A good book.
This book was not as well developed in plot and characters as I would enjoy but a good plot and a good read.

Even better than the first one. I seriously couldn't put this down. There were some errors, but it didn't bother me too much. Although some things were easy to figure out, others, the author had me guessing. I like where the story went and that there is more to it. The character progression was great and can't wait to find out more.

I found this book to be fun. It was billed as a mystery but I don't really think it is, it was more about the magic which just happened to help find the missing stone. You knew who took them from the start and with no questioning of suspects (of Which there was non) there was no investigation. I still enjoyed the book because Bailey performed magic, okay it didn't go to plan but that's part of the fun. This is book two, I am not sure it is necessary to have heard he previous book but it does help you if you know all the characters and you get to meet a new one who is going to play a big part in future books by the looks of it. He added some mystery and I think he is a good addition to a good cast of characters. On to the next book.
With the last owner of the eight caves in jail part time worker Bailey is worried to hear that someone has brought the caves. Will they still want her as a tour guide? She makes a good impression on the owner and gets her old job back but the feeling isn't mutual. Bailey doesn't trust the new boss and believes he is up to something and brought the caves for a reason. When the museum is broken into and the only think stolen is one of the three stones that came from caves themselves Bailey turns to her coven for help. But why would her boss steal from himself? And with it gone what does it mean for the caves and the source of Bailey's magic.
,I like Angel as the narrator she puts her heart into the reading and you can't help but hear her excitement come through.

The stones of the covenant
A good read but although there is a mystery of sorts the reader is aware from the start who the culprit is. The characters however are growing in strength and power and now it looks as if one of her BFF's might be magically gifted too. I wonder when she will find out the truth about her birth mother as it's obvious who it is,
A new owner of the tour business! When she finds out, she goes over there only to find a crowd of tourist and no owner. Taking matters into her own hands she starts taking bookings. Meeting the owner is a revelation - she can't read him! Add in lessons in magic, an attempt by her to fix the damage in her other BFF's marriage, a theft and a new covenant with the caves. Oops! Don't forget the wizard.

I feel like I've been scammed
I have never liked "cliffhangers", which isn't to say this book is one. It simply ends for no apparent reason. It is as if the author decided it was time to go to bed -- leaving a hefty portion of the next book in the series to entice me to purchase the next one. I haven't decided whether or not to do so. I'm afraid that this will happen over and over.

we join Bailey again as she continues her on her journey to become an accomplished witch. Working with the sisters above the bakery just trying to light a candle is providing to be difficult. The touring company and caves have been sold to Avery and Bailey is going back to work. There's a new mystery, one of the stones from the caves is missing. Avery turns out to be a warlock. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Wow! This second book was magically intense!
The Caves are magic and the magic is old and complex. Bailey Robinson is part of it all somehow and so are her best friends and her Coven and the new guy in town. Then someone takes one of the three stones that are somehow a key to the caves and it absolutely must be recovered. And so a lot of special magic is required. An astounding book is the result.

Generations of Witches
Interesting story about a coven of witches that are protecting an exceptional site and are beginning training with a young woman into witch craft. Something strange has happened and a suspicious young man has shown up. What will happen with Bailey and this group of women. Read and enjoy.

Coven Grove keeps having trouble
Bailey, a young witch , is constantly stumbling into trouble. She has an uncanny relationship with the caves, and there are indications that she will be stronger than the other witches in the coven. Fast moving entertainment.
Cleverly written who done it. An additional boy meets girl adds a twist of romance to the series. There are numerous warnings from many parties which is destined to be ignored.
I am somewhat disappointed in the heroine's determination to push beyond her limits. It leads to additional stressors for many characters.

Another great story.
Constance Barker writes a good tale. Always. I have read her stories in several different series and have enjoyed them all immensely. Very well worth the read.

I didn't read the first book so I was a little lost on some of the details, but the story was so thrilling I didn't mind. I can't wait to read more and see what I missed!

Good mystery book

Editing errors
I really enjoyed the second book of this series. The cast of characters, magic ideas and plot tensions were very good. However, there were a number of editing and spelling errors that distracted me from my reading. I'll still be moving on to the next book! I just hope it had a better editor.

In book two, Bailey Robertson is learning how to use her magic powers under the instruction of Chloe, the Bakery Witch. Bailey has some learning to do. She created a spell that almost ruined of her friends marriage. Chloe explained to her she needs to learn the basics before rushing into to perform a spell.
The new owner of the Seven Coes , Touring business. Bailey noticed police cruisers at the business and couldn't believe someone had broken into their office. One of the stone artifacts was missing. Can both Bailey and Aiden help find the stone and place it back into the caves. Who or what wants to know the secret to exploit it to the world.

The second book in the series was a continuation of the story and Bailey working on her witch skills. Someone buys the now closed Cave tour company and Bailey gets her old job back with much better pay. In the day to day life of Bailey, Avery, and Piper, things are changing. And then there is Bailey's new boss, Aiden, who seems to be hiding secrets of his own. Bailey finally shares her secrets with Avery, Piper and her father, and Avery has a secret of his own to share. The three older witches are reluctant to tell Bailey anything and she is clearly frustrated by their lack of help. Despite that, some interesting mysterious happenings are discovered and solutions reached. A very satisfying read. Just make sure you read book 1 first!

June 30, 2016I did not read the first book in series but it was not necessary as can be read alone and background on main character is given in this book. This is a short fairly fast paced story although it goes slowly in the beginning. The main character is still learning to use magic and is still growing into her life and talents. Constance never disappoints. I plan to read the first book and continue to read this series.

Witches and Eizards
Nice mix of magic and cozy mysteries. Characters were believable. There were plot twists and just enough tension and doubt.

Magic stones
As book two of the series opens, Bailey is learning to be a witch and how to use her gift from the women of Grovies Goodies, aka the bakers (also witches) known as Aria, Chloe, and Franscis. She has been working with them since her former boss murdered a woman in the Seven Caves where Bailey had been a tour guide.
Now, a new man in town, Aiden Rivers, has bought Seven Caves and agreed to hire Bailey back at three times the salary that she had been making.
Bailey is suspicious of Aiden. She also doesn't know what to make of the fact that Trevor has bought the local newspaper and that Gloria, the murdered woman's assistant from book one, is still in town. Bailey is chafing under the prohibition of telling anyone she is a witch and about her gift and this has placed a serious strain on her two best friendships.
There is a burglary at the Seven Caves office from the exhibit room of one of the three stones that have to do with opening the magic portal. Bailey is involved in the retrieval of the stone.
These books need some proof reading. The characters are not well fleshed out. We get a little more of the story of the caves. I like the series well enough to continue reading.

I loved the book. Bailey is very inquisitive about her magic and it is frustrating to her too go at such a slow pace, but she is learning. Aiden is a welcome addition in the book and Avery's power is a big surprise.

Still needs to be proofread better, but this was much better than book 1. This book didn't seem as slow as the other one. I enjoyed it very much!
