Those 7 References: A Study of 7 References to Homosexuality in the Bible

Rate this book
This book is meant to add another voice to the ongoing discussion of the place of homosexuality and homosexual relationships in the experience of the Church. The expectation and dream of this work is to give voice and hope to those who have been abused by the misuse of scripture, allowing God's voice to be heard in these passages in ways that have been silenced for many generations.

A scholarly and exegetical approach to the seven references to homosexuality in the Bible. Regardless of your position on the issue, it is worth a read as the Church continues to deal with the question: Can you be Gay and Christian?

An understatement to say how disappointing it was to see a fellow member of the clergy put confusion out there amongst those struggling with the impact of same gender attractions on their life.

One star in my rating of this book for the author actually writing this book (book-review) given i myself have yet to write one.

The other star in the rating is for the endnotes. I have most of the books the author referenced but he did put a lot of research into this for the task of taking scholarly truths and twisting them to cover up the falsehoods and doubts he put upon the word of God.

Perhaps my first book should be one that refutes this one. We shall see.

For a more insightful scholarly book i highly recommend Gagnon on this topic.
