medium: script
Genre of setting:Non-fiction/fiction
Genre of style: ideealism
Critism: this sensational scenes for teens is the second book to sensational scenes for kids. This book will be loved by kids who are just entering the teenage world. It deals with all kinds of things that teens deal with everyday so when you read this book you'll stay on top of your game. I liked reading this book because it had a lot of things I could relate to. When I read sensational scenes for teens, It reminded me of when I was at my old school and there was a lot of drama fimiliar to the drama in this script. I thought that this script for teens covered all topics about the life of teens. It talks about boys, girls, friends, enemies, after school, hanging out, and a lot of other stuff that would facinate everyone just like it facinated me.

We loved this book! It is more of the greatness we've come to expect from Chambers Stevens books! It was a battle before we found his books to find quality monologues that my daughter wasn't embarrassed to use for auditions or practice. He has found a way to keep teens engaged and gives them what they need to work toward success. The scenes range from comedic to dramatic. I would buy it again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to practice toward perfection. This is very well priced and very much worth it.

This book , along with all of Chambers's other books, has become like a bible for acting to me. Its hard to find good scenes to work on to prepare for auditions or just to help you grow as a young actor but this book is full of them. Would I lend this book to a friend ? No , for fear of never getting it back!!!! Haha. I would strongly recommend that my friends , or anyone else I meet who is in need of some seriously good scenes to work on pick up this book or any of Chambers's books immediately!

I recommend this book as well as any of the other books that Chamber Stevens has written to assist young actors in honing their craft. My son Taylor Luke has been reading, memorizing and performing monologues from these books for 4 1/2 years. He continues to revisit the books as needed for audition prep as well as practice. Taylor has received many roles in independent Texas films over the last 3 years and I truly believe the books have helped my son grow in his profession.

As a mom of three aspiring boy actors, it can be very hard to find age appropriate material to assist your young actor with scene preparation. By reading the scenes in Chambers' books, you can tell that he doesn't just write books for a removed location. He's on the ground working with young actors daily, seeing what works and what doesn't, what inspires, and what challenges. He's taken his years of experience and condensed it down to a format that is a must have for every aspiring actor!!

There aren't very many scene books out there for teenagers and I think this is probably one of the best ones. The scenes are all different ranges, from funny to serious.

Although my personal experience with Chambers was working with my younger daughter, I did have the chance to observe him working with teens as well. Again, I must say he is amazing at what he does. He knows the business and he knows how to work with young actors. These books are great tools and I highly recommend them to anyone interested in acting.

Chambers is a very talented writer and in this book, you can gain a good variety of different characters and scenarios to play for young actors. It's all what an actor brings to what they see on paper and Chambers definitely sets the stage for a great performance!
