Do you love alpha warriors haunted by dark pasts? Do vampires, shifters and fae make your night? Meet Mastyr Vampire Stone, a hunky warrior in desperate need of a worthy woman…

Mastyr Vampire Stone wants to bond with Aralynn, his battle partner, until he learns she lives a double life as a woman he despises…

For hundreds of years, Stone has lived a solitary life, serving Tannisford Realm as he battles the deadly Invictus wraith-pairs with his Vampire Guard. In recent weeks, he’s run missions with a beautiful wolf named Aralynn. Mortally wounded by the Ancient Fae, Aralynn saves Stone’s life and one taste of her healing blood confirms she’s a blood rose. He’s all set to bond with her when he learns she lives a double life as a woman he despises. But how can he cut Aralynn off when her blood calls to him like nothing he’s ever known before?

Rosamunde experienced the first real freedom of her thousand years of life when Davido the Wise taught her how to transform into Aralynn, a perfect battle partner for Mastyr Stone. But how was she to know that fighting wraith-pairs beside the Mastyr would incite every suppressed desire she’s ever had? Worse, she carries three secrets, each one of which has the power to sever her relationship with him forever. How can she earn his trust, when she’s lied to him and deceived him the whole time she’s served beside him?

I confess I've had a love affaire with vampires for several years now, especially warrior vampires, the kind found in the books of Sherrilyn Kenyon, Lara Adrian and JR Ward. Though I've been published in Regency Romance under the pseudonym Valerie King--and yes one of my Regency Novellas features a vampire--one day I woke up knowing I had to create my own contemporary world of the warrior vampire.

For some mystical, magical reason, early in the process, my vampires appeared with enormous beautiful wings and it has been the most amazing experience to include flight in my novels, in both battle scenes and scenes involving spectacle. My special vampire world, published by St. Martin's Press, is introduced in the first book called, ASCENSION (12-28-2010). The second book, BURNING SKIES (May of 2011), opens up the world a little bit more. And even as I write this, I'm on the final draft of my third novel, WINGS OF FIRE (September of 2011). What a thrill it has been to live with my ascended vampires through the creation of this extraordinary, multi-dimensional world!

For more information about my unique take on the vampire mythos, check out my website at carisroane.com and my book release video on YouTube by putting in the search phrase, Caris Roane Ascension.

With every hope you'll enjoy reading my books set in the World of Ascension, All my best, Caris Roane

I started this last night and can't quite believe that I've finally finished this series set in the Nine Realms. It's been quite a journey but I do feel the author has done justice to her characters with this the final book. Am I sad? Well a little as we do get vampires with unusual abilities in this series but seeing everything and indeed everyone come together for one last fabulous battle makes it all worth while .
The final instalment catches up with Queen Rosamunde of the fae and for a thousand years she has been forced to watch the Nine Realms being torn apart by her aunt. Rosamunde has recently learnt how to transform her appearance and now fights beside Mastyr Stone but he has no idea the female he trusts and longs for is actually the Queen he hates. Stone sees Rosamunde as a lazy coward and has no idea of the pain and suffering she has endured but things are coming to ahead and the ancient fae Margetta has one last cunning plan up her sleeve.
I will say no more about the plot except to say it's a lot longer than other books in this series so really allowed the characters to be put well and truly through the mill! Lots of action here but also lots of saucy times too as this passionate couple learn more about each other but it's not an easy journey for them. Secrets have a way of coming out and it's not always easy to understand the reasons behind actions taken or not taken as the case may be . What was a delight was discovering so much more about a character who is usually on the periphery but alas my lips are sealed!
This was emotional at times and full of action. I felt it answered many of my questions and of course I do love a happy ending!
I was so lucky to be gifted a copy of this and happily give this honest review

