Master has only revealed himself in small doses, hinting about the tragedy in his past, and now Brie has unknowingly befriended an enemy of her Master... Nothing is easy where Brie is concerned, but sexy surprises are in store for her as well--including a birthday party that is uniquely Brie-licious.
Brie's Submission Reading Order Book 1: Teach Me Book 2: Love Me Book 3: Catch Me Book 4: Try MeBook 5: Protect Me
Red Phoenix has truly picked it up with the drama and angst in Protect Me, her 5th novel in the series to Brie's journey. Again, in all these books, they are always very moving, emotional and captivating.
Infiltrating into Brie's life is Sir's arch nemesis and he's non to happy to have this one particular person back in his life. All Brie wants to do is serve her Master with all her love and devotion but this person is hindering her on all accounts. In serving Sir, she wants to protect him and those around her, but in doing so, will it derail her servitude to Sir or help?
Brie's documentary has taken off, but now she must face the onslaught of family and what she thought of love and the belief that 'blood is thicker than water', however, she gets a whole new perspective.
Page turner for sure and maybe I was dare say and turning point in the series for Brie and Thane. We also get to know more personal backstories on two of our favorite Doms. Both of which I was very happy to see more information on their past and why they are the way they are. This book ended in a doozy and I can't wait to continue the journey.
I was not able to put this book down while I read it in one go. The characters are as enchanting as ever and it is a real treat to follow them through their lives. I had a lot of fun reading this book and I can't wait to continue on the series. If you love hot scenes that will curl your toes, this book is for you. Actually, this series is what I find to be the crème de la crème in the genre. I am finding these books not only very informative, but also a great source of information as the author of these books is in the lifestyle herself, unlike many who write in the genre but are not living it full time. This simple detail makes all the difference and has ruined me for any other authors in the genre. Yes, it is that good people!
This is book 5 in the Bries submission series. Thane and Brie are still learning their new relationship. Brie's documentary is almost ready to go, but prior to its release, Thane has decided that her parents need to know rhe true dynamics of their relationship, can they accept it? Thane also has a trip to Russia he goes on, leaving Brie with Tono, where they learn how to become friends after the hurt from her collering ceremony. They also take a trip to Italy and meet Thanes fathers side of his family, can their love survive his childhood sweetheart? Over and above these little trials, is Thanes mother, as deceitful and manipulative as ever. Can Brie and Thane survive the rollercoaster ride and find true happiness together?
Protect me my ass. I find myself having issues with Brie not being able to express her feelings or question Thane on why he does certain things that cause her pain. And why he lets the domme treat Brie so terribly. That really pisses me off. Another thing that really bothered me is that he was so mad at her over The Beast,
-Brie birthday (23 years old). Sir is 11 years older -Going to Italy, meeting the childhood sweetheart -Branding of Sir and Brie by the new headmaster -Sir mother has cancer maybe , she threatened to destroy Alfonzo violin -Faelan is trying to get over Brie -Documentary is announced to her parents, they outed their bdsm lifestyle -Ms Clark was in love with Rystar and she abused him and tortured him to proved she was the Domme. sir was her bdsm mentor
Red Phoenix’s Brie’s submission series continues with Protect Me (book 5) The angst and steamy scenes continues!!! With every book in this series gets hotter!!! You learn more about Brie’s upbringing as well as part of Thane’s mysterious past. Not only do they continue to learn about each other but they are also introduced to hardships that they not only have to overcome themselves but as a couple as well. Definite page turner and must read!
I have loved all the books so far. Phoenix has a way of creating characters and scenarios that engulfs you. I have been emotionally transformed into Brie in almost all aspects. Her joy, her sadness, her passion all of it feels so organic and real. Great job... You have inspired me to tend to my own poetry and short stories. Thank you.
So the Saga continues. We finally find out what happened between Ms. Clark and the Russian. Boy it's a doozy. Poor Brie goes from highs to lows as she tries to navigate the obstacles in her path to happiness. This installment ends with a cliff hanger so I gotta go to read the next book! PS: She's mom is truly a beast!
Wow, she just keeps getting herself into shit that is not her concern. All that "I commanded you" crap, I understand about not listening to Sir but she retrieved it from Mary not the beast. Keeps getting more and more involved but darn the things that Brie does with no regard for others. I understand her helping but sometimes you have to leave it and respect it.
