This book is the first volume in a hoped for, multi-volume set. It is whole heartedly dedicated to the poets that populate the We Write Poetry Group founded by DE Navarro on LinkedIn [www.linkedin.com]. These writers are dedicated to the art of keeping poetry alive and well; yanking their poetic children kicking and screaming into existence; a struggling birth to be sure, but one well worth the effort. We acknowledge that there are other poetry groups - on LinkedIn and across the globe. It seems that the harder the politicians try to quell and suppress the arts, the arts, like life, will find a way. I, as compiler of and contributor to this book, salute these intrepid explorers, these Rorschach blot artists, those who treat their canvas with respect, and 'paint' it with a glorious palette of unimaginable colors.
