Book of short stories from a wide range of authors. If you're looking for a Max Lucado book, look elsewhere. Range of philosophies here, diverse authors, didn't always like their angle on the verse, but overall interesting book. Three stars because I just couldn't get into the short story jumping of topics, but if your into those, then likely higher for you.
A nice little devotional with sections in good amounts for daily reading. Took me about a month to finish it. A wide variety of authors contributed. I will probably read this again at some point.
I would have liked to have given this book a 4-star rating, but was a bit hesitant because I know that some of the authors have joined the "not-so-new-age", emergent, contemplative, mystical trend in the Body of Christ. I prayed for discernment each time I picked up this book. That considered, I cannot wholeheartedly recommend it.
I read this book slowly because I wanted to read one chapter per day. I wanted to concentrate on each lesson and let it settle in my soul before moving on. So this was part of my spiritual reading for Lent 2017. I found the lessons to be challenging and uplifting at the same time. Good spiritual reflections for those readers wanting to grow in their faith.
