Overall it was a pretty enjoyable book if not a little predictable. This volume contained Texas!Lucky, Texas!Chase, and Texas!Sage. I will say that the last two of the trilogy were by far superior to the first. I you choose to skip Texas!Lucky, don't worry, you won't miss much.

There are elements to a romance that make it timeless: good plot lines, family drama, romance, mystery/suspense and humor. The Texas! Tyler Family Saga Series has it all. Although these books were written in the early 1990's, they stand the test of time because they all have the right elements.

Texas! Lucky: I love a good romance and the best ones have either humor or a mystery/suspense. The great ones have both. This oldie has a mystery/suspense which is not surprise as Sandra Brown went on to become one of the very best romantic-suspense authors, ever.

Sometimes playing the "White Knight" can be life changing. When Lucky Tyler defended a stranger, a beautiful redhead, from the unwanted advances of a bully, he had no idea what would happen next. She wouldn't even thank him for risking his life for her. When she walks out of the bar, he follows and, well, a hot one night stand - then she disappears. Lucky was at a loss as to why. On his return home he finds that a fire has destroyed the equipment building and he falls under suspension for setting the fire. The beautiful redhead is now essential for his freedom.

But, Devon Haines has secrets of her own and doesn't want to be found and is not going to willingly be Lucky's alibi. When Lucky finds her, she is torn between what she should do and what she wants, which is more of Lucky. Together they find the Lucky's enemy, now all that stands in his way is Devon's secret. 4-Stars

Texas! Chase: I wasn't in love with this one, even though the romance had a solid suspense/mystery plot. The whole book was a slog through angst, martyr and "I can't love you, the love of my life died" land. It was hard to feel warm fuzzes about either of the main characters. The rating is totally due to the great writing of Sandra Brown. She knows how to move a trite plot along so it isn't too painful.

Marcie Johns’s has been in unrequited love with Chase Tyler since childhood. He barely even knew the quiet nerd existed and Marcie was to self-conscious to try and make him notice her. So, Marcie went on to have a successful real estate career and Chase fell in love, married someone else and lived Happily Ever After. No - that isn't what happened. The love of Chase's life and his unborn child died, in an auto accident with Marcie as the driver, leaving Chase broken and devastated.

When fate crosses their paths, Marcie sees it as a chance to help Chase and in someway assuage the guilt she feels for the tragedy. She finds a way to rescue Chase and the family business, but can Chase ever let go of the love he has for his dead wife. 3 1/2-Stars

Texas! Sage: Mystery can take more than one form. In this book the mystery is all about the stranger who travels from job to job, place to place, helping fix businesses that are in trouble. His past is the mystery in this oldie romance. But, I have to say, his past wasn't all that difficult to guess and it ended up being a cliché too. Still, I enjoyed the ride.

When Sage Tyler experienced the worst moment of her life she is appalled to discover there was a witness. She has just been jilted by her fiancé and now she is face to face with handsome Harlan Boyd, a Tyler Drilling Company employee sent to bring her home. Not a pretty start to this relationship. Sage is beyond humiliated and takes it out on poor Harlan. That he found the whole thing vastly amusing is just another strike against him.

The Tyler Drilling Company is having difficult financial times and Harlan has some ideas on how to turn that around. Educated, but not one to stay in one place very long, Harlan has developed a way use unused drilling equipment for a new purpose. He has never met a woman who could hold his attention for long, until Sage.

Together in their purpose of saving Tyler Drilling, Sage and Harlan set out to find customers for their new endeavor. What they find is a passion for each other and the key to the mystery of Harlan's past. 4-Stars

Overall, close to four stars. I liked Chase the best because it was the the one that affected me the most. Next is Sage, then Lucky. Reading it now in 2017, I'm still charmed by the description of what was considered high tech in the early '90s.

Very good book! Kept me coming back to read more. The last two books were better than the first one. It's pretty predictable, but many of these types of books are.