The last book in the series was the best way to end it all. I loved the characters, I loved the plot, I loved the emotional turmoil they both go through, and the final conflict and battle with Margetta was perfectly well written. There isn't anything I didn't like about this book. It was passionate and full of emotion. It was delicious and delightful to read. I really liked the two main characters. They were strong and well written. The obstacles they faced were well plotted out and executed. There isn't anything I didn't like about this last book in the series.
Rosamunde is the stand-in Queen of Ferrenden Peace. She was never supposed to be Queen, but when her moth dies when she is 9 she steps up and takes on the responsibilities--to make sure Margetta never finds and gets into Ferrenden Peace.  To do that she makes sure the mist that surrounds the whole city stays strong and it causes Ferrenden Peace to become a myth to the rest of the Nine Realms.  A thousand years later Ferrenden Peace is rediscovered.  The Mastyrs of the Nine Realms all come to speak with her and Stone is quickly disgusted with the fact that she has done nothing but enjoy castle life. He believes she has had the power to destroy Margetta and never did. He believes her a coward and she can't tell him the truth.
Aralynn is a wolf shifter that is also half Fae. She turns up at Stone's Command Center and they become partners in fighting the Invictus.  They are drawn to each other and passion flairs. But Aralynn has secrets, she is in truth Rosamunde in disguise.  Becoming Aralynn allowed Rosamunde a chance to leave the castle and live and fight. She loves it, but she also knows how much Stone hates Rosamunde so she is worried that if they give into their passion, when the truth comes out he will be furious.
Well, as things go, the secrets are gradually revealed and each time a new secret is revealed, Stone steps back and goes back to hating her, believing she betrayed him with the secrets and that the secrets prove his original opinion of her--she is a coward.
It was a great read! Love how it ended.

Embrace the Power:The Blood Rose Series book 9 by Caris Roane is the last book of this wonderful series and Omg I didn't want it to end. Sigh

The intensity of the book started at page 1 and continued building as the book went on. I didn't take my head out of my kindle except to go to the bathroom, and I almost took it in there. lol. And now that I'm finished with it, I have tears in my eyes.

In this book you will meet Mastyr Vampire Stone, protector of Tannisford Realm, and the only Mastyr vampire who hasn't yet found his blood rose. Also you will meet Queen Rosamunde in a whole different role as Aralynn, a fighter right along the side of Stone. She has a few secrets that come out in here. Together with Stone they will battle her aunt, the Ancient fae Margetta and her in wrath pairs. But at what cost?!!!

I loved everything about this book from the first chapter to the very end. I especially loved finding out just who and what the great Davido the Wise is. Never saw that one coming, lol. And to hear about the other Mastyr Vampires and their blood rose again was another highlight. Squeal...I am so gonna miss these awesome characters in this series. I may have to read them again in order since I still don't want this to end, lol.

Prepare to be Blown Away as this story unfolds. Gripping and Tense in a great way. Powerful emotions will bring you to your knees.
I'm actually at a loss of words to describe how this story affected me, it's that good. Thank goodness the author Caris Roane has more books cause I'm addicted to her writing.

I received an Advanced Reader copy of the book by the author thru my email and asked if I would give an honest review. Duh of course, I mean who can pass up a book from Caris Roane, Sweet. Thank you so much. I will have to get these in paperback to add to my collection of Great Authors. This is one series I will always treasure and go back to time and time again to read.

5 stars, I would give it a 10 if I could.

Gifted copy for honest review.

I really, really enjoyed reading Embrace the Power. This story is about Mastyr Stone and Queen Rosamunde/Aralynn. Stone feels that Rosamunde could end the war with the Ancient Fae so he doesn't think highly of the Queen. Rosamunde who lead a double life as Aralynn, a wolf shifter, who is his battle partner and she becomes a blood rose. Can Stone get over the betrayal he feels when he discovers that Queen Rosamunde and Aralynn are one and the same? I have to say this was a great ending for this series.

Wow, this paranormal read had me hooked from beginning to end. This is a fast paced read with plenty of action and drama. Mastyr Vampire Stone wants to bond with Aralynn, his battle partner, but she lives a double life, and is also the woman he despises. Can they find a way to be together? Loved the characters and steamy chemistry. I really liked it!

Ok, I gave you ample warning.

Holy hockey sticks!!! I always knew there was something extraordinary about Davido, but I was NOT expecting that. Kaden? Really? Wow... just WOW! That is some seriously mindboggling information to absorb. No wonder Vojalie seemed so comfortable with Kaden. Davido has long been spoken of and praised as the oldest and most powerful being in the Nine Realms, but that's putting it mildly. Davido is really Kaden. Davido chooses to look like a troll instead of his natural form of Kaden to hide his true identity of being an elf lord. His background and past are something. I would love to learn more about him, and maybe even hear about his relationships with Inez and how he and Vojalie's relationship started. It would be very cool if the author, Caris Roane, decided to write a story taking us a journey of Davido/Kaden's life. Especially now since writing his story wouldn't ruin the rest of the overall series arc. Davido/Kaden, the troll/elf-lord. Outstanding!!!