Brie is still learning to navigate aspects of her submissive lifestyle with Sir, but she has come learn some deep secrets about Sir that have made their connection stronger. Brie makes the decision to bind her relationship closer by branding herself with Sirs mark, but when Brie defies Sir and goes behind his back, thinking she is helping, she is left devastated.
There’s not enough to this relationship to keep me interested. The author is trying to build up what they have, but I really don’t get why they need/trust each other so much and where the devotion is coming from.
My least favorite of the series yet. They continue to bread crumb Ms, Clark and the Rystar history. There’s a little bit more revealed with Sir’s mom and dad. All in all it seems like we are moving further away from the BDSM teachings and scenes and it’s becoming more fluff with the characters.

Sir and Brie are trying to find their way.. Dir deals with his mother and Brie deals with her documentary. Hot and steamy scenes of BDSM play are included. Great read.
Exceptional! Love seeing Brie and Sir's relationship evolve and their commitment to each other be bond even stronger. So excited to see where these twists and turns lead.
When I started reading this, I thought that this would be strictly a smutty series. And while it IS that, if that is what you are looking for, it also has a great plot line. The series is quite long, with 25 books so far, but I'm glad I pressed on and read them all! Each book has crazier stuff happening, and kept my attention! With each book, you learn more background on the characters and why they are how they are, etc. I just started reading the books of these that come before, which are about Sir and the others while in college. Can't wait to read those to see how everything led up to this series!
Sir Davis has had to leave the country on business. He has a new client in Russia, rather than leave Brie on her own, he arranges for Tono to be a stand in Master while he is away. He gives Brie instructions that she is to take this time to get more work done on her BDSM documentary. He is amazing as he sets up ways to for them to feel like they are together, going to the gym at the same time, always calling at the same time to keep it as part of her routine. It also gives Tono and Brie the opportunity to talk out what happened between them the night of the Collaring Ceremony.
Just prior to Sir arriving home Brie has an incident at the gym, she thinks she sees Wallace waiting for her outside of the gym and she is really worried about leaving the gym to get back to Tono’s. A lady who has been going to the gym the same times Brie does, says she will take care of Wallace while Brie slips out to the coffee shop next door. When the woman meets up with Brie she says the man must have looked like Wallace but he wasn’t that she checked his drivers license and left. She starts asking Brie questions that although weren’t out of place seemed a little off to Brie. Had she of know what she found out afterwards she would have run back to Tono’s. Without knowing it Thane’s mother has now come back into his life via using Brie.
This is just one of the things that causes trouble for the couple along with Wallace still not wanting to cut ties with Brie. There are rough roads ahead for them. Even rough roads can have beautiful spots and there are beautiful spots in this story. One of the best spots is that her documentary is done and it will be shown soon.
Red Phoenix is moving us through the life of all these people and it feels like we are there with them, cheering for them when the good things come along and wanting to protect them from the bad things.
When we last left young Brie, Sir had left her in the care of Tono Nosaka, the Rope Master. She is helping him out with his rope classes. She's also avoiding Faelan, per Sir. She meets up with an older woman in the gym, and when Brie thinks she sees Faelan outside the gym, the woman goes out to distract him while Brie makes her getaway. Meeting for coffee, the woman swears that was a different young man. Later, Brie finds out that the older woman is an enemy is Sirs.
There is lots going on in this book, and honestly, it feels just like you are invited in for a peek into Brie's life as she lives it. The highs, the lows, and the erotically charged moments that make you want a Sir Thane Davis all of your own.
We get the answers to some questions here as well, but not a spoiler shall pass from my lips. If you haven't started this series, what are you waiting for? It's just too good to pass up. I'm on 5, and I still have more to go. Boy, am I ever glad I can still get my Brie fix on!
Hot damn that birthday party has gifts that keep giving! I love the relationships that keep developing in new ways with Mary, Faelan, Brie, her Master, and more. Definitely a fun read and nice addition to the series. 4 stars!
Very intense and emotional. Also insightful on a couple things that happened in previous book. The ups in this story are beautiful, passionate and highly erotic. The downs will make you gasp and tear up. Red also leaves you craving more!
