Welcome to Charmed in Vegas! Come gamble with magic and bet on love in this fun new series presented by USA Today and NY Times bestselling author Michelle Fox.
Sherriff’s deputy and naiad Naya Krena wakes with no memory of the previous night. Worse, judging by receipts in her pocket, she appears to have gotten married. On top of that, she’s lost the prisoner she was supposed to deliver to Vegas detective and bear shifter Brick Hardiman.
Hardiman’s got a big secret—Naya’s his fated mate. But his surly, bearish personality makes it hard to tell her. Now that she's lost her memory and gained a husband—who seems to have disappeared along with the prisoner—it might be too late.
Naya Krena was scarred by her parents when she was a teenager by telling her she was a mistake that should have been aborted because of that she doesn't think herself worthy of ever having a mate. thus she throws herself into her work as a Deputy. But there is a Detective in Vegas that gets up her dander and she just won't allow herself to believe it could be anything but his surly behavior towards her. She stays clear of Vegas, but now she must deliver a criminal to said Detective and the fun begins.
Las Vegas Detective Brick Hardiman is a surly bear that can't bring himself to let Deputy Krena know how he really feels about her. Instead of showering her with love words, he acts all rough and tumble around her. Now that she is coming to Vegas, he has to get up the nerve to tell her the truth and convince her that he is not the surly bear she believes him to be. Will he get up the nerve in the midst of the evil magic that lurks in Vegas?
A little bit of magic and supressed desires in Vegas with a great HEA
This is book 6 in the Charmed in Vegas series and so far I think this one is my favorite. Naya is trying to make a career for herself in law enforcement and thinks that Hardiman is trying to get in her way. Hardiman actually has a secret, he is Naya's mate but lacks the courage to tell her this. Naya is trying to bring a prisoner to Vegas and transfer him to Hardiman but runs into a problem along the way and loses both her prisoner and memory overnight. This book had me laughing out loud as they tried to resolved getting both Naya's memory and her prisoner back. They also encounter some magical 'bumps' that bring Hardiman's secret out and help them both realize that they really are right for one another. This story like all the Charmed in Vegas stories has a great HAE and I can't to see if there is another one coming in this series.
Betting on Bear Charmed in Vegas Book 6 by Tabitha Conall, Michelle Fox ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Naiads (mermaids) and Bear Shifters! OMG! I have been so excited and on pins waiting to read this book. This story heats up right from the beginning , it grabs your attention and you will be completely enthralled until the very last word. This is the six book in the Charmed in Vegas series and a new favorite of mine! Both of these ladies write books that are so enjoyable to me and they let my imagination fly away to another world! I adore it! There is absolutely nothing I enjoy more than to read a magnificent book by Tabitha Conall or Michelle Fox but I got two for one in this book. I have never been disappointed when reading a book written by these two ladies. They are writers that has the unique ability to be a great storytellers and I admire their imagination and exceptional skills which are obvious because they are both very popular and continues to shine brightly with each story they writes. This story is sweet, fast-paced, thrilling, imaginative, exciting, passionate, scorching hot and romantic. The dialogue is witty, smart, sexy, well executed and it flows beautifully. Yes, the story is exceptionally well crafted, well written and well edited but it's the characters that will grab your attention and capture your heart. They are not only fascinating, captivating, engaging, endearing and sexy as all get out but also well developed and memorable. Both of these ladies are exceptionally skilled at world building and character development. I have fallen for teasers just to give you a small taste of why I enjoy their books.

