1,5 stelline che arrotondo a 2
Ammetto che non avevo molte aspettative per questo manga, anche se era nella mia TBR da un po', sapevo perfettamente che mi avrebbe deluso eppure dentro di me speravo in QUALCOSA che mi facesse cambiare idea, magari un piccolo accenno di trama più approfondita, un minimo di psicologia dei personaggi o critica sociale rivolta al mondo omegaverse che in questa particolare occasione ci stava benissimo e invece... il nulla. La storiella dovrebbe essere un po' una "fiaba" in salsa yaoi condita con smutt ma risulta fin da subito insipida e senza contenuto. I personaggi sono inutili e caratterizzati malissimo tanto da non spingerti a tifare per loro neanche una singola volta, i loro rapporti sono freddi e vuoti e anche la coppietta non ispira il minimo senso di amore e protezione, sembra quasi che si sia formata come ripiego e non per amore, almeno non da parte del protagonista che sembra aver scelto il compagno solo per rimediare alla situazione pessima con il suo alpha, insomma...la storia è molto... meh! Troviamo il protagonista che è un omega, una divetta insopportabile con il sogno di sposare un "principe" alpha per non lavorare, avere mille figli e vivere nel lusso senza muovere un dito, servito e riverito, un po' una Cenerentola svampita e parecchio irritante che ovviamente con il suo modo di fare snobba completamente il BFF, il povero beta innamorato di lui come una pera cotta, l'unico poveraccio che gli è sempre stato accanto e lo ha aiutato nei momenti duri. Ovviamente nonostante i tentativi del beta di far ragionare l'amato quest'ultimo sarà irremovibile con il suo progetto di vita e in pochi secondi, l'omega si incollerà all'alpha stronzo di turno e scegliendo il personaggio peggiore... la delusione è dietro l'angolo e solo allora il genio si renderà conto di chi teneva davvero a lui, chi lo amava, chi lo rispettava e voleva DAVVERO al suo fianco e così facendo... tornerà tranquillamente a strisciare dal migliore amico e via di happy ending felice che mi ha fatto impazzire. La storia aveva infatti una possibilità di riscatto nel finale, mostrare come funziona il MONDO, che se ti comporti da stronzo, fregandotene dei sentimenti, rimani fregato, senza possibilità di riscatto, perdendo le cose importanti! Avrei voluto vedere il mocciosetto viziato andare dall'amico e dirgli "Ti amo, l'altro è uno stronzo, avevi ragione" e questo rispondergli "Ok, tvb amichetto ma... ora sono impegnato, hai perso il treno TESORO, CIAONE!" questo sarebbe stato un BEL finale che mi avrebbe permesso di rivalutare completamente l'opera, una fiaba con un insegnamento, non è così che dovrebbe funzionare per le fiabe INTELLIGENTI? Dare una morale? Ecco, una bella fiaba yaoi con la morale "non inseguire i soldi facili/vita bella e comoda o rimani fregato" e invece no perché il Bff deve perdonare lo scemo che è andato con il primo alpha belloccio e addirittura sposarlo e fare una famiglia con lui... dov'è la punizione per gli errori? Il karma? La giustizia divina? Il nulla... una storia deludente fino alla fine, da 1,5 stelline (che arrotondo a 2 avendo letto mooolto di peggio e non essendoci ancora nel 2018 le mezze stelline su Goodreads!!) che mi sento di sconsigliare non essendo né carina né interessante e non essendo neanche troppo erotica da essere letta come PWP! Una delusione per un inizio anno molto deludente...

From the cover you wouldn't expect this to be as romantic as it is! Kei, an omega, lives in with his beta best friend Tsugitsugu. Both of them have their complexes about themselves, and Tsugitsugu helps Kei out since medication doesn't help with his heats. Of course there has to be a game of Find The Asshole in an alpha who just wants to knock dudes up so he can have a soccer team of just his progeny (welcome to Japan, kids). What I found most interesting though was the discrimination Kei faced not only for being an omega, but for being with an 'inferior' partner from his peers. Working in a Japanese office, I know some of my superiors think less of me for being single (and the hassling Kei gets for taking sick days is VERY familiar). The story itself isn't developed as well as Ai to Makoto, but it's still a good one; especially if you are kind of sick of the convention that soft, gentle people for some reason can't make good couples, or that there always has to be a 'dominant' for these kind of relationships to work.