3 book trilogy, originally published in 1990, 91, 92. These are in a romance time capsule. There are certainly elements that wouldn’t show up in a romance published in 2022, so keep that in mind.

Texas! Lucky is Lucky and Devon’s story. Lucky has “the fastest and busiest zipper in Texas”. Devon is a married virgin.

Texas! Chase is the story of Chase and Marcie. At the end of book 1 Chase’s wife Tonya dies in a car accident. Marcie is driving the car! Tonya was pregnant! How can this possibly work? It’s a rough, emotional ride but I liked it.

Texas! Sage is Sage and Harlan’s book. Sage is Lucky and Chases sister. She was “almost engaged” to a boring doctor. Doc breaks it off and Harlan overheard the whole awkward conversation. Sage holds a mean grudge for a long time until they finally bang it out.

Great book for beach reading. All three stories are full of romance, sexy passion, and intrigue. Each chapter kept me hanging and wanting to read more! These books are not Pulitzer Prize winning stories, but all are fun.

A quick enjoyable & predictable read. This is an earlier work by Brown and thank God she has progressed in her writing over the years. If you want some sizzling romance even when the other language is stiff & dull, then this book works.

A three-books-in-one edition. This was very Texan, pretty corny and predictable, but also an enjoyable read! I would definitely read more of this author if I could find more of hers in the UK.

These did not age well at all. The MCs were all pretty horrible (to each other, but also just as people), and I really didn't care about these relationships. DNF.

When I found out that I had won an ARC book by Sandra Brown, and a signed copy at that, I was ecstatic!
1. I love Sandra Brown and have since I was in high school.
2. I had never read this trilogy before and believe me, I have read almost every SB book I could get my hands on.
I've recently repurchased Breath of Scandal last year because it had left such a lasting impression on me, as one of her first books I read that I wanted to own it again. Sandra Brown was the first "for adults only" book that I remember reading when I was in high school. Before that time I had spent my leisure reading time with books from R.L. Stine, Christopher Pike, ect. What I remember most about her earlier books was that they were more romance centric with some thrills.

Now when I think of Sandra Brown, I think murder/mystery/thriller! Texas!Trilogy is very much the romance read. The Texas!Trilogy is three books put into one volume, which I think it's great because the minute I finished one Tyler sibling's story I got to read the next one. The books are about the Tyler family, mostly the adult children; Chase, the eldest, Lucky, the middle child and Sage, the baby. Even though they grew up in a loving home, with a rambunctious family dynamic they each had their personal flaws and insecurities. Their journeys to find love was vastly different from each other. (So no cookie cutter type story here) Some, like Chase's story, was more emotional and personal and others like Lucky it was just an obstacle that was easily handled. Sage's story was sort of a blend of Chase and Lucky's, IMO.

Personally I enjoyed Texas! Chase & Texas! Sage a lot more than I did Texas! Lucky. Texas!Lucky MCs weren't that interesting to me at first. I honestly thought that the main plot was kind of flimsy and Devon, the female MC, was a little lot naive and gullible. I still love the way Ms Brown explained her way of thinking and why she did the things she did but I still found it to be so... silly. The obstical that was in their way was mostly each other.

Texas!Chase starts off almost a year after Lucky's story and his was a bit darker because of the emotional state with which we find Chase. Though, as all romance readers know, all it takes is the love of a good woman and the men always come around. I did like both MC's right away. I especially would like to note that as dated as some of the machismo thinking and acting was (back when this was written), I liked that the women in these books were independent, smart and didn't really take any crap from their men. It's something that I wish a lot of authors would write for women NOW, especially in the YA side. Anyways, Marcie has always been in love with Chase but being the school nerd and him being the star, she never stood a chance and even though she pined away at him for years she made a life for herself and tried to move forward with that life. Of course when she got the chance to have Chase, the only man she's ever loved, she took the bull by the horns! I loved her class and courage. I was a little disappointed with the last act of the book but mostly because she felt like she had lost her way.

