This is like the Cliff Notes for the Bible. Very simple layout, each book explained by theme, period, summary, where to find popular sections, etc. Two thumbs up!

So informative for beginners wanting to read the Bible

I have tried reading the Bible many times in the past but always got discouraged because I felt I couldn't understand what was being said or going on. The way Jim George breaks down each piece of the Bible is extraordinary. I enjoyed reading his synopsis and then going to the Bible to read passages and fully understanding what was taking place and being said. Knowing the authors of each book and the historical background at the time was a great help to me. I will read this book again just to really absorb the information even more.
