Good overview of memory palace and other techniques
I like the flow and straightforward layout of this book. Like all memory books it will take some work and sitting down to come up with your own memory palaces and mental visualizations. I like the style and ability to get to the point. The leg system for numbers is also included for the first 100 numbers. Looking Fargo book 2.
Well explained with many examples which makes it very easy to understand . we definitely continue and read the second book after completing all the assignments for this one.
This really isn’t very impressive. There is a lot of repetition throughout. The author offers a basic idea and 20 pages later re-visits the same idea.
Quite literally, pages 31-33 are just a list of what he sees in his apartment in a numbered bullet format. Pages 50-51 are “a tour” where the same list is given but in a paragraph.
Likewise, the book ends with page 55 being tips to make things stick written as a paragraph and page 56 repeating the exact same list with bullet points.
Finally, the last 2 pages are just a sales pitch with what is, essentially, the table of contents for the second book.
This book was an easy read, but what was 58 pages could have easily been condensed into 10-15 pages.
A LOT of repetition. If you read the last 10/15 pages, you know what's been written. Would've been 1* but extra one for the explanation about numbers , as the was useful and to the point
I thought the concept of Memory Palaces was remarkable. I've always thought the human mind quite capable, more so than what most people use it for. This short book teaches the simple concept behind creating and linking things you want to remember.
So simple anyone can do it with practice. If you want to remember things easily, read this book and practice.
