#3 in the Peggy O'Neill, university campus cop mystery series set in an unnamed university and surrounding city in what is probably Minnesota. A poisoned apple, seemingly meant for the university's most unpopular VIP, killed a young blond coed been The local police believe outspoken professor Edith Siberman is the culprit. The story follows campus security officer O'Neill's effort to uncover the killer and, along the way, exposes a somewhat corrupt culture within top university officials.

Great story. Smart campus cop, list of possible suspects, with an easy to follow storyline that keeps a person guessing. Excellent series.
