13 books161 followersI'm Leigh Stone, I live in Northern Ireland, just outside the capital city of Belfast, in a house I share with my teenage daughter, and our personal zoo (1 Labrador mix, 3 cats, and 2 rabbits!).
I'm first and foremost a reader, and a fast reader at that, often devouring books in a single sitting over a period of hours. I have always had aspirations to write and become a published author, but as a teenager I was encouraged to look for a different profession, as being an author "wouldn't pay the bills."
It was that reading that lead a friend of mine to suggest that I had read so many of those books that I could probably write my own! It seemed like a good idea, and I thought that I would give it a try :) a few months later Lex's Melody was well underway, and the rest as they say is history!

Well, i know we're at the beginning of 2015 but i'm pretty sure i won't read a hotter book than this one!
Passion, love, friendship, dedication, super hot sex, you name it this book has it!
I really feel in love this these characters.
Alex is an enigma. He has a dominant personality, but you'll see as you read that this book isn't a typical BDSM book. Yes, there are a lot of elements of sexual domination, but this book also has a softer side than just plain sex.

Mel is a special character. You won't see nothing bitchy in her. I dare to say that she isn't a typical female LOL. She has an understanding for everyone, compassion and empathy. Really refreshing character. She's yin to Alex's yang. They complete each other in a way that other people couldn't. When you put them together, you put a perfect pieces of puzzle.

I also loved Mel's relationship with her friends. Like i said, Mel isn't a typical female. She has her group of guy friends who support her in everything. I really hope that each one of them gets their own book. It would be really nice to see world from their perspective.
Love between Alex and Mel didn't happened immediately. It was a slow process and it was really nice reading about their emotions.

Absolutely loved this book, For her first book it's amazing, Everyone should read this, I'm jumping straight into Melodic Minor, Thank you so much for writing this Leigh it's amazing. Love Alex ;) can't wait to see what happens next for them.

This is the debut novel by Leigh Stone and for the love of all things sexy, I hope she keeps writing. Her development of relationships and characters is wonderfully done. The writing and plot line are tight and the sex is HOT! What more can you ask from an erotic romance novel? Be warned that there are BDSM scenes but they enhance the storyline and the developing romantic relationship. This is book one of a series and while there is a HFN here, there is the promise of bigger and better things for the couple in the companion novella. As soon as I finished Lex's Melody I was ready for more of the story in Melodic Minor.
I will be first to admit that it took me a bit to warm up to Alex. At first, he seems cold and aloof. As his backstory unfolds the reader cannot help but fall in love with him. The attraction between Alex and Melody is instantaneous and sizzling. Both main characters have pasts that cause them to want an emotion free relationship. Fate and Cupid may have other plans. Each main character has at least one close friend or supporter. Alex has his personal assistant, Juliet and his sister, Emily. His sister is quite a spitfire and is not afraid to let her brother know when he has screwed up, which he often does. Melody has her best friend, Jonny and her school friends. This is the first book i have read by Leigh Stone. I dont read very many BDSM books but i really enjoyed reading Lex's Melody. Alex is a dominant that has suffered badly from a past relationship, so he uses his dominance of submissives to keep them at arms length and by doing so they can never get close to him and break his heart until he meets Melody on an online dating site. She becomes his submissive who is eager to please "Master Lex" in all he commands her to do. As their relationship grows neither one of them will admit that it has become something more than just sexual between them. There is heartbreak and happiness as they overcome issues from Alex's past. This book is full of hot descriptive sex and not for anyone who likes light and sweet romances! I liked this story so much i am already reading the next book in the series.

Nice read.
He has a bad thing happening with a relationship in his past and since that moment he can't trust women anymore. He only wants a submissive and no relationship till he meets Melody.
She wants just some fun, because she is in her last year of her studies.
But they begin to feel some more for each other and the troubles begin.
I have to say there are some sexy scenes in the book, but the submission could be more.
I did like them going to Dublin and reading about familiar places there. Brings back good memories

The sex scenes were well written, very hot. I kept hoping for a story to develop; however, what I got was sex scene after sex scene connected by a few paragraphs. I love a good romance with lots of sex, but this was too much, even for me.

