Honestly, It's much quicker and more effective to learn the ropes by watching the Unity tutorial videos/youtube tutorials. This is my general view of all introductory-level programming books or books for feature summaries of a framework/API.
Still, all the features are well explained with code samples for specific usage scenarios. If you learn more by reading rather than watching and have the extra time to spare you'll value this book, I'm just not that guy.
