This is a moving paranormal novella second chance romance. Following the death of her mother at the hands (or claws!) of a rogue bear shifter, diamond empire heiress Aurora Starr is taken away from her home in Claw Ridge by her vengeful father. Her father became a cold hearted business man, striving to ruin the bear shifters and to keep his daughter away from her teen love, the bear shifter, Adam Wylde. Following his funeral, however, Aurora has a final task to fulfil for her father - to scatter his ashes at Starr Point on Claw Ridge and discover the truth. The attraction between Adam and Aurora is still there, he still recognises her as his mate but time has passed, can they rekindle their romance or has her father’s negative attitude to shifters changed hers, too? When the two are trapped by an avalanche will their love have a second chance to achieve their HEA?
This is a delightful, quick but packed read, with some great characters. Aurora is aware that returning to Claw Ridge makes it very likely she’ll meet her old sweetheart and is wary to do so but sassy enough to go anyway. She doesn’t know if he’s moved on to someone new and forgotten about her. I loved how resilient Adam proves to be, determined to woo her - especially as werebear mating season approaches!
This is a great start to the new series within a series. If you enjoy your romance with strong Alpha shifters with a real caring heart or a brilliant second chance romance, this is a great story for you. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters in this Den - I can’t wait to read more in the near future!

Aurora sure was a sassy thing, “oh, God. Your clothes. You need something to wear. You’ll freeze. Although, from the looks of it nothing on you...”Aurora paused midsentence long enough to draw her eyes to his, “... looks affected by the cold.” I liked Adam he was relentless he didn't give up.

I actually had to stop this book in the middle and go back to it the next day, which I never do. The phrasing was awkward, like the author had multiple thoughts and tried to shove them all together, and it wasn't cleaned up in editing. The biggest issue, though, was that the story didn't flow well and things kept happening without any explanation or transition. I would be reading and find myself wondering WTF was happening. The story had a lot of potential, but it really needed a good beta reader and editor.

I have found my favorite shifter!
Adam Wylde is wandering alone until she comes back into his life and sparks the line of hope that he has to hold onto. She walked away from him before and left him heartbroken and alone. Coming to grips with what has recently happened in her life is what puts in motion the meeting they have. Will she leave again?
Aurora Starr, princess and heir to a diamond fortune also the holder of Adam Wyldes heart. Knowing full well she will see him when she goes back to her old hometown is a risk she has to take seeing as how her father’s last wish was for her to do just that.
Being ripped apart from someone outside of the relationship is a hard pill to swallow, did they meet someone new? What if they forgot me? all these questions come into play after time has passed but can true love exist and persevere over all of it?
I truly liked this one and I can’t wait to read more in this series.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review
I LOVED this story of Adam and Aurora, Aurora's dad has a heart colder then the "ice" he mines all from a very tragic accident with his wife, I caused him to uproot his daughter not only from her home but the boy she loves, For five years Adam has been without his true mate, when he sees her again he knows it is because of a tragedy but he and his Bear are going g into the mating heat, he "needs" Aurora, he needs to mate her and claim her but he fights it. This was so good and I can't wait to read Everett's story! And if I remember right there are 5 more Wylde brothers can't wait!

This is a fairly quick, sexy read about Aurora and Adam getting a second chance at happily ever after. Aurora goes back to Alaska after her father's death to spread his ashes on their mountain, doing so brings her back in contact with the were bear she left behind after her mother's death was caused by a bear shifter. During the aftermath of an avalanche, they are trapped in a cave and finally slow down enough to talk about their pasts. This is as I said a cute, sexy, sweet read that ends with the couple getting their HEA, with her father's blessing. I recieved a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this story and am looking forward to the rest of the brothers stories as well. Aurora has returned to Alaska to spread her fathers ashes. Adam is a grizzley shifter who has known she is his mate for years. Why did she disappear without a trace? Does her return offer them a second chance? this is a must read 5 star story. I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A short sexy read that left me wanting more of the Wylde brothers. Aurora and Adam were perfect for each other - and I'm glad that they were able to make their way back together. Overall a well written story that gives you enough of the world around them to follow along and just enough to leave you wanting more.
I absolutely love this series and can't wait to read more by Ms. Perkins.

Bear His Mark attracted me to it by its alluring cover. I enjoyed how she described every scene. I felt like I was there with the characters.
I wanted there to be more action, adventure or other characters. In the beginning, there were a few. I was stuck in cave with two people who didn't have much of a storyline aside from sex. There were also several editing mistakes as if the editor rushed through it. Transitions weren't that great.

Fast short story - seems to pick up from another book, but quickly fills in more background without being obvious! Aurora and Adam waited a long time for each other - and both suffered for it!! Her father separated them when her mother died - but they were made for each other - Book was way too short!!!!

Aurora has to go to Alaska to honor her dead fathers wishes to scatter his ashes. Her first true love Adam finds her as she gets to own. Adam has to go out on a rescue from an avalanche. Can Adam and Aurora find love again? I highly recommend this book and wish it was longer. Great characters and plot

I give this book a 3.5 stars. This is a second chance romance between a human female named Aurora and bear shifter named Adam. Aurora left Claw Ridge when her father took her away after her mother was murdered. Her father, on his deathbed, required she return to Claw Ridge. Aurora and Adam find their love never vanished. They get their happily ever after.

Adam and Aurora together again after 5 years apart, still have hot fireworks cheimstry. This is a very fast cute story. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I received this for a honest review. I truly found this a heartwarming story but I am not going to tell you why. There is a couple a reason I say that but you need to read the book to find out.
Aurora Starr find herself at there father’s funeral. The way I looked at her father when first reading the book was very cold. You have to wonder how a father can put his daughter through some of the things he did. It seemed after her mother’s death her father’s heart became ice. He hated shifters and did not want his daughter having anything to do with them. Her father let her know pretty quick that they were untrustworthy. This at some point ripped Aurora’s heart into. She had fallen in love with a shifter and knew she could never been with him.
Adam Wylde was a bear shifter. He had known that Aurora was his mate. Due to her father’s interference they were not together. Now here he is running into her after her father’s death. He had to wonder what she was up to. His brothers was not making it easy either.
Aurora finds herself trying to fulfill her father’s last wishes. It was hard running into Adam again but when she finds herself in trouble she was probably happy to see him. Things will get hot and heavy between these two and Aurora will have some important decisions to make. Will she take her father’s advice or give into the love that she feels for Adam?

This story was great! There was a huge build-up to the ending. I loved that I got completely lost in this story and forgot that it was a just a novella. Talina Perkins did a great job with her descriptions and letting her reader get lost in the story.

Bear his Mark by Talina Perkins is the first book in the Wilde Den series telling the story of childhood sweethearts separated by an overprotective Daddy. This was my least favourite of the Alaskan den men mini series so far. I struggled to connect with the characters in this short story. Aurora was a little too passive accepting her fathers rule too easily as a teenager, leaving Adam and then only returning when her father died 5 years after his initial edict and only then to fulfil his final wishes. I really liked Adam's character the hot alpha wear bear pining for his lost love. 3 stars

Adam and Aurora are smoking hot together.
Adam and Aurora were separated by a tragic event a few years prior, but events from the past don’t stand a chance against what these two have. As hot as they were together, their relationship was also sweet and I loved that. Bear His Mark was a great story and a great introduction to the Wylde Den Series!