Lex's Melody has been sitting on my kindle for too long so was very excited to get round to reading it and it did not disappoint!
Alex was instantly drawn to me (because he's a bit of a control freak!) and because of the way he was treated by his first love. His inability to let anyone in and needs to keep people at a distance through his 'control' and need to 'dominate' in every sense of the word ;)
When Alex meets Melody the attraction is immediate and the pair have no issues in seeing where this takes them....but what a journey it would be. Hot, steamy and generally cold shower inducing ;)
This alone would have rated it a five star for me....but the story?! It was awesome. The journey the pair take in getting to know one another, the anxieties of Alex being hurt again or just them both recognising their feelings but showing one another this rather than saying it.
Melody and Alex are perfect together and the sex is undeniably brilliant - well let's not beat about the bush here...it's the best the pair have had. They fit each other like a glove and if I could have sped them up to get together and knock down any walls the pair had, I would have, but it wouldn't have shown the brilliant story Leigh Stone had given us. When disaster strikes, I honestly feared for Alex. Returning to his shell and in despair after a misinterpretation, would Melody disappear from his life?
The ecstatic joy and dirty weekends were simply brilliant, the hurt and pain inducing lows are incredible also. A brilliantly written book that I couldn't put down. I am beyond excited to read the next installment of the Belfast Bound series.
On the steam meter a definite ten out of ten...and in "Bookland" ratings another brilliant 5* rating!

If BDSM bothers you then don't read but if you like it holy cow does Leigh Stone write it well. Meet Alex Matthews a handsome dominate who doesn't date. His only desire is to have submissives until they start to want more then he's done. Meet Melody a college student who is only looking to have a good time. They meet on a dating website and hit it off right away. Alex suggests she submit to him at thier first face to face meeting and she's actually says yes. Soon they both crave the submission and dominance that the other provides. Slowly they develop feelings for each other but are both afraid to admit it because of thier past.
The passion between these two is off the charts hot. Ladies be prepared to wish Alex would dominate you and expect some pretty intense panty melting scenes. Lex's Melody is full of hot sex scenes right from the very beginning. Poor Alex is so haunted by his past that he can't allow himself to feel his feelings for Melody. Melody is so afraid Alex will run if she expresses hers. How can this D/S relationship ever become more if the two people involved can't get over thier fears? As a reader who loves a HEA this was frustrating for me because I wanted to smack them both at different times in the book. They have some much in common and enjoy themselves outside the bedroom yet they won't allow each other to express it. Will they both allow themselves to express and feel thier feelings before it's too late? Can Alex say screw it to his past and move into his future with Melody or will it be too late?
Leigh Stone's debut is off the charts hot, enough angst to get your emotions going, and frustration with the characters. I love when a book makes my emotions go all over the place. Can't wait to see what's next from Leigh Stone.

This book was given to me for an honest review.
I had no clue what this book was going to entail, but it was a good ride. You meet two people who both want a d/s relationship and to not have emotions play out. But that never happens in a case like that. I loved the idea of a dating site bringing the two characters together, as you don't see it very often. Melody is a strong, capable and independent woman outside the bedroom, but inside she likes to be dominated. Leigh has shown you what a relationship like this could entail. Whereas Alex is an alpha male who had his heart broken in the past so turns to dominance to avoid getting hurt again. Alex had many sides to his character, but I loved his soft and sensitive side the best! It shows that d/s relationships have that tenderness and loving care given that makes your heart feel joy.
As this book is about a d/s relationship, the sex is hot. A lot of the book is the sex scene or role play, but you can't help but want to know more about Alex and Melody.
For me, the book was a little slow to start with, as it took a while to settle with the authors writing style, but I enjoyed the book overall, and loved the story near the end of the book. A way to improve the book for me is to have a little less sex and more of a flowing story and background information on the characters and some of the supporting characters. There were a fee spelling mistakes, but it doesn't take anything away from the book.

Lex's Melody has been on my to read list for months, in fact since it was released, and I only just got around to starting it just before the novella Melodic Minor was released (which I will be reading soon!)
The only other BDSM book I have read to date is Fifty Shades and in all honesty, I wasn't really all that taken by it so I have been kind of wary of reading others in the same kind of genre.
I have to admit I wasn't so sure on the start of Alex & Melody's relationship, I thought the way it started and progressed was a little quick - but after a couple of chapters I could just see they were meant for each other. The sexual scenes were like, so hot, and so well written, almost making you want to be in on the scene!
Alex has a hurtful past which we aren't let into immediately, but it has made him a dominant and the way he is, someone who usually runs at the first sign of becoming anything more than a Master (Lex).
Melody falls completely in love with him and changes him - though he doesn't want to admit it and he almost tears their relationship apart when he realises he is getting too close. Something tragic happens though and Alex regrets the way he has treated Mel. Will she ever forgive him, and will they have their happy ever after?
This is one that made me cry, for Mel, and for Alex's past as I could relate. A definite five star read from me.

