As a first issue, The Deep did a pretty good job introducing characters and building the plot. We’re introduced to a family that has a submarine of sorts that can dive deep into the ocean with ease. Apparently the father of the family is obsessed with old maps, particularly one that points to the fact that there could be extremely dangerous creatures in the ocean. I won’t go into more because it will spoil where the rest of this issue goes; however, I enjoyed the characters. The family dynamic is pretty interesting and I’m curious in seeing where this story goes.
(Spoilerish) I Really enjoyed this. Excited to read more of their adventures, great concept. Fascinated by Atlantis myself and just the underwater world we know so little about. Loved the artwork too!