“The growl on the other end of the phone could only belong to one person. “Hardiman. What do you want?” “What I want—” he bit off the word, “is for you to tell me your room number so I can come up and get the prisoner.” In a flash, everything came back to her. Well, not everything. But enough so she knew she was up the Styx without a paddle. “We’re just waking up,” she said in a rush. “We’re not ready for you yet. Call back later.” She hung up. She’d hear about that later. No one hung up on Brick Hardiman. Hades, if she listened, she’d probably hear him snarling from the lobby. She and Hardiman were supposed to do a prisoner exchange. She remembered that much. The night before, Naya had driven Sneezy to Vegas and checked into this hotel. Maybe he was in the bathroom. She prayed to every god and goddess she could think of, trying to ignore that the second bed was still neatly made. He had to be in the bathroom. If not, then her career was over. Hardiman had it in for her. If he found out she’d lost a prisoner, he’d bring her down himself.” “I’m in the shower. Have some decency!” She pulled a towel around her. Other than being wet from head to toe, she hadn’t had a chance to wash a thing. Hardiman roared. The door came off its hinges and a moment later he stood in front of her, all six-foot-something of big bear muscle, eyes blazing yellow. His short brown hair stuck straight up as though he’d been pulling at it. “Where is he?” She’d known Hardiman would throw the book at her, but she hadn’t thought he’d throw the door at her too”
I really enjoying reading this series. But of coarse I'm a hopeless romantic and this book will give you all the romance you want and so much more. Now if you don't like paranormal romance be warn this is a lovely HEA. But if you don't like this kind of genre then this won't be the book for you. But I think you will enjoy every word and agree with me that it's worth it. This is a great book to add to your TBR list. I'm so excited about reading the next book in this series. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It needs to be on your must read list.
If you believe in the world of paranormal romance, the possibilities are endless and fascinating!
He needed to make a move and claim her. 5 GOLD CHARMS
How romantic would it be for him to say, ‘I almost ripped that guy apart because you’re my mate. Will you be mine forever?’ Then again, Krena might like that. He could never tell with her. (Excuse my rearranging of lines there Tabitha! wink) BEARS and NAIADS and MATES, OH MY! I'm betting that you have never been charmed quite like this before, whether it be in Vegas or anywhere! This is one BEARTACULAR story! I ABSO-ROARIN'-LUTELY love, Love, LOVE every little FURRY piece of it! There is such a fountain of creativity & magic in here, I don't even know where to begin! hmmmm... Let’s see…. there’s potions, spells, magic, Bears, Naiads, marriage, mates and OH! Don’t forget the MYTHTERY! Since I don't want to spill any magical secrets or potions, I'll just say that I bet Tabitha & Michelle had a BEARY fun time writing this one! I can't even pick one aspect that is my FANGORITE because as soon as I do, I remember another one! I do have to say that I ABSO-FANG-LUTELY loved the Den of Cupid!! Talk about being stuck between a Brick and a hard place! Or should I say, between Brick and HIS *ahem* hard place! I could hardly bear it! My jaw hurt from hanging open in shock / gasping and I couldn't decide whether to laugh hysterically or shriek with glee! (I tried all at the same time and believe me, it wasn’t pretty! LOL) Regardless, that was one FURRY PAWESOME scene! I was grinning & giggling so much throughout this adventure! Part of what makes this one BEARY GRRRRREAT story, is the way it is told. I think that Tabitha must be my doppelganger because so many of the slangs, words, phrases, thoughts etc. in here sound just like me! Which brings me to my next charming point - Tabitha is one FURNOMENALLY talented author! Her magical gift of storytelling had me entranced from the start, laughing & nodding along with Naya, her thoughts & observations, giggling with glee when I realized just who was going to Brick her fountain! Of course, the “relationship” they have had before we met them was anything but friendly, which of course, made this all the more entertaining! “She couldn’t get over the way he was looking at her. Almost like—almost like he liked her.” I am thoroughly enjoying this charming World created by Michelle Fox, made even more FOXTACULAR because of all of her AUTHORTASTIC friends who came to play in her Vegas sand box! This is one FURRIFIC, HOT, BEAR HUG, HIL-ROAR-IOUS SHFTACULAR story!!! No spells, potions or binding charms were used on this reader / reviewer. This is all my own opinion! Although my brain might have melted a little with the sweet as honey & BEARY sexy Brick! wink
Naya Krena is a police officer for Dusty Valley and she has just apprehended a check forger and has to take him to Las Vegas and deliver him to Detective Brick Hardiman he lets her know that he will pick Sneezy McGee up the next morning at the Beckford Plaza hotel unless she has a new hotel she doesn't and they agree she gets her paper work done and Sneezy in the car even though he has been screaming that he will be killed if she takes him to Vegas but he will not tell her why so they arrive late and get the room no room service so they have to go to a sleezy cafe and the food is just that and soon they are on their way back to the Beckford and they come to a fountain she already has a bad feeling come over her she is a half Niada she needs to be around water she puts her hand in the water anyway and suddenly a woman's face comes out of the water she notices that their is a gold rope which is enslaving the woman and the others that are in the fountain with her she wants to help but she notices a man that is running toward her with a gold rope she realizes that he knows who she is and is trying to enslave her to she grabs Sneezy and yells for him to run the next morning when she wakes up she looks at herself and she looks like she has been swimming in her clothes but she can't remember a thing the phone rings and Hardiman is on the line she hangs up on him because she knows without looking that Sneezy is not in the room with her but doesn't know where he could be but she decides to take a shower before she can get in Hardiman is at the door sounds like he is about to break it down but she knows that he will not so she tells him she will meet him downstairs and gets in the shower only he removes the door and tells her he will come in the bathroom if she doesn't come out he thinks she is in their with Sneezy and he loses it because he is in love with Naya and she is his mate he is a bear shifter but he has always been to afraid to tell her how he felt and he doesn't know that she thinks he hates her. This is how aPretty good page turner begins and gets better along the way. I recevied a copy for an honest review.
