Escaping a kidnapping duo, Bailey runs into a naked man in the middle of the woods. And he's not alone. Rescued by a quad of hunks, then kept against her will, she doesn't know what to think or do-other than scream that is-when she discovers they are werewolves. Even more frightening, they want her as their mate despite her human status. But there's more to Bailey than meets the eye, and she comes to the attention of an evil force that wants to use her. Can Bailey keep herself from his clutches, or will he somehow force her to betray the pack? And just how does a girl raised with human morals come around to accepting pack law which states females can choose up to four mates, and more shocking, take them to her bed, all at once?
Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
Warning: Not all gorgeous blond cowboys with dark-haired sidekicks met in a bar will be werewolves, but if they are, prepare to howl, because when it comes to loving their mate, nothing beats their hands-on tag team approach.
In this awesome sequel to Defying Pack Law. Bailey is a pretty lonely girl. After finding out that her boyfriend was screwing her best friend she decides to go out for a night on the town. After running into an awfully delectable cowboy(Gavin) at the bar...the next day she finds her self and a very sticky situation. She's in an unfamiliar house with no recollection how she got there. Realizing she's been kidnapped, Bailey only has one option...get the hell outta dodge. Running naked through the woods trying to flea her captures she bumps into a naked Gavin....
Gavin is pack. His job is to find the rogue weres and dispose of them per his Alpha. While on the job he runs into the sexy Bailey. Then finds out she's been taken by the rogues he and his fellow pack brothers has been hunting. To Gavin, Bailey is the one...his true mate. Elated of that fact and he doesnt have to share her as per pack law. But once he finally finds Bailey and she's introduced to his brothers he finds out that he's not the only one who feels she's his mate and Bailey suddenly doesnt seem completely human anymore.
I greatly enjoyed this 2nd book of the pack series. Bailey was not just a damsel in distress and didnt take what the guys said at face value. It was quite entertaining to see her try to fight her feelings for Gavin as well as Jaxon, Parker and Wyatt. Living in a polymorous relationship was completely foreign to her and she fought it as much as she could. But all four of these tempting specimens were all male and completely ready to please and love her so of course finally she succumed.
I greatly enjoyed Jaxon...he really had some LOL moments for sure. Every time things seemed too series or too much for Bailey to handle..in comes Jaxon with one of his quips:
“I have another one if you like that. Roses are red, violets are blue, your lips look so juicy, and I’ll bet your pus—”
I loved how all of her Beau's had their own personality traits that balanced each other. Jaxon with his sense of humor and playfulness. Gavin with his intensity and passion. He knew she was the one from the start. Wyatt at first was reluctant to claim her because he wanted love. I just adored that about him. And Parker was her rock. All of them together was like the perfect man and she had 4 bodies to do naughty things with.
I just cant express how much I loved this book and love Eve's writing as a whole. With her you dont just get a naughty novella. You get great PNR with a super naughty twist. All her heroines are tough in their own way and the Alpha's are so scrumptious!! ***sigh***
This is Eve’s second book in the Pack series, it starts out with a bang and ends with one too. Just as the first in the series this one is full of fast action, mystery and emotions that will have you hanging onto your seat. You get a wonderful plus sized heroine that’s not afraid of adventure or sex and this heroine not only gets 3 but 4 hot demanding wolves, lucky dog LOL. This one was so intense I couldn’t put it down until I read it all and then I was left with a surprise that had me crying…..
It was exciting to read which mate Bailey would take on next. All of the men are wonderful but you have to keep in mind the title of this book as you read. When she gets to the last mate something happens I can’t say what happened because it’s a big spoiler but I will say some of you may not like it, at first I didn’t like it, but after I read the book it seemed very fitting. Then again I am still stunted that Eve would put this in her book but I know she has something up her sleeve.
If you love Eve’s books you won’t be disappointed with this one and if you have never tried her books please read the first one in this series first. This is a stand-alone but Eve puts little hints in her books that helps bring out the story even better if read in order.
Teaser “Hey, wait a second. You bit me, so since you’re a werewolf, does that mean I’m going to go furry on the next full moon?” The idea both fascinated and repulsed her.
