I love LOVE, give me a long passionate relationship coupled with a fantastic background and throw in some blissful caresses, long finger strokes, and-- ah, sorry got caught up there *clears her throat* I mean, I like romance...hehe. And fantasy, Sci-fi and magic-realism as well. I write New Adult and Adult across all genres.

This is a story about a vampire who falls in love with a ghost. Both who died in their late teens. The ghost is still here living with her cousin who is a medium. But there is so much more to there story which I enjoyed reading along. The characters were well developed and the storyline was great. I wish I can give more stars because I am actually looking forward to reading the next installment. The negative part was too many grammar errors and misspelled words. A few times I had to re-read the sentence to understand the plot. I can usually just by pass these errors but when it becomes too much I have to point it out. Otherwise this would have been a smooth and easy read. I will give a big kudos to the Author for her storyline this is a wonderful story. I even got goosebumps during a certain chapter where I was scared of the visual she gave us.
I really enjoyed this story. I think the other reviewer must have had an advanced copy of the book, or an older version; I didn't find the errors so grievous at all. I found the premise original and the characters interesting and I felt it flowed very well. The story pulled me along and I found myself neglecting some other things I should have been doing because I was caught up on the story between Landry and his past, and Maya and their possibility of their future together. I am intrigued to find out what happens in the next book.
Once again I was not disappointed by this author. Quite the opposite, this book was a delight to read indeed. The plot is multidimensional, non-linear, with some timely flashbacks and background stories. The characters are so human that the yarn in general seems plausible enough even in some paranormal, spiritual environment or context. In fact, the fine divide between the physical and spiritual world, life and death brings some intrigue into the narrative style, which is enthralling in itself. The fight between good and evil is presented in an original and delicate way. The reader is kept in the dark until about the very end of the book, which is only part one of a series, as far as I gathered. However, we could easily follow the emotional dynamics and the logic of the main characters' development. On one hand, most of the male characters are presented in somewhat idealized state (we, men, would like to be regarded as such 'supermen'!:-) ), whereas, on the other, the female ones are at times so contradictory and unsure about their true nature that we could hardly justify their behavior sometimes. Nevertheless, we are made to realize that without our (be)loved women, we are not ultimately able to achieve our destiny, develop our potential, succeed in life etc. Of course, I am taking the metaphorical point of view here when analyzing the storyline. Otherwise, it could well read as a fairytale for adults. Yet from another perspective, the plot transports us into the realm of love versus hate, teamwork versus fight and unexpected dangers. Something more, family and complex relationships, friendship and bonds are portrayed in an amusing way, at times dramatic, at times deeply sensual and romantic. In conclusion, I may say that this love story is also highly psychological and enlightening in terms of soul-searching and self-knowledge. It also turned out to be a real page-turner for me.