Naya is a cop (and half naiad) who hates stupid criminals, and she sees her share in the tiny town of Dusty Valley just across the California border from Vegas. If she catches the criminal Sneezy she is staking out now, she will have to transport him to Vegas. In particular to Brick Hardiman, a Las Vegas detective with a stick up his butt – another thing she hated. Having caught Sneezy, the good news is she can rub it in the face of Hardiman, the bad news is no swim tonight as she will drive to Vegas, stay in a nearby hotel, and transfer Sneezy in the morning.
In Vegas they grab dinner when she walks by a fountain that seems off. Full blood naiads are tied to fountains – as half-blood she was not. She discovers 5 naiads are bound to the fountain by binding cords, and nearly gets bound herself! Next thing she knows she is waking in the hotel room – with no memory past the diner, and no prisoner.
Besides being a detective, Hardiman is a bear-shifter. He knows Naya belongs to him, but does not have the guts to tell her. He turned into an idiot around her. Instead of “throwing the book at her” he proceeds to help her, much to her surprise. As Naya and Hardiman work together to solve the missing hours and the unexpected events, they fall under a magical enchantment, find out others are looking for sneezy, have to use a magic potion, and try to figure out whether the attraction is real – or a side-effect of the magic
This is my first Tabitha Conall read, but it will not be the last – thoroughly enjoyable!!

BETTING ON BEAR-{CHARMED IN VEGAS BOOK 6}-DELIGHTFUL & STEAMY ROMANCE
What you'll find in this story; a cast of remarkably impressive and engaging characters, intriguing plot, clever banter, breathtaking scene descriptions, gut-wrenching moments, gripping suspense, thrilling action, horrific danger, a bit of drama, a bit of magic in sin-city, intoxicating toe-curling sensual romance, and a fantastic conclusion leaving you wanting more.
Naya Krena is a cop in Dusty Valley and is elated that she has luck on her side when she arrests Sneezy a criminal that Las Vegas detective Brick Hardiman has been unable to nab. Though Naya is attracted to Brick she loathes being in contact with the hunk bear-shifter as she believes he hates her. Brick’s brusque persona comes out when he feels Naya is putting herself in danger. He just can’t seem to find the proper way to woo his fated mate. When Naya’s prisoner goes missing and she cannot remember why Brick is the only one who can help her find the answers.
FANTASTIC fast paced well written creative read by two truly gifted authors. Though this story has a bit of danger it is a most delightful and uplifting read and I loved it till the end. The characters are credible and spring to life with witty dialogue and passionate vivid scene descriptions. Naya’s feisty persona melts the heart of alpha bear-shifter. If you treasure shifter fantasy this is a wonderful book for your library. {I was gifted a copy of this book and this is my honest review}. In the world of fantasy romance, the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations, I recommend this book.
I received this for a honest review. What a great combination of authors for this book. Tabitha Conall and Michelle Fox. This book was great. Though this is part of the Vegas series you do not have to worry. Each book is a standalone.