A fantastic erotic novel coming from the very talented and extremely awesome and sinful mind of Leigh Stone a Northern Irish native. In Lex's Melody she manages to not only incorporate the lovely and recognisable landscapes of Belfast city into a super sensual storyline reminiscent of F.S.O.G with Alex our stern architect and Melody our intelligent student as the central characters but Leigh also manages to captivate her audience with her smooth style of writing and brilliant characterisation of not only the main players but the side characters as well delivering plenty of comedic moments as well as heartfelt.
It may be a familiar concept in this day and age of the Dom/Sub relationship but Leigh has given the concept her own unique spin and executed a well thought out and beautifully written book and in foreign terrain no less, not a London or New York skyscraper in sight.
I was excited when I heard this gem of a book was coming out as not only is Leigh local to me but Belfast was a local playground for my student days. Leigh did not disappoint me in the least. *OH MY LORD!!!*
Before I read this book I got to see some teasers for it and it intrigued me. I had a feeling I was going to like this book. No...I fell in love with this book! It is so well written that the story just flows. What starts off as some dirty sex play, turns into a awesome love story that is not mushy. Leigh's writing style sucked me in and I had a hard time getting out! lol
If an author can get your heart pumping (and not during the sex scenes!), give you anxiety, laugh, and make you yell, "Are you f*cking kidding me!"; she has done her job! I actually woke my husband up with the latter at 1 in the morning with him asking what's wrong! and me going oh nothing..shhh..go back to sleep..i'm trying to read and him mumbling something about crazy blah blah. Nice twist by the way! Not to give a spoiler..I will just say that for two pages i was ready to have a hissy fit (not in a good way lol)and then by the third page of this part I was saying you ingenious bitch!! That is how good this book is.
*If you cannot handle kinky (okay it is more than kinky lol) sex scenes do not read.* If you are down with that then this is a must on your reading list! You will not be disappointed. I cannot wait for more by Leigh Stone!

Leigh you are awesome. I couldn't put this book down, I didn't til I was done. Alex is pure hot alpha dominate male that I could take home to meet my parents he's perfect and his mouth, omg I had to fan myself.
Melody and Alex meet through internet dating and what a surprise they got when they finally meet in person it's explosive. He's into bdsm and she want to submit to him. Melody let's lex push her limits with Adam.Things take off from here on out, the sex omg the sex is hot but most importantly we see a love story unfold. Alex has been hurt, betrayed so he vailed to never fall in love again, but the heart wants what it wants, but lex doesn't fill he deserves her but when a mis understanding gives him an easy out he takes it, is something he really wants? Has he missed up the best thing that's ever happen to him? I fell in love from the very first page and every page after. Can't wait for more and would even like to see a story on Johny and Juliet. 5 out 5 definitely a must read.

Alex has been hurt, betrayed so he vailed to never fall in love again, but the heart wants what it wants, but lex doesn't fill he deserves her but when a mis understanding gives him an easy out he takes it, is something he really wants? Has he missed up the best thing that's ever happen to him? I fell in love from the very first page and every page after. Can't wait for more and would even like to see a story on Johny and Juliet. 5 out 5 definitely a must read.

Hot, sexy read - 3.5 stars! Melody is a student who goes on an internet date and meets architect Alex. They have some immediate chemistry, Mel has her brave on, and tells him she likes her partner to take control. Alex is intrigued - it turns out he's a Dom. As in most of these book, he can't offer her anything other than sex, he doesn't do relationships, blah, blah, blah, and she agrees. And, of course over time they develop stronger feelings for each other, but are reluctant to move past their original agreement. Even if they are moving past it by going on dates. I liked both Alex (aka Master Lex) and Mel and they had good chemistry together. The sex scenes were great - mild BDSM with bondage and spanking, but ...dare I say it!... there were too many of them. After awhile they stopped adding to the quality of the book and just added to the quantity. The last part of the book was very good and it had a great ending. I'm looking forward to reading about the other characters....sounds like maybe Jonny and Julie might have something goin' on?

