This tells how the arrogant artist Picasso did not leave a will, so his wife, ex-wives and various children who were variously legitimate, had turmoil after his death. One young man, his son, was told he would get nothing, and took drastic steps, tragically. The rest of the family and ex-family got on with lawyering up and confronting one another in court. After five years of this chaos, in April 1978 the six remaining heirs formed an agreement. They still in some cases believed money had been hidden from the estate. And of course, lawyers cost money. This also caused permanent estrangements which may have led to more tragedy.
Index p.169 -177. Black and white photos of family, a few of the art depicting family members. It's hard to know how this could be improved, given the topic, but it comes across as dry and factual, often sad. Art students may be interested.