A grin stretched his face, displaying his gleaming white teeth. “Sorry. But lycanthropy is something we’re born with.”
“Oh. So I don’t need to invest in a flea collar?”
“Nah, those critters tend to stay away from our kind. But mosquitoes, however, love us.”
My Rating.....5 Stars!! to "Betraying The Pack" Pack Two by author Eve Langlais...
This is book two in this series of four. Book one, "Defying Pack Law" is what reeled me in and "Betraying The Pack" was just as sexy, sinful, and filled with suspense and evil.
This story features Bailey and the four sexy wolf shifters that desire her. Yes, that's right! I said four: Gavin, Wyatt, Parker and Jaxon. These four men were amazing and loving and each had their own distinct personality.
Bailey wakes up one day to realize that she has been kidnapped. Unfortunately, she can't remember much more than that. Like who kidnapped her and why. Thankfully, Bailey manages to escape. She finds herself running naked through the dark, unfamiliar woods while being chased, only to run into Gavin who is naked as well!
Gavin was relieved to find Bailey. He met her previously in a bar and instantly felt a strong connection to her. Once he realized she had been kidnapped, he and his pack mates set out to find and rescue her. Saying Bailey is frightened and freaked out is an understatement; she has no idea why she was abducted or by whom. Although they don't know why Bailey was kidnapped and held, Gavin, Wyatt, Parker and Jaxon know that she needs their protection. All four of these men are drawn to her. They will protect her with their lives if necessary and then they will claim her. Of course Bailey is shocked by the fact these four gorgeous men want her. Not to mention the part about them being wolf shifters?!
I loved all four of these wolf shifters. Gavin was intense and passionate and determined to make Bailey his mate. Wyatt was hesitant to claim Bailey at first. He wanted her but he wanted it to be about love. Awwww........ Parker was her "rock." He was the one who kept her calm. He was patient and understanding of her feelings. More so than the others in my opinion. And then there is Jaxon. he was the funny one. His jokes were cute and not only balanced out the other men's personalities, he brought lightness to the dark evil they were fighting against.
This is one of those reviews where I find myself lacking for the perfect words. Eve Langlais is an amazing writer. I was experiencing so many different emotions as I read.
I can't say to much about the ending without giving it away. I will say that something happens at the very end that leads me to believe there may be a continuation in book three even though there will be new main characters. If that's the case...I need to get reading!
So I love Eve Langlais' books but I absolutely hated this one. How Jaxon is treated is just terrible and makes you realize that these five have no idea what real love is. SPOLIER He falls off a cliff with the bad guy and they believe he's dead so they go to a motel she cries and then a couple hours later she's thinking oh well need to live my life and move on at least I have three other men to fuck me. The epilogue makes you believe that Jaxon and Roderick survived the fall and that Jaxon is being tortured. What's worse Bailey can feel this through her mating bond and she doesn't seem to care or want to try and find him. She's like oh well he's alive I guess things will work out in the mean time I'll just pop out this kid and conrinue to fuck my other mates.

So I hate messy endings. So I wanted to give this a 1star but I cheated and looked at the next book so I know know what really happened and my mind can be set at ease. Will I read the next book, maybe.. it depends if I have nothing else to read.
So one minute Baileys mate dies in front of her and she’s heartbroken, can’t stop crying. The next morning she says oh well I have to get over it and has an orgy. Please make it make sense.

* You need to have read the previous story to fully understand this book.
While on a night out, Bailey is kidnapped by a mysterious bad guy who tortures her and after a while leaves her for his minions. She manages to escape and finds help with werewolf Gavin and his friends Wyatt, Parker and Jaxon. They take her to safety and they feel like she is their destined mate, but the evl mastermind Roderick is not finished with Bailey and wants her back.
Pro's: + All characters are well explained and all of them get a whole background story and even have their own motivations and characters. Eve Langlais usually doesn't motivate her characters that much and it was a really nce change of pace to read this book. + The story is easy readable, an ideal read when you're also reading something heavier. This is a funny book and it isn't that big so you can read through this in an evening or so. + I liked how the author gave every mating of Bailey and her men their own little story and not just throwing them together in one big orgy mating. She did that a bit in the previous book and I didn't really like that.
