea what Diego is hiding, or that he is even hiding anything. Diego is all alpha with so many good qualities under his tough exterior, and I liked how he was with Harper and her son, even if I didn't like what he was hiding. I was very interested in how this relationship would play out, and I liked how Tawny Weber wrote it. Diego and Harper are different in many ways, but they really connected under that cloak of secrecy...could it last when the truth came out?

I liked the mystery and suspense of this plot as much as the romance, they really flowed and fit well together. Tawny Weber left enough threads dangling for the next story in this series, but not too many so I felt satisfied with the conclusion.

I will read the next book in this series and would recommend Call to Honor to any romantic suspense reader.

This book comes with a bonus story at the end. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that the bonus was a prequel to the first story. Although the book does have a happy ending, there is also a bit of a question mark remaining about one of the characters in the book.

There is nothing more that I like then reading a good book, with adventure and romance, and its even better when it Involves Navy Seals.
"No man left behind" is inscribed in the DNA of every SEAL and Lieutenant Diego Torres is no exception. Sorry if I borrowed some of what is in the book, but no secret has been revealed. During a mission when things go wrong, one dead and one missing Diego and some of his teammates have to find out what went wrong, and Diego believes there is a traitor among them.
Harper Maclean has two things on her mind, raising her son and starting a new life, but things are not that easy for the single mom, and as Diego her new neighbor ask questions about her past, she fears that she might just answer them thus placing themselves in danger. If you want to find out what happens and if you love Alpha males then by all means read it, its a good story well writen.

Brand new SEAL military romance series with hot hunky men dealing with perilous situations and finding love interests that fit them well. These men are brothers not related by birth but committed to their country and one another. Great beginning - can’t wait for book two!

Diego Torres has worked his way up in the Navy to become a SEAL lieutenant leading men to achieve what common men cannot. He is honor bound to his country and team having found as an adult what he was missing as a child. In this book he is sent to keep an eye on Harper Maclean and her son. He finds the time spent watching her difficult as he is a man of action and not one to sit idly watching. As he lives next door and watches he meets first Nathan and then his mother, Harper. They begin to get acquainted and with one thing leading to another Harper and Diego end up horizontal before long. With Diego’s mission focused on finding out which team member treasonously compromised their last mission and whether or not that person might is dead or alive Diego watches and questions and searches to find out all he can from Harper and Nathan BUT in so doing he grows closer to them than he thought he would.

Harper is a hoot. She is a successful interior designer, great friend to Andi, wonderful mother to Nathan, able to see what she has come from and where she wants to end up. She has focused her efforts on providing for Nathan and remaking herself and to achieve what she set out to has put her personal life on the back burner for years. Well, that changes when Diego moves in next door.

I liked the introduction to the team, the setup for future stories, the character development and the feeling that Poseidon Team is one that is close-knit and dedicated to one another and the mission. Diego was a wonderful book boyfriend and Harper his equal in so many ways. The dilemma they faced, the trust issues that arose, the interactions with one another and with others…all were spot on and wonderful to read. And, with that said, I am more than eager to read the next book in the series as soon as it comes out.

Thank you to the author for the ARC. This is my honest review.

I never miss a Tawny Weber book for a reason they are fabulous and always have me smiling and woohoo this is the first book in a new series and what a start it is these are longer than her Blaze’s so they are more in-depth and we get even more on the hero and heroine my recommendation get yourself comfortable and sit back and enjoy.

Harper MacLean is a single mum and her top priority is her seven year old son Nathan he means the world to her and starting a new life that will give them both the best and having a man in her life after what Nathan’s father did to her is not on her list she has been doing well without, but when a letter and parcel arrive with news about Nathan’s father and there is suddenly a new neighbour a gorgeous neighbour it looks like Harper’s life is going to be turned upside down.

Diego Torres is a SEAL a very good one at that the navy is his life after the life he had growing up he has made something of himself and the Poseidon team are his family so when a mission goes horribly wrong and there are questions left unanswered Diego or El Gato as he is known to the team goes on a recon mission and wow what a mission to learn and then protect Harper and her son, falling for Harper was not part of the mission.

This is such a passionate moving and just all round awesome story it has everything a romance needs to tick all of the boxes a hot steamy and sensual romance between two people who really are just the best both have been through so much and have come through so well I loved Harper she is sassy and feisty she stands up to Diego seduces him so well and he is such a man of honour gorgeous and caring and I fell for him and there is action aplenty and loved getting to know the other SEALs who will have their own story. Do yourself a favour and don’t miss this one I highly recommend it.

Secrets and intrigue, a little boy who is doing just fine with his momma and no need for a daddy. Then there is this new neighbor and news that will rock all of their worlds.

Harper Mclean was a good mom. She may not have been prepared for any of this, but she knew she was a good mom with a good son and she would overcome. That didn’t mean that there were times when she was scared, when she wasn’t sure. Then there was that whole dating thing. It’s not that she missed it but when her new neighbor moved in all of a sudden her body came alive again and now she was missing a whole lot of things.