Add to that the revelations regarding Stone's past and... I can't even begin to explain the overwhelming feeling of sheer awe. Those were some serious secrets that Vojalie and Davido swore Rosamunde to. How difficult it must have been for her to carry that around on top of all the other responsibilities she already had to deal with. I'm just flabbergasted.

Now that Stone and Rosamunde are officially mated and expecting their first child, can I just say that is going to be one interesting brood. Rosamunde is half fae-half shifter, and Stone is half vampire-one quarter troll-one quarter elf. So, their children will be elf-troll-vampire-fae-shifters. I laugh thinking how I thought Lorelei had a complex lineage, but these kids have topped her.

I love this story and I loved getting a chance to see the combined forces of the Nine Realms finally wipe the floor with Margetta's behind. This story has twists, turns and loops that could rival the best rollercoaster out there. I loved reading it.

As a whole this series is fun, entertaining, unique, original and complex. There were very few dule moments and I never walked away from one the books feeling regret or unsatisfied. Well done to the author. I look forward to reading something new of hers.

This has to be the book in The Blood Rose Series!

The Queen has gone undercover to do battle with Mastyr Stone, however Stone does not know that she's the Queen, as he despises the Queen and he makes sure she knows it. This is not the only secret that the Queen holds. And as their story unfolds she must tell him each secret.

The more Stone works with his battle partner more he falls in love with her. She has the same fighting spirit he does, the same love for the people of the Nine Realms like he does, and is not afraid to jump into battle when needed. She's everything the Queen is not, or at least in his eyes, the Queen is selfish and he hates her for letting some Realm people dye at the hands of the Ancient Fae. However, what Stone does not realize that his battle partner is The Queen! With each secret the Queen holds, Stone feels more and more betrayed and he feels he was right about her all along. Can he ever see past his anger and see the truth or will the fate of the Nine Realms be lost to the Ancient Fae?

This book was full of so much suspense it was hard to put down! With each secret revealed you can't wait to see what happens next. The only thing I felt that didn't need to be there was the intimate scene right before the big battle. To me it seems out of place; especially since you know what they will face right after, but other than that it was an Awesome story to read and I'm a bit sad the Blood Rose Series is over, but can't wait to see what else Caris has in her writing pen.

Embrace the Hunt is book #9 of Caris Roane's Blood Rose Series.
Although this is the last book of this series, you can read it without reading the first seven. I wouldn't because you miss all the background story, which is pretty important, but it can be done.
Of all our couples Stone and Rosamunde/Aralynne, they had the most to overcome. And not just because this is the end and everything gets resolved. Rosamunde (and her alter ego Aralynne) we met earlier in the series so she's made her way back for her own story. As our couple works their way through things I've got caught up in their story, you know the HEA at the end is coming but it’s the getting there that's interesting.
And what's a Blood Rose Series book without the hot and steamy sex scenes. You got them sprinkled through the book to keep things interesting. My theory on sex scenes is, if the book would've been good without them, then the author did their job and working them into the story and didn't just plunk them down for the sake of having sex scenes in a book.
So give this one a try and you'll want to go read the whole series. I enjoy all of Ms. Roane's stories and they never disappoint. Yep going to miss this series, but I'm sure there'll be another great series coming up … and in the meantime, try the Flame Series.

I have been addicted to Caris Roane's Blood Rose Series since day one. She is such an awesome writer, not only can you not put the book down but as soon as your finished you crave the next book, mmmmmm maybe your the next Blood Rose. Yes!! I recommend this book better yet this series. Oh no!!!!! how can I exist, this is the final OMG I'm going to have a heart attack, I swear I just don't know what to do if I can't read another Blood Rose...  I wish Ms. Caris would find about Twenty more Realms of course there is always enough Mastyr Vampires to find... Please!!! Please!! I'm going to start to have withdrawals soon....
Hunky Mastyr Vampire Stone has looked over and protected the Tannisford Realm with his Vampire Guard, working side by side with the she wolf Aralynn they all battled the deadly Invictus Wraith-Pairs.
Queen Rosamunde aka Aralynn became a she wolf to fight her aunt the Ancient Fae Margetta at Mastyr Stones side. While fighting side by side Aralynn realized she had feeling for the Mastyr Vampire but would he forgive her for deceiving him? I was gifted this book for an honest and truthful review.

