I am always looking for new herbals and this book has everything one would want to make themselves a cup of healing herbal caffeine-free tea.
From Bladder Bliss to Sweet Sleep, there is something for every ailment. It's a really lovely book and the recipes may look daunting but the ingredients are easily found at bulk herb shops or on-line. I go to the San Francisco Herb Co. My local herbal store also carries their brand.
I'm somewhat new to herbal teas, but I really enjoyed the information in the book, the beautiful photography and have enjoyed a few of the lovely tea recipes. Great information about allergies because as it turns out I am allergic to chamomile, which means I am likely allergic to the other plants in the daisy family. I would definitely recommend this book if you are interested in the benefits of herbal tea!
Can't get enough ! These amazing combinations are proving to be a delightful gift to myself and anyone who knocks on my door. Many of these are going to become holiday presents. I am looking forward to pot after pot and all the health and balance I can steep for the foreseeable future. I hope this author continues to write more herbal books as I have followed them on Amazon.
I've been getting into making my own herbal tea lately and wanted a book with different recipes that also includes explanations of the health benefits of different herbs. This book does exactly that and more. Some of the herbs in some recipes are not available in local shops or supermarkets, but can be sourced elsewhere and are still affordable. So far, I have made the morning cleanse, the tummy warmer and the serenitea. They taste great (especially the tummy warmer) and I can't wait to make more.
This book has bright colorful pictures of the teas as well as lots of good information. I liked all of the herbal information as well., what they're good for AND what they shouldn't be used with. That's always good knowledge to have. I can't wait to try out some of these recipes. I would recommend this book for any budding herbalists or tea / infision lovers.
Beautifully designed. Lots of lovely close ups of the good stuff - tea. For those who want to (re)discover tea. If you haven't got time to make your own dried herbs there are plenty of tea shops about. File under healthy living projects to do.
The recipes are well rounded and created to provide the health benefits as described. I have some herbal training and was happy to see explanations for why certain herbs were used, and the benefits they provide.
It’s a beautiful book and nicely laid out for kindle. I actually set aside my fiction I was in the middle of and read this through. I plan to buy the ingredients for several (ah-tea-shoo and lion heart are my top two).
Great recipes and information! I just read through this today and tried the Clean Seeds tea; loved it. Will be trying many more of these recipes. The teas make great gifts. Really really enjoyed this book!
I can say enough good things about this book. An absolute treasure trove of information for any interested in making their own herbal teas and learning how to use the herbs.