Diego Torres was a man of honor. He may have grown up on the streets and done things that he shouldn’t of, but now he was a SEAL an elite. The problem was in his view if you were one of the elite you didn’t do certain things. So he wasn’t ready to hear that one of their own may have gone bad.

When Harper and Diego meet there was instant attraction, but what neither of them expected was how deep it would go. That is until secrets started to unravel, then all bets were off, what would be the result?

This is one of the best novels in a long while. Ms. Weber has begun her new series with an amazing bang. The story’s plot is thicker and more intense than most “romance” novels but it is so encompassing you won’t want to put it down. The players are so well created they could hop out and be in your living room, even the secondary players. This is an amazing story you need to go get immediately and then pray that Ms. Weber completes the second one quickly!

I'm a long time fan of Tawny Weber's books and her sexy SEALs. This was more in depth than some of her other books and I was glued to the screen as I read the whole story. Who needs sleep with a book like this?

Loyal, patriots, hot guys, few women can resist. These guys know it too. This team, POSIDEN, is full of guys who fit that bill, however, each is unique in his own way. Diego Torres, team leader, feels the weight of a mission that injured one of his team and another didn't come back. There wasn't enough of him to find. Rule one, no one left behind, was broken. He bears the blame, at least in his own mind. There is more and it puts every team member's loyalty in question.

While the team is waiting to be cleared, Diego is ordered to do surveillance of the lost team member's ex-wife and mother of his son. Is it possible the man wasn't dead? Was she involved with his escape and crime? While doing the one thing he didn't think he'd ever be called on as a SEAL, he falls first for the little boy and then his mom. Not that he is willing to admit it.

The building relationship is touching in so many ways. There is plenty of steam. Let's just say there is part of his duty none of them are complaining about. This book touches on every good part of reading, great characters, romance, mystery, danger, charm, sexy guy banter, strong women, and alpha males.

Book one of this new series is a winner. I have only one problem. Where is the next one?
This is my honest review of this advance reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.

Diego is part of a Navy SEAL team that lives and breathes the code of honor. When a mission goes wrong all of their careers and reputations are on the line. When a SEAL wants answers he does what he needs to do to get them. However, this one has a very pretty face and a body that has his on alert.

Harper Maclean is a single mother trying to make a living and forget her past. When she ended up pregnant at a young age she was forced to get an abortion. When she decided to have the baby she created a new life away from her past. Her best friend keeps trying to get her to date and Harper just blows it off. But when a hot new neighbor moves in next door and her son is going away for camp she might just get to explore her options.

Diego is living the suburban lifestyle to get close to a woman that is the ex of one of SEAL members that they believe died in a mission or has betrayed them. The only way that Diego can find out the truth is to get close to Harper and figure out if she knows anything. Once he hears her story he knows deep down that she is an innocent that could just be in danger.

This is a good story. The chemistry is pretty hot between Harper and Diego. However, when she finds out the truth about Diego and feels used she doesn’t take that lightly. Nor the fact that her ex has known where she is all along.

Call to Honor is a page turner, I admit it took a few chapters to really get into but once it did it didn't disappoint!
Diego's team is being investigated due to how their last mission went down. He and his team set out to prove their innocence and find the truth about what went wrong and that puts him in charge of keeping an eye on the sexy Harper and her son.
Harper is a great mom. She's come up from nothing and made a life for herself and her son, no thanks to the sperm donor who walked away when the test popped positive. With the help of her best friend Andi she and Nathan have a great life even if he doesn't have a male influence in his life.
She doesn't date and hasn't touched a man since Nathan's dad so she's fairly shocked at her response to her new neighbor.
Before long she can't deny the attraction and puts the moves on Diego.
Priding himself in always being professional in his job he doesn't expect to have a shot an jumping in Harper's bed no matter how bad he'd like to, until with a bottle of wine and a little courage Harper lets him know what she wants an there's only so much self control a man can have!

They have an agreement, a time frame on their time together but all their plans are shot when the past rears it's ugly head and threatens Harper's way of life.

Truth's come out, fear takes over and what once held promise turns to anger and distrust.
When the dust settles who will be left standing?
Great read, 4 stars.

I'm a sucker for a SEAL romantic suspense and since I've never read a Tawny Weber book before, I thought, 'hey, why not?' I think I actually enjoyed the suspense more than the romance in this one. There's no denying that Diego and Harper had insane chemistry, but the plot twists and investigation into whether or not a team member was actually dead or committing treason was much more interesting. Maybe it's because Diego had to deceive Harper in the beginning in order to investigate her and her connection with her ex. I don't know, but I just wasn't feeling the deception for most of the book. I did love Diego's connection with little Nathan. That 7 year old boy had more guts than I would have in his situation. And the love that Diego obviously had for him was so adorable.

If I had one complaint, it's that I didn't feel as though the book was complete. We're left with a HFN when Diego and Harper decide to give a relationship a go, but that's pretty much it. We don't see how they make that happen (even if it's just a few days after all the drama, it would have been nice to have). I wanted to see what Nathan thought of their relationship and just get a a little glimpse into the future. I know the story isn't over with the teammate issue, so maybe that's why we're left hanging.