Naya Krena was a nymphs but not just any nymphs she was a Krenaia which meant she was affinity with the fountains. Because she was half human she was not tied to a fountain. Naya had captured a scum bad by the name of Sneezy. Sneezy was wanted by the mob. Naya was happy to have captured him knowing that Brick Hardiman was trying to capture him.
Naya ran into some complications the night she had captured Sneezy. She had discovered there was more than one nymphs in a fountain and someone had bounded them to that fountain. Naya wakes with no memory of what is going on. Sneezy is missing and her clothes are wet. There is so many holes in her memory.
I found Brick Hardiman funny, He was a detective that was a bear shifter. Brick has known that Naya was his mate for a long time. Imagine arriving to find her prisoner missing, gaps in her memory and to find out she is supposedly married. His heart must of sunk. Not only does he have to help her find the prisoner but he needs to help her fill in the missing pieces of the previous night, plus find out who she married. This had to be heart wrenching to find out there is a chance he lost his mate forever.
I found it funny reading about these two have a love spell put on them. Things get so close for them and they cannot help but tell their true feelings. After everything settles Naya gets to doubt Brick’s confession. Will Brick every be able to win Naya’s heart.
Naya is a cop and a naiad. She had arrested Sneezy McGee and was taking him back to Vegas. Big problem she is in Vegas and at the right hotel, it's the next morning time for the pick up but she has no memory of last night and she doesn't have Sneezy McGee to turn over. But there IS one ticked off bear shifter that's there.
Brick Hardiman is a bear shifter and a cop in Vegas. He is also got a big secret. Naya is his fated mate and he will do anything to for her. Now he has a mystery on his hands. He has to find Naya's prisoner, find out who spelled her then win his mate. Yea he can fix this! Wow what a great mystery! I loved the story line, the characters and the action! It's fantastic If you love shifters and magic this is your book Book was given for an honest review and I honestly loved it.

This is a fast read and catchy. Naya, a police officer and a naiad from Dusty Valley, has arrested a criminal that Hardiman, a police officer and a bear from Vegas, has been looking for. A naiad is a paranormal that needs to be around lots of water. So why is she in the middle of the desert? Hardiman is always surly or grouchy around Naya; so, she thinks that Hardiman hates her. But she has to meet Hardiman to turn over the prisoner to him. So she takes him to Vegas and then things spiral out of control. She doesn't remember a thing and her prisoner is missing, and Hardiman is banging on the hotel room door. What's she going to do?
This is a cute story and you finally find out what happened; since, she can't remember in the beginning. There was a different variety of paranormals that played parts in the book and the book came full circle and all the bad guys were arrested. Naya left Dusty Valley at night, when she could have left the next morning and not have to cart around a criminal that didn't seem to want to escape. When she called Hardiman, he said he couldn't take the prisoner until daytime, which seemed a bit different. This was a gliche in the story for me. I know it would not have worked out the same but for some reason that part just didn't fit. I really enjoyed the story and there were a number of bad guys, plus magic, plus paranormals, and it was fast paced. The story followed well and was well written except for the one part and we have a new paranormal to enjoy. You will enjoy it just keep an open mind.
Title: Betting on Bear Series: Charmed in Vegas Destination: Book 6, 89 Pages, StandAlone Author: Tabitha Conall with Michelle Fox Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Genre: #PNR #BearShifters #Naiad #Magic My Score: #5stars ☆☆☆☆☆
■□■□■□■□■□■□■□■□■□■□ Charmed in Vegas has me hooked from day one, book one the whole series is phenomenal you can't quit reading it, they're all StandAlone then then there's another book out, and another. Yes, this series is very addicting. Lady Tabitha is a new Author for me and I have to say she makes it quite interesting, of course Lady Michelle is becoming famous, every Series she touches, becomes an exquisite read. Naya Krena is a sheriff deputy of a little town, called Dusty Valley... Isn't this interesting a river nymph in the desert, maybe cause she's half it makes a difference. Arresting check forger, Sneezy McGee, Naya thought was easy enough until she gets to Vegas... Yes a water nymph would be attracked to a beautiful cool water fountain and mysterious Gold Rope??? Chain?????? Waking up Naked, Wedding Ring and No Memory oh boy!!! Oh wait it gets better, as if losing your memory wasn't bad enough the detective desides to break down the door acting like a cave man... WHY????? Brick Hardiman is a detective for Las Vegas, and a Bear Shifter on his way to pick up a prisoner from Deputy Sheriff Naya, the lady he is always different around he has to be.. Even if she doesn't realize he is her mate. And the comedy begins following there magical journey. I was gifted this book for an honest and truthful review.
