About a small Tiger who wants to be a big Tiger- This story is perfect for exploring action words. Inside has some lovely illustration, a cute story for the early years ☺️☺️
I really enjoyed this easy read. Tiger is really a little kitten who loves to pretend he's a real tiger. The description in this book is fantastic for introducing foundation stage or lower KS1 to descriptive language.
We all remember as children fantasising about becoming a hero, pretending to be a princess or walking in our mums heels. Children still love to dress-up, role -play and essentially step into the world of fantasy and dream. For this dream to exist what is required, is simply the use of imagination....
I really liked this book because it had a great use of imagination which is relative to young children. The story is about a little kitten, who like a child always wants to imagine themselves as someone else-someone exciting. For this kitten, the idea of pretending to be a fierce tiger was what appealed to him, it made him feel all grown-up. I feel that this book would be a good read for the EYFS because of the use of colours, illustration and simple language.
This book was very useful in identifying the characteristics of Tigers, when learning about animals this book would relate very well and reinforce learning.
A delightful little book about a kitten who thinks he's a tiger. Grownups will appreciate at least one page more than the children, but the toddler loved it.
I give this book a 5 star review because of the blurb "This is Tiger. He isn't a real tiger, but when he plays... he can be anything he wants to be!" What a lovely message to share with children at this stage they can be what ever they want to be and imagination is vital. Lovely book
Tiger isn’t a real tiger. He’s a kitten. But sometimes when he plays he pretends to be a real Tiger.' This book has the most gorgeous illustrations of a little ginger cat and a tiger. It's such a lovely story that I have read hundreds of times to both of my children at bedtime.
Story about a baby tiger imagining he is a big tiger, bit of rhyming, words one side, pictures on the other. Would make for a basic calm story at the end of the day before home time for early primary year groups
This is a story about a kitten pretending to be a tiger and NOT doing all the things that kittens like to do!
This book is especially nice when read really slowly, word by word, which seems to have a relaxing effect. The pictures are bold, bright and clear and interesting to look at.
A good read at the end of a busy day and needing to wind down.