Harper has had a lot on her plate. She was left pregnant and alone by her rich boy boyfriend, but not before he promised to take their son from her if his parents found out about him. Fast forward a few years and she is making a name for herself as an interior designer. But when she receives a parcel from the Navy, her well put together life begins to unravel.

Diego Torres barely made it out alive from his last mission. But when suspicion lands on his team that secrets have been leaked, they know who is the likely suspect...just a pity he is supposedly dead! When they learn he had a child, Diego is set to recon the ex and his son in case he reaches out to them. He never expected to find a cute as a button Nathan and his sexy mother, Harper! It's clear Ramsey lied about his past with Harper but can he enlist her help in bringing Ramsey to justice?

Diego and Harper will steam up your ereader! They are hot enough to melt metal! Diego is just the right balance of alpha male, possessive without being a total a$$! Harper is vulnerable and strong at the same time and little Nathan will make you smile. Totally worth a few hours time to spend in the SEAL world!

Call to Honor went in a direction I didn't expect, but OMG did I enjoy every minute of it!

Diego and Harper are absolutely fantastic together, and when you throw in Harper's seven-year-old son Nathan? Pure magic. Seriously. I loved these three with an intensity that shouldn't be possible in a 300+ page book, but there you have it. They have to show up in later series books, because I am not at all ready to say goodbye to them!

There's a secondary thing going on between Harper's BFF Andi and Diego's teammate Jared here that has to get its own book (sadly, it's not book two, Call to Engage ; I'm holding out hope for #3 in the series) and the entire situation that Diego's team was trying to resolve in this book isn't finalized either--as if I needed more reasons to be first in line for the rest of the books in this series. Can't wait!

Rating: 4 stars / A-

Call to Honor is an honor to read!

Tawny Weber's Call to Honor will bring you to your knees with its powerful story of loyalty, brotherhood, deceit, revenge, mistrust and one of the best love stories I have read. Harper and Diego are a couple defined by their past and upbringing and their chemistry is off the charts. They have moved mountains to forget where they come from and in the end realize that their strengths come from their lowly beginnings.

Character development and storyline are amazingly concise. You know these people and you want to finish this story the minute the first page grabs your attention. Secondary characters are important to lead credence and value to the story. The HEA for Harper and Diego is so justified and makes you want to read the book all over again. What a marvelously written story..she checks off all the boxes on what reader wants in a book and goes way beyond. Great job!

I received an advanced copy of Call to Honor in exchange for a review. I have read several other books by Tawny Weber and I have enjoyed them. Call to Honor was worth the time to read. There were hot alpha males, danger, and steam. There was also a SEAL and a SWCC who were not the honorable men you would expect them to be. The reminder that being a special operator does not always make a man a good person kept the story from being too sweet. While I am sure a SEAL would find mistakes in the story, it was clear that Weber has done her homework in researching her subject. Once again, she allowed the story to have depth by focusing on just a few characters. She didn't overload a short novel with a huge cast and too much action. She also gave us a tantalizing set up for a future installment. Those characters are not slated to have a book yet, but one can hope they will soon.

This is the first book of a series featuring Poseidon, a group of elite SEAL's. This book primarily takes place after a failed mission in which one of their team members died. Diego Torres led the team when they were forced to leave one of their own behind. When questions arise about the mission and some leaked data, Diego is forced to go undercover to find out if one of his own team is dirty or if he himself will be implicated in the scandal. Diego's undercover mission centers around Harper who just happens to be the ex-girlfriend of the deceased SEAL.
Not only has Tawny Weber written a great military romance, she has also created a great cast of secondary characters. All of which will be perfect candidates for their own book as this series continues. And I for one want to read more of this series!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

Call To Honor by Tawny Weber is another entertaining read from an author that consistently delivers books that are well-written and engaging. Diego and Harper's story is loaded with suspense, drama, humor and sizzle. This book will keep readers attention firmly on their Kindles from start to finish. I enjoyed reading Call To Honor and look forward to my next Tawny Weber book. Call To Honor is book 1 of the Team Poseidon Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Four-plus stars. It's got everything I love in my military romance - intense hero, plucky heroine, rich backstory, hot sexytimes, fast action with added bonus of a precocious little boy and strong friendships. I just deducted a point for the perfection of the hero and heroine and cartoonish evilness of the villain. I want to see flaws in the protagonists and some redeeming qualities in the antagonists.

The Poseidon team are hard-bodied, fiercely competitive navy Seals. But when a sensitive mission goes disastrously wrong, three of the team's finest will have to trust their hearts and instincts to uncover the truth...
Great book. Just enough suspense and action to be interesting and keep my intrust to want to finish the book.

It was an okay read- but I had no problem putting it down. I felt like a lot of information was skipped over, almost as if it would draw the story on too long; however, I felt that’d decision made it harder to follow.
I will likely read the next book in the series to see if it fills in any of the gaps...

This is my 1st, but not my last, book by this author. A real pleasure to read such a well crafted, solid military romance. I read it with a sense of dread knowing the heartbreaking betrayal to come. 3 stars because Harper kissed Diego after knowing how he betrayed her. Also, a bit slow in the midle.