Kindly provided with an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.....

What an ending to a phenomenal series !!! 5++++ Stars from me !!

This was Mastyr Vampire Stone and Aralynn/Rosamunde's book......it was chocked full of heat and suspense !! Aralynn is not exactly who Stone believed her to be, she is Queen Rosumande head of the Fae. She is NOT the wolf shifter Stone thinks she is !!!. Gah, what the heck !!!!.

Oh, this one was not for the faint hearted. As with all of Caris's books, you are at the end of your seat. They are mesmerizing....utterly gripping !!!. This finale to the Blood Rose Series was brilliant and honestly you just need to read it to become enthralled in the world that Caris has created. For me it was a Powerful read !!!

An absolutely WINNING Series !!! Caris it has been a true pleasure to read each and every one of your books !!!. Many thanks for this opportunity and Well done Caris !!!

Later peeps xxx

To sad that I'm sad is an understatement. It has nothing to do with the quality of the book. It has everything to do with the end of this series. The Nine Realms has become a part of my life. Looking forward to each book and each Realm throughout the entire series. Now it's over and I'm just sad.

Stone and Rosamund's story was so very intense. I couldn't put this book down. I was Fae thralled from the beginning. Truly fascinating story that left me aggravated, awed, heart meltingly entranced and waiting for the next shoe to drop. Stone is a temperamental, tender hearted warrior; and Rosamund is a kind hearted selfless Queen that fights battles without gratification. They make the perfect couple and team.

Caris Roane is truly gifted and the Nine Realms will be missed.

This book brings the captivating Blood Rose series to an exciting and suspenseful conclusion. Queen Rosamunde, ruler of Ferrenden Peace, has long wanted to take on a more active role in defending innocents from Margetta, the Ancient Fae, and her army of wraith pair Invictus. After leaning how to change into her wolf form, Rosamunde joins Mastyr Stone's inner circle as a wolf shifter, Aralynn. Stone believes Rosamunde to be a spoiled, selfish and cowardly Fae, but he admires and is strongly attracted to his new battle partner, Aralynn. But within a short time Rosamunde realizes her mistake. One that could well be fatal to the nine realms.

What a great ending to the series! I'm so sad the series had to end but what a wonderful way to end it. Secrets abound and come out to spice up the story. Hot, hot, hot scenes will have you wiping the sweat from your brow. Mastyr Vampire Stone has come to the realization that he had found his blood rose after Aralynn saves his life by donating her blood. He soon finds out one of those secrets and it sets him back. Can he forgive her and cement the bond? Can they stop the Ancient Fae from taking over everything? A must read!

It's always bittersweet coming to the end of a series because one enjoys as there is always the feeling that surely there must be another character to explore, another character with a story worth sharing. But one thing Caris Roane does well is build an interconnected arc around a central plot line reliant on yet separate from the romances in her books. Rather than drag things out to a point where things become rote, she employs a defined end. This is a series with growth in each book, with resolution to smaller conflicts, and overall ending in a place that truly wraps up the series in a spectacular fashion.

At last we have the final installment of the Blood Rose Series. The Nine Realms have joined into a Federation thanks to the mastyrs finding their blood rose mates. The battle continues in an effort to stop the ancient fae Magetta and her Invictus army. Mastyr Vampire Stone along with his blood rose Aralynn strive to understand each other and choices they have each made in the past. This has been a great series and as always Roane has delivered a world of paranormal magic, adventure, and the meaning of true love. Appreciate book gifted for an honest review by Roane.

What an amazing journey

I have traveled the Nine Realms with all the Mastyr Vampires and their Blood Roses and it has been a spectacular trip. Filled with action, adventure, magic and passion, The Blood Rose series is a must for every PNR lover. There are three more tales to read and then I am abandoned to my own imagination. I only hope it is half as vivid and well developed as Ms. Roane's.