Naya, a half-naiad, and Brick, a bear shifter, were meeting up to do a prisoner exchange in Las Vegas, but in a sudden turn of events, Naya loses her memory. Sneezy is Naya’s prisoner, and tells her that by going back to Las Vegas his life is on the line, but will not divulge any further information to her. From the first time they met, Naya thought Brick took pleasure in tormenting her, while she just felt a cacophony of emotions; she wanted Brick to notice her, but he never did and it drove her to distraction. Brick on the other hand knows Naya is his fated mate, but is afraid to express his feelings. When the two enter the Den of Cupid they find themselves under a spell, and let their inhibitions down. Naya is not sure she can believe Brick because of the enchantment, so there is only one way he can convince her totally. Naya is a Krenaia and has an affinity for fountains. When she passes one particular fountain, it feels all wrong and she soon realises why; five naiads have been bound in magical ropes and a man with a binding cord is heading her way. When Naya takes a remembrance potion everything soon becomes clear; how she escaped the man chasing her, where she has left Sneezy, how she was mistakenly identified as a bride, and the reason why she bought the memory loss and remembrance potions. This was a very intriguing story that I enjoyed reading and I would have no hesitation in recommending it. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I love this series. Ms. Conall is a new author to me, and I did enjoy this light hearted romance. A naiad, water nymph, Naya seems a little out of place living in the desert near Las Vegas. Still it suits her, as long as she drinks a lot and swims etc keeping hydrated takes the word to a whole new high. She's also a cop. And she's captured a perp that her nemesis, (Brick) Hardiman as he is called, missed capturing. Ha, ha she can't wait to one up him with this guy. So he is a big a cop from Vegas. Little old her from pudonk town, she'd done what he couldn't.
Or......she would have if she hadn't been awaken in her hotel room by none other than Hardiman--alone! Where was Sneezy, her perp?
Instead of berating her, he vows to help recapture Sneezy. That would just be unusual ordinarily, but in this case it was worse. She couldn't remember anything--and she thinks she has the reason in her pocket.
Hardiman isn't her enemy--they are mates. He just can't seem to tell her. He ends up growling and sounding angry. Not that growling is unusual for a bear shifter, but not with his mate.
Watch them check out a marriage (did she really), really bad guys, magic, some rescues of fellow Naiads, magic dangers and more. Wait till you find out what made Sneezy so afraid--all I say it you'd never guess.
A fun short read filled with magic and two unlikely lovers. I was provided an ARC for an honest review.
Bear shifter Detective meets Naiad and this PNR loving history buff is in heaven!!!!
Brick Hardiman has met his fated mate but can't seem to decide what to do about it! She maybe a deputy in a small dusty desert town but the woman is a water spirit! When her boss keeps her from water too long it affects her performance and he's scared she will wind up hurt soon.
Naya Krena despairs at her professionalism whenever Brick is around. She seems to go from competent cop to dithering ditz whenever he is around! When she returns to Vegas with a prisoner in tow but later wakes up with no memory of what happened the night before, she realises that Brick is on his way for his prisoner and she is in deep, deep, trouble.
What follows is a madcap race around Vegas looking for the escaped prisoner, Sneezy, and trying to piece together Naya's movements the night before. Think The Hangover with romance!
I loved the antics of Sneezy et al. There was misdirection, mistaken identities, trapped Naiads to rescue and memories to recover! The slow burn romance between Naya and Brick was awesome as its clear they have the hots for each other but both are under the illusion that the other doesn't like them!
