MATT SHAW was born, quite by accident (his mother tripped, he shot out) September 30th 1980 in Winchester hospital where he was immediately placed on the baby ward and EBay. Some twelve years later (wandering the corridors of the hospital and playing with road kill when he was on day release), the listing closed and he remained unsold, he was booted out of the hospital to start his life as a writer and hobbit – beginning with writing screenplays and short stories for his own amusement before finally getting published when he was twenty-seven years and forty-five seconds old.
Once Published weekly in a lad's magazine with his photography work, Matt Shaw is also a published author and cartoonist. Has to be said, can be a bit of a flirt and definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, somewhat of a klutz.

3.5 stars. This was an interesting concept. Really utilized the roles of peer pressure, loneliness, and some other wisely chosen themes. Robert, our lead, was just a very isolated person with some misconceptions about sex, all made worse by his few friends and their taunts. And he ended up agreeing to something so extreme that there is no going back once he agreed to it. It was very obvious how the ending was going to play out, which was a bit of a bummer. And the story moved so extremely quick that I didn't really get deeply involved with Robert or anyone else. But the story itself was unique and it had a bit of a slow burn effect leading up to the finale. Not the strongest story, but worth checking out if you're a fan of The 40-Year Old Virgin and...well...necrophilia.

Get your air freshener and perfume ready 🤢 . This is the story of Robert. He’s a lonely virgin that can’t talk to girls. It’s not really a problem when you have a friend like Tom that works in the morgue. This story was short and full of yuck.

I'm reading this thinking for a story based around necrophilia and considering Matt shaw wrote it its pretty tame, and then comes that last chapter, and there it is! Another excellent read!

Matt Shaw has done it again, totally floored me with a great twist ending. Robert is still a virgin and gets ribbed about it all the time by his friends and then one of them has an unique idea that you will not believe. It's sick to start with so of course it goes from bad to worse in no time. If you love a horror story with graphic sex and violence plus a few OMG!! moments then this is the book for you. I hope he writes a sequel to this one.

Truly Fu**ed up!
I love Matt Shaw, I really do. But this is twisted even for him. Certainly not off-putting enough to have stopped reading at any time, but still....
There have been times in the past when my financial situation dictated that I find an unconventional and yes, sometimes unsafe method of making money. But after reading this story I am extremely happy I never had to resort to medical testing.

Darkly disturbing horror from the pen of Mr Shaw. Robert is a virgin who is constantly teased by his friends, one of whom works at a morgue. I thought I knew where this was taking me, but really didn't expect the twist at the end. Dark, sick full of black humour, brilliant!

Excellent story, unpredictable ending. Could not put down. It almost feels like you are having sex with a dead body. I can only imagine.

I like the sense of humour of the male characters that are supposedly the main character's "friends" even if they are fat shaming/body shaming women, it's just fictional humour 😅
The shy main character is relatable, since i'm a shy person, I get anxious, overwhelmed when a guy talks to me, I feel the same awkwardness, uncomfortable, embarrassment, since I don't really socialise much, it's hard to relate to people I have nothing in common with.
It's really awkward.
I will never understood why people are bullied, judged, shamed for being a virgin or pressured to lose their virginity. It's a choice, not a obligation.

Didn't work for me
In fact I would be surprised if anyone enjoys this story, even if you like a good horror.
The single underlying storyline is unpleasant, I've read my fair-share of extreme horrors but this taboo was a step too far for me - and the twist ending added to the disappointment.

Very descriptive!
Matt is very good at details. The story draws you in with will he or won't he? You get to know the characters personally and feel like your standing right there watching. For fans of extreme, this is what you're looking for!

She'll Never Know is a messed up story in the best way possible. This was so much fun to read. The main character was very well written and I sympathized with his plight even as he prepared to do bad things. The writing in this novella was very good and I flew through this in two days. The pace is steady and doesn't pick up until the last 20 percent but the ending was awesome. I didn't see the twist coming and the ending had me smiling as it was perfect. Matt Shaw is a great author and this twisted tale was first rate. I highly recommend it.

Always packing a punch
Shaw never fails to entertain or shock me, this story is just more proof. This author pulls a subject from his imagination and turns it into a real life horror story that will leave us all nauseous and yet creepily happy. Highly recommend to fans of modern horror.

"She'll Never Know" by Matt Shaw
This is an intensely dark read about a man who is desperate to lose his virginity. A good comparison to this read would be Havok's "The Embalmer" or Morrison's "Dead Inside". This was super icky and disturbing to the core. 4 🌟

Wow that is an awesome twist.
A dark tale with a clue in the title. Expertly written producing a real feeling for the main character Robert with his horrible teasing 'friends'.