Texas!Sage was an especially fun read for me. I don't know if it's because I could still relate to young Sage trying to prove to herself and her family that she was smart and capable, or that her life felt so open to possibilities. She was a great character to read, though at times I just wanted her to shut up and reign in her temper. LOL. In fact that's an on going joke through out the books. Harlen, the male MC's back story was a mystery all the way till the end and it felt a little anticlimactic when we finally found out what it was. The way that Ms Brown was leading up to it made me feel that it was going to be super dark and emotional but no one can really judge another person's level of pain and what I found to be a rather childish reaction to the events of Harlen's life, I know that I'm thinking of it as a person with completely different experiences and expectations of what my level of pain is.

All in all, I really enjoyed reading these three books. I would recommend any romance reader to read them. I also enjoyed taking a trip back in time and seeing the differences of what main stream American literature found scintillating back in the early 90's and now.

Texas! Serisinin 4.kitaptan oluşuyor. 1. Texas! Lucky (1990) (Yarınlar İçin) 5/3,85 2. Texas! Chase (1991)(Hep Aşk Vardı) 5/3,92 3. Texas! Sage (1991) 5/3,89 4. The Texas! Trilogy (omnibus) (1992) 5/4,15 İlk üç kitapta Tyler Kardeşlerin hikayeleri olduğu bu seri goodreadsta iyi puan almış olduğunu görüyorum.. Yarınlar içinde Tyler Kardeşlerden Lucky'nin hikayesi vardı..Ağabeyi Chase'in hikayesini okuduğum ikinci hikayenin kurgusu daha güzeldi....

Hulya YILMAZ

Brown combines work, home, and romance in a seamless manner to present a realistic view of life. The intricate plot combined with the twists and turns of fate kept me hooked throughout.

Lucky is handsome and lucky(thus the nickname) with the ladies, lucky finds himself in a mess. the company is in danger of going under, and there is a fire on their property destroying equipment they need. the police accuse lucky of setting the fire and he must prove his innocence. all this while "getting lucky" with his future wife.

Chase Tyler, is a guy we feel for when he looses everything and everyone close to him, but his stubbornness to reach out to others also make us want to hate him. When a woman from his past re-enters his life, who by the way was driving the car that killed his wife, the hate is on or is it love? She will do anything to save him and his company from going under including loving him, but will Chase take her up on the offer or will he drown in his self pity? You have to read it.

Sage really comes into her own as a character. Brown has developed her character in such a way that its easy to understand and empathize with her. Match her with an alpha type, very caring male lead and you have a fantastic couple to get to know.

Great saga! Finally a trilogy that didn't use the same formula and just enter in different characters. Every sibling had their own issues and we didn't see a thoroughly happily ever ending until the end of the trilogy when little Sage was finally married to the man of her dreams. Great book if you are looking for romance without the hard core erotica.....not that there is anything wrong with that. The adult themes are still very evident and I love the way Faith in God overrides the entire work. Just because you are a believer doesn't mean that you are perfect and the Tyler family hit it right in the head.

This is a trilogy about Chase, Lucky & Sage Tyler. I haven't listened to this book but I have listened to Texas Chase. I stopped reading romance novels a long time ago but like a "little" romance among the mystery books I like to read. If it's too much, it ruins the book. This is a fairly good romance story with a "little" bit of mystery. Maybe the full story is better but doubt it.

I listened to the CD Audio of Texas Chase but there was no way to add it to "My Books" as it is not listed.

This is three stories of three people, two brothers and their sister, all from Texas, of course. This was originally three different books, one for each sibling, then republished into one book. I enjoyed these stores very much. Would recommend to all my friends. So fun to see how these "wild" boys end up married and finally settle down to be great husbands and fathers. The story of their little sister, who has the same temperment as her brothers, was hard to put down until the end. It took a good man to tame her. Read this if you like love stories and wild Texans.

I enjoy reading stories that revisit characters and this was 3 books in one. I thought the interaction between the siblings was great! I felt there was a little too much sadness and drama in the stories but I do enjoy Sandra Brown books and this was no exception.