I think this is probably the cutest story in the Charmed in Vegas series yet. Two cops – Naya Krena and Brick Hardiman – have never really gotten off on the right foot. Naya thinks Hardiman is out to destroy her professionally. Hardiman is tough on Naya because he knows that she is his fated mate, and messes up their interactions out of his need to protect her while not revealing why. During what was supposed to be a routine prisoner exchange, Naya’s memory is wiped out, and Hardiman works with her to find their prisoner and find out what happened to her. But of course, it’s a paranormal Las Vegas – so mischief ensues, and Naya and Hardiman may be falling prey to magic that seems to be bringing them romantically closer.
Again, I thought this story was super cute. Like all CiV stories, it was short, but it was fast paced, exciting, and humorous. Despite the brevity of the story, we’re still treated to a good chunk of action and romance as Naya and Hardiman come to terms with their feelings for each other. And after all that sweetness, the ending leaves the reader with a super-hot ending! Very enjoyable read and a good story for the series.
Copy received from publisher in exchange for an honest review.
naya isn't happy about having to go to Vegas to hand over a culprit she managed to track down, but the joy should be sweet to see the look on Brick Hardiman's face when she brought in the man he's been looking for but couldn't find! sweet victory! only things don't really go as planned. as she wakes up in her motelroom, drenched from head to toe and nobody else, she knows she's in big trouble. it doesn't help that hardiman is practically breaking down her motelroom door. this is a start of a turbulent ride for both of them. a half nayad and a bear, what a pear they make. but as they find out more about what happened to naya, naya also has to come to terms with the fact the hardiman is acting differently then his usual grumpy self. as the day moves on after finding clue after clue, their feelings hit a boiling point. confessions are made, feelings explained. but with magic and drama going around she can't be sure that anything being said is true.
join naya and brick on their journey to find out the truth about what transpired and their journey to each other. really enjoyed this book, it read easily, had a nice pace to it and i was actually sad when it ended *sniff sniff* Las Vegas, it's something else.
Brick’s got a big secret. Naya’s his fated mate. But his surly, bearish personality makes it hard to tell her. Now she's lost her memory and gained a husband, who seems to have disappeared along with the prisoner, it might be too late.
Brick is a big, Alpha bear, ready to protect his mate. Her being a deputy makes it so much more difficult for Brick to protect her. Naya believes Brick does not like her and continually attempts to push her off of cases and look incompetent. The differences of perspective are why good communication skills are needed in any professional or personal relationship. Brick wants to help Naya solve this missing prisoner case so she does not lose her job and figure out how he could have missed his chance with her if she is already married.

Betting On Bear: by Tabitha Conall with Michelle Fox is another fabulous story addition to the Charmed in Vegas Series.
I call these my go to feel good books for when I want a great pick me up book. They are Bearlicious, Sexy in essence with a cool hint of danger. And to have a bear shifter paired with a Naiads, the nymphs of Greek Mythology was just awesome! !
Bear shifter and Vegas detective Brick Hardiman gets to see his fated mate, Naya Krena, when she phones to say she has a prisoner he's been after and she's bringing him in. Oh did I say he hasn't told Naya how he feels?
Naya Krena, Sheriff deputy of Dusty Valley and Naiad, finally catches and arrests Sneezy MaGee for forged checks. He is also wanted by Hardiman in Vegas. She has to take him there, but that means seeing Hardiman, and he's always growling at her when he's around.
But when Naya wakes up and her prisoner is gone, he memory of last night..gone, this is when things get started. Squeal.
Fantastic, Fun and definitly sexy. I suggest mature ages
High 5 Stars
Received through email and instafreebee an Advanced Reader Copy. to read and review. Honest review given. Reviewer for Nook Books and More.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Naya Krena a half-naiad, half-human cop was only trying to transporting a suspect wanted in Vegas, when eveyone thing went into the toilet. She wakes up the next morning, with major amnesia, wet clothes, and her suspect is missing. On top of that, the Vegas cop Brick Hardiman whom she was trading the suspect off to is at her door. But, again, the suspect is missing and Hardiman has the bad habit of giving Naya a hard time every time they work together. Naya tries to blow Hardiman off until she can figure out what to do next, but the other cop refuses to take the hint. Naya has no choice but to tell Hardiman the whole story and together they have to retrace Naya's movements from the previous day and find the missing supect. Hardiman is a bear shifter and has known that Naya is his fated mate since the day he met her, but instead of telling her so-he just growls and glares at her. Hardiman uses this time to try and get closer to Naya and finally tell her how he feels about her.
