While the book was not written as a professional writer might, I felt like the author was talking to me throughout the book. It was a detailed description of the joys and tribulations of being a parent to an autistic child. So inspiring!
This book provides a small glimpse into the heartaches and joys of raising an autistic child. It also highlights the uphill struggles parents of autistic children have in getting their children the training and education they need to reach their full potential. With an ever-growing number of children being diagnosed as autistic, it's likely that most readers know someone personally whose family is touched by autism, but this book gives more insight into what it's really like for those families. Although the family in this story is Israeli, I suspect the challenges and emotions they've experienced are somewhat universal.
Wonderful written by a person who knows the thankfullness, difficulties, and happiness with the delight o f a child with this disorder. My grandson is autism child and we love him so much . an
This story is about both acceptance and courage. A young family struggles while learning to accept a son with autism and to fight for the education and care, he deserves.
Any exceptional book that touches your heart from the start, drawing you into the lives of this family that embrace life with their autistic child. They find a balance to life that often seems impossible. As they are faced with new struggles daily, they may feel overwhelmed, but in the end they never give up trying and it pays off.
Great read. A few spelling and grammatical errors but very interesting. I would liked to have learned more ways to get through to an autistic child because a friend of mine has an autistic son.
This book describes a family strong in love and patience. Their autistic son has changed their lives and anyone they know. This book helped understand the importance accepting everyone as a person with feelings and equality.
