The author's ease in the classroom comes from his hands-on teaching experience: he's an eighteen-year veteran of elementary and middle schools.
A native of Queens, Martin has lived in northeast Vermont with his family since 1970.

About a monkey who tells you what he likes to eat (bananas, sandwiches) On the last page he says "Worms! Just kidding!"