Con's: - The beginning of the book sets up for Bailey to be secretly mind controlled or being made/ undormated a werewolf by Roderick. But halfway through the story the author seems to change her mind on this and then make a mayor, unlogical 180 and take the action in a whole different way until the ending. Very unfortunate, as I think the setting in the beginning of the story would have made the ending more logical.
All in all a very interesting read, but the weird ending was a bit of a downer for me. It was a bit confusing, but if you're into spicy romances ( and harem stories) this book is a must read. I think the overarching story was not very present or developing in this entry, but I think this will change in the upcoming book. This book has a very open ending and I can only assume this will carry on into the next book.
After finding her boyfriend in her bed with her best friend Bailey decides she needs to get out in the world and make new friends. I am sure she never expected to get the attention of several sexy unmated werewolves. All it took was one trip into a country bar and that is exactly what she got. Now she just needs to come to terms with what they want from her and how she feels about that. That’s a little difficult to accomplish with her crazed libido and the crazed fool who has kidnapped her.
Gavin and his team consisting of Wyatt, Parker and Jaxon are out hunting the rogue were’s linked to Roderick when the curvy little flirt he met at the bar scent crosses his nose and he knows those scents should never have been mixed. Knowing that the rogues have been hunting and hurting human females they fear that Bailey is their newest victim.
I had a few issues with Bailey. Actually not Bailey but how Bailey was written. She’s plump, curvy, full figured, a few extra pounds, you name it, pick your choice of wording it was pointed out. It was pointed out way too many times. It got old and annoying. The weight was also accompanied by her numerous doubts of why her four men were dotting on her. Many men out in the world prefer a woman with curves over boney gals. Trust me I know this first hand. Other than this one issue I loved Bailey. She handled the men and her new world superbly. She didn’t let the fellas push her to make choices she wasn’t ready to make.
I loved how all four of the were’s treated their gal. Guys like this are the number one reason I read romances. They were completely swoon worthy. Gavin, Wyatt, Parker and Jaxon knew they wanted the curvy little human. They also know she was raised in a society that taught her multiple partners was taboo. They were patient, never pushy in their hopes that she would come around to wanting them all to be with her in a romantic relationship.
The reason I loved Bailey so much was this rant to Wyatt: “Listen here a$$hole. In the last little while, I’ve been kidnapped, drugged, almost raped, attacked by wolves, rescued and then kidnapped again, attacked, and brought to some faraway woods with killer squirrels by a perverted sex cult who thinks they’re werewolves. I think I deserve a little understanding, so would it kill you to fu@king show me your furry dog again?” Yep, I want her as my new bestie!
The last page of the book leads me to believe that there may be a continuation of this book, or most definitely a continuation of the series. I like both ideas. The eroticism of Eve’s Pack series is excellent. I would continue reading this series. The characters are fleshed out. I also like a good smutty ménage on occasion. The overall plot leaves plenty of places for her to explore and keep me entertained.
Overview BTP… In walks lonely girl who meets sexy cowboy. Cowboy sniffs… Cowboy likes… However, due to extraordinary circumstances nobody gets a happy ending. That is until evil doer kidnaps girl… Of course our Cowboy is a hero and therefore must save the day. After much deliberation on girls’ part, she allows Cowboy and his buddies to keep her safe. Now I don’t know about you but if I was surrounded by sexy men (also shifters), I would be willing to share the love. If you like shifters, action, and some steamy sex then this might be the book for you.
Likes Loved the fact that our heroine could think for herself and was not afraid to stand up for what she wanted (nice kick)… even when surrounded by super macho men. My other like of this book has to do with the fact that she didn’t just jump into bed with all four men at once. Now, I’m not saying she waited years but hours is sometimes just too soon for me. And a special Kiss for my sexy gentle giant *Purr* – you were my favorite!