I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review. My only complaint about this book was that it was too short! It was a very quick read. Naya is a cop in a California town. She has found a criminal wanted in Vegas and now has to take him to Vegas to a bear shifter named Brick Hardiman. Naya is not particularly happy about this since she and Brick seem to rub each other the wrong way. Brick knows that Naya is a naiad and so is very attuned to water. He also knows that she is his mate, unfortunately he always seems to growl at her instead of sweet talking her. When he shows up to pick up his prisoner he is not happy when Naya won't let him into her room. Naya has no idea what happened to the prisoner, but she is sure that Brick is not going to let her off the hook for losing him, or is he? Why is Brick being so nice to her? Why is he helping her and not reporting her to his boss? Join Brick and Naya as they work to solve the mystery of her memory loss, find her missing prisoner, and maybe come to understand each other a little better.
Another great read in this series that will leave you warm and fuzzy. Naya is constantly on the defensive when it comes to Brick Hardiman, and with good reason. Brick has a hard time when it comes to talking to women, especially Naya. He always sounds gruff and it usually scares them off in no time. Being a big bear doesn't help either, but as soon as his bear saw Naya, he knew she was his fated mate, and all he wanted was to protect her. Naya has been trying to work her way up the ladder at the police department, but as soon as Brick is close, she starts to bumble and stumble. Will it ever get easier? When forced to see him again with a prisoner exchange, she discovers that as long as he's involved, nothing changes. A great quirky romantic comedy that will have you laughing out loud and melting in your chair as these two work their way to their HEA. This duo of authors never cease to amaze me with their skills, and this is another perfect example. Loved it! I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Naya is a naiad, Brick is a Bear Shifter. With a name like Brick can he be anything else but a massively handsome, strong, growly, Bear Shifter? They're both Police Officers, she from iddy biddy Dusty Valley, CA, and he from across the border in big bad Las Vegas, NV.
They've dealt with each other before, never to her satisfaction. Always he's at his growly, gruffy, worst to her way of thinking, and she's at her clumsiest, fouling up worst. To him she's always in danger and needs protecting, and he's tongue-tied and fumbling, clumsy, embarrassingly so. Get the picture?? Two paranormals waiting to collide. Boom-Da-Da-Boom!! Mix in a missing prisoner, Mafia thugs, magic spells, and bound slaves, and you have a recipe for an excitingly interesting fun 24 hours.
Sort out the truth from the magic spells, the thugs from the good guys, and grab your front row seat to a great show. Enjoy it like I did. Received a free copy for an honest review.
Naya is not a fan of Vegas. As a half-naiad, she shouldn't be in the desert anyway. Her trip for work to deliver a felon goes very wrong. It leaves her with real concerns about what she did last night.
Brick is a police officer too. He is a bear shifter and knows Naya is his mate but is not very good with women. She thinks he hates her. As they work to recover her memories, it gives them a chance to share their real feelings.
There is a sweetness about the big bear shifter afraid to admit to his feelings. Naya is pretty insecure due to her family. Seeing these two fight the attraction is fun.
I have enjoyed this series featuring all kinds of supernaturals in Vegas. It is a lot of fun and I recommend it. Each book is a standalone and written by different authors as well so you can jump in to the series anywhere.
This review is from: Betting on Bear (Charmed in Vegas Book 6) (Kindle Edition) I received through insta freebee this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Betting on Bear is the 6th book in the Charmed in Vegas Series by two amazing authors. This book is fast pace, full of romance, passion, magic, paranormal creatures, intrigue, some thugs, mafia goons, attempted kidnapping, some twists, fated mates, overall is very well written and remarkable story. I highly recommend this book to lovers of shifter and paranormal romance books. In this issue we have sassy Naya Krena, sheriff's deputy and naiad in the town of Dusty Valley, and a sexy Las Vegas Detective and short-tempered bear shifter Brick Hardiman. Great story and love the characters. It is a standalone, No cliffhangers! What's going on and What will happened? No Spoilers here, so go buy the book!!!
