Tag: A Cautionary Tale

Rate this book
When Tommy knocks Franklin over and cries “You’s it!” he starts a game of Tag to end all games of Tag. Before long, boys gathering to play on Arabella Hill are consumed with the game, picking sides, forging allegiances and waging all-out war. In the process of the game, rules evolve, constitutions form, and lives are lost.

From the mind of John Collings comes a satirical allegory about the clash of ideologies and what happens if this confrontation is never resolved.

In the battle of the playground, there is only one question that matters—which team, will emerge victorious?

If his writing is like his teaching then this book is the worst book ever written. I have never felt as stupid as his class made me feel. Don’t recommend the class or this book.

If you didn’t get to play Tag UR it; when you were a kid I am very, very sorry.
& yes either the bigger kids or the bullies made up the rules. Clubhouses weren’t those fun.
Moving all over the US, Canada, & Mexico I quickly learned street/stick ball, & playing hoops till the lights went out on the inner-city parks.

What a fabulous, fabulous book. Not sure really what age group this is for, but everyone of all ages ought to read it. I read so much into it, I suppose you’re not supposed to, but, it’s a thinker what if? Top 25 list for 2016.
Everyone needs a Little Lizzy & old man friend.

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review. Only an honest one.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. Wow, a very well written kids game book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great kids game movie, animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

Thank you for the free Goodreads; MakingConnections; EMSA Publisher; Author; Autographed; paperback book

‘I guess if even a little bit of life lives on any place, people believe it’s worth saving, but as soon as we suck the life from anything, then we need to get rid of it so we aren’t reminded of the beauty it once held’