Dislikes My only dislike of this book was the ending… but I guess I can’t really put the ending in my review. Unfortunately you’ll have to read the story to find out what I mean! *Tear*

I really have a problem with the way this author ends her stories. This book was good, had a nice pace, hot alphas, and lots of heat. Then came the end. One of the guys is "forced" to betray the pack, he becomes a "mate" with a little kiss", then redeems himself by throwing himself and the bad guy over a cliff. So was never a true mate, and the worse part is Bailey and the others don't believe he is dead, but do they go looking for him. NO!! Worse mate ever, and pretty crappy friends as well. I do not even know if I will continue this series or not. Leaning towards not to be honest.

Poor Bailey...she's found a hunk...he asks her to wait for him, he has an errand to run...and then she's kidnapped and held by something hideous.
Just when she thinks she's escaped...she's surrounded by WOLVES...HUGE WOLVES...well they are really Lycan Pack Members...but still...WOLVES!
Once she understands the situation, she's still not very at ease. They keep saying she's SAFE now...but WOLVES! And one of them BITES her...which is a marriage in Lycan Pack society.
This is a real journey for her...from being alone and lonely...to surrounded by men who want to adore her....FOUR of them that want to adore her. Good thing for her that she's now under PACK protection and she CAN have all of them...if she can overcome her fear.
And that bad thing that had her earlier? It wants her BACK...
I was worried from reading one review that this would have a horrible cliffhanger...there is one, but it leads to a sequel and it isn't bad, all things considered.
Now...I just wish I had found these books when the NEXT one was out!
The pack alpha's father and evil half vampire half werewolf Roderick is back. This time around he and his motley crew of rogue werewolves are kidnapping supposedly random women only for their tortured bodies to be found days or weeks after being taken. His most recent victim is Bailey, a young woman who has just been betrayed by her boyfriend and best friend and decides to go to a bar by herself to try and make friends. While there she meets Gavin and Wyatt, werewolves even though she is unaware of it, and of course a rogue working for Roderick who proceeds to kidnap her. When Gavin and his crew discover she has been taken they work to find her and then once they have her they arent letting her out of their sight. You need to read the first one to understand quite a few things in this follow up. I happen to love Eve Langlais so I loved this one, and liked the first one quite a bit so knew what to expect. Spoiler: I really hope that Jaxon comes back and was kind of dissapointed at how the other guys acted like it was no big deal and like that was what he deserved.
Well, it's been quite a while since I read #1, but I might have to keep reading this series now because I'm intrigued. First, I know Jaxson isn't gone. He can't be. Which also means the douche is still alive. And, since there are four in the series and this is just number two, of course there's more to tell. Still, it was an interesting story. I'm not sure the sex was all that, but I have to enjoy men who like a curvy girl. :-) And, because these are shifters and the normal rules don't apply, of course it was pretty much insta-love. I can forgive that in a paranormal. I mean they're mates -- you can't fight fate, right? So I'm apparently going to have to read the rest of this series now to see what happens.
Ooooo 4 guys, 1 girl...Hells Yeah I'm reading it!! Plus, it has a WARNING!!! Hee Hee!
Warning: Not all gorgeous blond cowboys with dark-haired sidekicks met in a bar will be werewolves, but if they are, prepare to howl, because when it comes to loving their mate, nothing beats their hands-on tag team approach.
Note: All the sexual focus is on her. There is no male on male action.
What a fun read. I liked all the characters. Especially Wyatt. He was my favorite of Bailey's men. I liked his alphaness. I did wish she had more time with Jaxon. Although from the ending I know I'll see him again. I'm also thoroughly tired of Roderick and I can not see him again and won't be sad. I'm ready for someone to finally finish him. I loved the sex scenes and can't wait to read the next one.
I have to say I am a fan of this author but I can honestly say that I did not like how this book ended and the climax with the women in this series is very annoying like it's always the guys fault. it's never the girl's fault for her losing her fucking mind over crazy shit it's always him to getting on his knees. then Jason jumps off a cliff for her and within hours she's sleeping with her mate talking about she is grieve and it's time to smooth on
Look, I am really into this series. Are the characters super fleshed out and complex? Well, not really, but there is a lot of action and I am living for it. And the twist in this one? I really did not see it coming and it's been a while since that happened - maybe I also took it easy because it's a paranormal romance and I was having a headache anyway.