I’ve put off reading Moriyo sensei’s works because of the polarized reviews, she plays with many controversial and sensitive topics.
The cover art is the Ω uke licking his own Cinderella’s glass slipper, the inner page is him wearing a wedding gown leaning onto the β seme who’s also sitting on the floor, whereas the α seme is stepping on the uke while throwing money. This love triangle depicts the classic debate of whether to choose love or money.
The Ω uke 計 is a contract worker at sales counter. He has the idealistic dream of marrying an α and becoming a happy housewife. Life hasn’t been easy for him growing up and he wants to climb up the social ladder with the help of his other half. He likes the childhood friend β but struggles with the realistic issue of not being able to control his heat with medication.
The β seme 次継 is an ordinary office worker. He’s been protecting and taking care of the uke since they were little kids. They’ve been having a physical relationship since the uke’s first heat back in school. Although he likes the uke he cannot mark an Ω so he’s pushing the uke to settle down with a good partner.
The α seme 千賀 駅人 is the CEO of the company where β works. He’s very upfront about his intention of having open relationships and collecting Ω partners to give birth to a football league with 100+ offsprings. He’s willing to offer money to the uke as compensation but won’t be able to provide emotional support or be there when he’s in heat.
The uke and β seme made the deadly mistake of not having a open and honest conversation about their thoughts and feelings. So the α seme had the opportunity to break into the uke’s home when he’s in heat and forcefully marked him. Eventually the β seme found out what a heartless a**hole the α seme is, him and uke finally confessed to each other, got married and had a son together…

This was very different than I had expected. In a lot of ways, it was actually kind of tragic, though it does have a happy ending. The story is about 2 friends who love each other in secret but are unable to admit it, as due to biology and society, they are unable to be together as an omega and a beta. The beta nevertheless helps the omega through his painful medication-resistant heats, with the intent of ending this part of their relationship once the omega is bonded to an alpha. Suffice to say, the omega gets his bond, but in a harrowing and devastating way that has painful repercussions on the central relationship. Thankfully, they were able to repair their connection, but it was a rough road leading there.

This was a nice but also very sad read! It tells the story of Kei, an omega who wants to find the perfect Alpha and then settle down. And while he's searching, he spends his heats with his best friend Tsugitsugu (a beta) because suppressants don't work on him. One day he ends up meeting what seems to be the perfect Alpha only to get attacked and marked without permission
Warnings for RAPE. That's what made this story so sad to me, that Kei only figured out what he wanted after he'd been hurt. Still, in a way, things did work out for him, which I liked. And damn I hate that Alpha!

This could've been better and I think the main problem is that it should've been two volumes instead of one. There was a lot happening that it ended up feeling really rushed. The whole story is pretty sad and I wish it could've been built up a little better. There needed to be more romance between the two love interests since at it's core they had a pretty toxic relationship and in the beginning we didn't see enough of the omega's unrequited love for the beta. We don't really see it until the end. Also there just isn't enough of the beta's pov in general. We don't really get to know much about him except that he's been there for him for a long time.
I wish the stuff that happened with the alpha was addressed better. All of that was such a terrifying mess and I don't think it got the sort of care and attention it needed. I also wish there was a better confrontation. I mean he's rich and powerful and couple is not so I can understand why he wouldn't see any big repercussions, but I think they brushed off the entire situation so easily. Not to mention they didn't really fully address the logistics of how the mark works in most omegaverse. Like they just moved on and lived happily ever after, which just doesn't make sense for the severity of the situation earlier in the story.

I couldn’t put this down…. The angst was so good. It gave me major vindee vibes. I kinda wish it was more than one volume but it was great.