To Tell The Truth Naya is a mix of human and naiads which allows her more freedom than a full naiad that would be tied to a permanent water source. Due to her mixed heritage she is not welcome by her parents and she avoids others naiads and other wet places they may be at. This is how she ended up a cop in Dusty Valley a place in the middle of the desert with no standing water source.
Brick Hardiman is a Las Vegas detective bear shifter who has gotten off on the wrong foot with Naya in the past. Due to his bear’s gruff personality every time he talks to her it comes out wrong.
They meet in Vegas to do an prisoner exchange and something goes so wrong. Will they be able to figure out what happen to Naya and the prisoner Sneezy before someone gets hurt? Will Brick’s ever get a chance to really connect with Naya?
Stay tuned these questions will be answered in the book. Enjoy
Naya, is a small town policewoman from the outskirts of vegas. Brick is a vegas detective.. and She is his mate, he knows it she doesn't........... He can not find the way to let her know how he feels, so she endangers herself and her growls and fusses and makes her feel like he is out for her job. Boy is she ever wrong.
She picks up a wanted vegas criminal and has to transport the prisoner to Brink. She looses him and her memory in the process. Brink just wants to keep her safe and as the day wears on the more he is with her the more he realizes he can not go on without her. He has got to make her understand that she is HIS. And that he is hers. As they slip trip and stumble their way to love ever after it is an amusing ride.
Come dance the never ending dance with Naya and Brink.... It is worth the dance.
Betting on Bear is a must read for anyone who loves the Charmed in Vegas series. I was given this book for an honest review.
Naya Krena is a deputy in a small town west of Vegas, she is also half human and half naiad. After arresting Sneezy McGee and arranging to deliver him back to Vegas, she sets out to bring him to Brick Hardiman, a bear shifter who is a part of the Vegas police. Naya was dreading the encounter with Hardiman since he apparently hated her.
When Hardiman arrives to pick up Sneezy, he awakens Naya from a drugged sleep and Sneezy is gone. Naya cannot remember any of the previous night and together they head out to find Sneezy and find out what really went down that Naya is not remembering.
I highly recommend this book to all PNR readers. It has romance, intrigue and a HEA ending.
Naya is a strong, independent woman that just wants to make her mark on the world, proving that she can stand on her own 2 feet but she has a complication, she is a half-naiad, sort of a water nymph, living in the desert. She catches a criminal that her nemesis Brick Hardimann is looking for so now she needs to get Sneezy to Vegas and into Brick’s hands. When she wakes the next morning without her memory and no Sneezy, well, this sends her and Brick on an interesting adventure to figure out what happened to Sneezy. Brick is excited to see Naya but he struggles every time her sees and opens mouth to insert foot. See, she’s his fated mate but as a bear shifter, he doesn’t know how to tell her. Will these 2 strong willed cops find a balance together while solving the case? I was given a copy for an honest review.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Naya is a cop living in a small town a short drive from Vegas. And she hates having to go to Vegas for work because it means interacting with Brick, who is always making her out to be inferior. Brick is a surly bear shifter cop who knows Naya is his mate but hasn't told her yet, because every time he talks to her he puts his foot in it. Until her latest trip to Vegas to hand off a prisoner goes horribly wrong.
Another awesome addition to the Charmed in Vegas series. These two cops hunting down clues about what happened to Naya forces them to work together and ultimately discover the miscommunications between them. A great mystery with twists and turns throughout, as well as a hot romance brewing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
Love the Charmed in Vegas series. While you do not have the read the series to follow along in each book, it does make it fun and more interesting. In this book we meet Naya Krena who is a half naiad and oh yes a Sherriff’s deputy outside of Vegas. She is bringing in a prisoner to Vegas detective and bear shifter Brick Hardiman. Funny thing is Naya thinks Brick can't stand her but in reality.........
You really thought I was one of those folks who would tell you the story line in a review. OH NO not me, This part means to much to the story of the book and it is so much fun to see how it plays out. Needless to say this is a really good book in this series and one I highly recommend. So Grab it and get to reading!