Even so, props for a great twist, but (spoilers incoming) ... Just no, that definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth by the end of the book. I mean yeah, grief sex is a thing, but the way it was done I just found it tasteless.
I also felt like this book dragged a lot. From her internal conflicts that are never really addressed properly, to a lot of slut shaming and internal slut shaming (which were also present in the first book fyi), there just were a lot of things that made me enjoy this book less. But even so, it would've been a 3 star read if it weren't for the bitter ending.
I am glad we did not get a repeat of the first book in the series, but I feel like getting the exact opposite of that (character wise) is not exactly what I wanted either. For starters, the FMC was pretty annoying, and the MMCs were very one-dimensional.
Anyway, I will continue the series - because yeah, I am really into it for whatever reason, even though I am not thrilled because of the whole mates-thing and that means I have to deal with this FMC AGAIN - I just hope that part of the story will be minor and get resolved quickly and then we can get on with another mating menage or whatever.
Oh no, no, no,no. Dare I have hope? That epilogue, is it too good to be true. Please don't joke. Is the one that everyone assumes dead really alive? Well not the vile one, he can stay dead, but you know what they say, unless there’s a body. I hope so. It just seems so unjust that he did not get his chance to shine. I am reeling. Positively reeling. Ok. I’m ahead of myself. This is the second book in the Pack series, love the series, and can be read as a standalone, but you really should read the first. It was so darned good too. So this book had a lot to live up to, with the first being one of my favorites. Oh man, I think it got replaced. This book was awesome. Just awesome. There is so much heat in this book, you may need a fire extinguisher. And the twists and turns. Oh the twists and turns. Strap yourself in, it's a wild ride. I don't want there to be spoilers, so its really hard to write this review. Just buy the book, um I mean the entire series, saves time for when you want to dive into the next one, and you will want to. Eve Langlais out did herself with this one. Her books are always great, so you can't go wrong there, but this one had so much more to it. The characters are very real life, and yet still grow and develop. A million stars for this read.
Bailey, running away from a couple of nasties, gets caught and 'kidnapped' by four naked men: Gavin, Wyatt, Jaxon, and Parker - who happen to be Lycan enforcers. Bailey, a supposed human is actually a "dormant" who only gets her wolf when mated, so the four guys set about claiming her. However, Roderick an exiled wolf turned vampire with mind-reading skills, has set triggers in Bailey's mind to help him over-run the pack who exiled him. Good suspenseful type of story, in which Jaxon plays the betrayer - not his fault - and who I hope gets a good redemption story later.
I would like to have so many lovers at one time for the rest of my life. 🤗🤗🤗 What that SOB did to Bailey was awful. Then to torture her longer once she found her mates and taking one of them from her made me angry. Bailey, Gavin, Wyatt, Parker and Jaxson had it good until Nathan’s father changed that and took Jaxson from her. On to the next story and to think I didn’t want to finish this series. HAH!!! I should have known when I finished the first book back in June that the next one would be just as good. Now to start the 3rd one. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜💜💜😊😊😊😊😊
This was a great second story so far in this series 😃. They're figuring out that the Lycan's that they thought were unable to access their wolf, might be able to with the right mates 🤔. But, the bad guy who they thought was dead, might actually be alive 😩. Thanks again Eve, I can't wait to read more 🤓.
I really liked this one :) A LOT of action going on (not just in the bedroom either :) And it ends on a good note, with the possibility of yet another "pack" book - YEAH!!!
This book mentions Nathan and Dana from the previous book - if you haven't read the first book, I recommend reading it first - that one explains a lot of the Counsel Laws and Mating rights - it also sets up this book nicely.
In the Prologue, we meet Bailey. It's not pretty. She is being tortured beyond belief. She wakes up strung up naked and in so much pain, but doesn't remember what happened... then she sees the red evil eyes coming at her. She can't believe their real, she doesn't WANT to believe they're real, but they're real enough - so are the claws and fangs coming towards her with a syringe , and just as the liquid agony he poured into her veins proved excruciating beyond anything she could ever imagined... her living nightmare had only just begun... Waking up in a cold sweat, naked and not knowing how she was strung up and naked and in pain, and still doesn't know what happened .. the torture begins all over again.