This is a real corker of a debut by this fabulous author. I am telling you now, read this whilst immersed in an ice cold bath....it's seriously HOT!! Like finger licking, salivating, tingalinging....HOT!!! However, if you push aside all that hot mamma sauce that are the gloriously graphic sex scenes, there's a real story there that will grip your heart and have you on the edge of your tush. I LOVE the divine Alex, if you peel away his alter ego, Master Lex, there is a man who will weaken you at the knees. Then there is Melody who is sassy, witty and strong....I want to meet her, we can share a cola together. The supportive characters are a welcomed addition to the story of Alex and Mel, too. The banter between them all is hilarious! I need to find out where these great guys all hang out! So, for me...Lex's Melody is a fabulous five star read. Superbly written, wonderfully descriptive and a sensational sizzler....what's not to love??? I am very much looking forward to read what this talented author comes up with next. A DEEEEEELISH DEBUT!!!

Leigh Stone’s Lex’s Melody is marvelously written! The flow of the story was effortless to follow and the characters were true to life. The sex scenes were graphic, yet the underlying love story stands out and is the most memorable. Leigh Stone does a wonderful job of introducing the reader to a variety characters and sets up the reader for the next novel.
I enjoyed reading this book and would highly recommend it to anyone!

I rec'd an ARC of this wonderful , amazing, and most tantalizing story every from from the author. In exchange for an honest opinion/ This is mousiey very honest opinion of her book. Lex's Melody grabs you from from the first page. Ms Stone has a way with writing this story- it is a dom/sub . And so very good and sexy. Mel is a college student ans decides and to have a little fun. She meets Alex and agrees to let become his submission. He doesn't want anything wlse as he he got hurt in his past. Can he over come his past and learn to trust Mel. What really happens between them?? Ms Stone set the heat and fire between Mel and Alex/ They want each so much and often they have a hard time keeping their hand off each other. The cover of this amazing book is fantastic it makes you want to read the book and draws ypu into the book. I recommend this book for everyone over the age of 18 and love romance and BDSM. Lex and Melody connect through a dating service and are immediately attracted to each other. They also find that they are both into dominance and submission and agree to an arrangement of friends with benefits. Both are fearful of taking things further due to previous relationships. Lex has a crazy bunny boiling ex and Mel has issues of her own. They are enjoying what they have together for now. Total insta-kink. Acting out fantasies both in and out of the bedroom. Scorching hot. Alex is all kind of delicious naughty talking bossy man. Sexiest private dancer as well. I also loved Mel's guy friends. Would love to read more about them. Then something happens that makes both of them think about how they feel about each other and changes everything. I loved every bit of Lex and Melody's story.

I enjoyed this debut novel by Leigh Stone. Melody and Alex meet online, Melody unaware of Alex's sexual proclivities, that he is in fact a dominant known as Master Lex. It seems the couple were actually made for each other, as Melody is not adverse to being submissive and they begin a passionate and heated arrangement that starts to develop into something more. Master Lex became a dominant for a reason though, events in his past have led him to be mistrustful of women and of forming any emotional attachments, but Melody is affecting him like no one before. Can he work through his issues and become the man that Melody needs and deserves? Well written with some very steamy scenes, particularly the hotel scenario during a weekend away. Much as I love my erotica, if anything I would have liked a little less sex and more of their respective stories, but a very enjoyable read.

I'm not keen on erotica because there is only so many books you can read before you feel like you're reading everything again but by someone else, but Leigh Stone changed it up and made this an amazing story.
It has a lot of hot sex and twists and turns that you don't expect and it had my eyes brimming with tears.

About a guy named Alex, who is hurt really badly by an ex. He is shy about fomented relationships and hides behind being the Dom in them. He meets Mel or Melody her full name. Who is getting over a relationship herself and not looking for anything special. When these two collide, Sparks and fire will insure that the sheets will set themselves on fire! If you love lots of sex scenes and Dom/sub roughness you got it. Will they be able to get over their fears or will they get in the way of it before it all comes together.

this is the first book I have read by Leigh Stone and love reading BDSM so really was looking forward to it. There is so much passion, love, loyalty, friendship and so so much heat you really can't help loving how the characters and scenes are written into this. It isn't all sex scenes there is a gradual love story as it starts as just fun but progresses into a really good story that has sucked you in. Can't wait for next one.....

LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT. There is nothing i can fault in the book. If you are a prude this book is not for you lol. Its sexy hot HAWT especially chapter 19 ;), strong characters (I fell in lust with Master Lex but fell in love with Alex) and just an all round fantastic read. Can't wait to read more by Leigh Stone. She is one talented writer.