24 Hour before - Bailey is a little lonely. Her parents died last year, and her boyfriend cheated on her with her best friend. and now neither of them spoke to her.. And she was tired of being alone. So forcing herself to get up and get dressed, she called herself a cab and headed to a Country dance club/bar - As she walks in, she notices a LOT of people dancing around. She struggles to get to the bar, where she is knocked from behind and lands on a man obviously descended from boulders considering how hard and unyielding his body proved. Long glances at each other had them both anxious to get to know one another. But Bailey being as shy as she is, couldn't help but blush ever time he looked at her. Gavin couldn’t' remember the last time a Human had appealed to him like this. In fact, he can't remember his Wolf ever wanting a human. He introduced himself to her as Gavin. And just before she could give him her name, a second body closed in on her other side and blushed again as his intent black eyes swiveled to meet hers.
It seems Gavin wasn't at the bar for fun and games - the new guy lets him know that what they're seeking isn't here. So they take off, but not without the promise to return from Gavin.
As Bailey watched them leave, she kept thinking that there was no way he'd be back for her. So after watching the door and wishfully thinking he'd return , she finally stood up and walked around the room towards the restrooms, and that's where she started feeling dizzy and everything went black
Gavin and Whyatt were trying to find the Rouge Wolves that were kidnapping human girls, and returning them dead and mauled. But they were staying under the radar, they couldn't find them anywhere. After a few hours, Gavin wanted to head back to the Country bar for his little curly haired shy human girl. But when he got there, one sniff and he knew she wasn't there. But he did smell one of the Rouge Wolves they were hunting, and Gavin knew without a doubt that she was their next victim.
It would take too long for me to go through everything that happens up until the main part thickens, so I'm just going to summarize it a little more.
Gavin finds her purse in the parking lot and they go to her apartment and find it thrashed. Then they go back to the hotel where they met up with their other Pack Mates, Parker and Jaxon. They fill them in on what happens, and because Gavin is so determined to find this girl, they head out as soon as they can to find her.
Back to Bailey, she wakes up in a bed, naked but not feeling any pain. She looks around trying to find out where she is, but nothing seems familiar. She doesn't know what happened after she passed out at the bar (it's now 5 days later) She walks to the door and finds it opened. She sees a man coming out of a room and he starts walking towards her. She slowly steps down the stairs, then she breaks out into an all out run into the woods. And she runs smack dab into the softest tree she's ever felt - oh wait, that's not a tree, that's Gavin's naked chest - lol
Ok now she's back with the boys - Gavin realizes that she doesn't know what happened or what day it is. Then she sees the wolves walking towards her. Although they aren’t growling or anything, she passes out from fear -
They head to her apartment where the rouges are waiting for them, See lots of action going on in this book :) But hey - it's a romance book!! Lots of lovin' too! I love the difference of these 4 guys, and their attraction to this human - a HUMAN!?!?! because it's pack law for a she wolf to take on 2 or more mates, but a human female, to have feelings for more than one guy at a time?? Wow! that's just a little too slutty for Bailey :)
But once she learns about the who and what they are and the way things are done, it doesn't seem so crazy anymore -
The book has a lot of chasing, both from the pack members and from the rouses - It has a few great twists and curves (she's a curvy girl, and very concerned about her body, but the guys know how to worship her to make her feel beautiful and loved)
So looking forwrad to the next book - I'm really hoping there will be :)
I didn't think much of Bailey, although I'll grant her that she was in a very difficult position. My heart breaks for Jaxon. As for the others... meh. Again with the slut-shaming and toxic masculinity.
3.5 stars. Didn't care all that much for female lead. The story was a bit choppy in delivery but not bad. Jaxson was just a bit too immature than the rest to make it a cohesive unit.
Didn't like the narrator. The story was good, if predictable. Just loved how they didn't bother to check if certain people were dead after the fight. Gee whiz.
