Super over the top angst and abuse makes this subpar. Tossing aside all negative emotions and mental health issues makes this bad. The easy forgiveness between abusers and the abused makes this stupid bad.
The protagonist is a boy that has been severely abused and neglected. The story starts with him beaten and (literally) broken, dying in a tiny room hes been locked in.
Suddenly Magic! With a somewhat interesting (and somewhat childish) magical system he fixes his wounds and begins to rationally plan for a better future.
Suddenly Voldemort! The still nameless boy (who still doesn't know his age or birthday due to severe neglect), finds out that the Voldemort in his scar has been poisoning his family with Bad Thoughts. He defeats Voldemort and absorbs (very ambiguous and inconsistent) knowledge and memories including his and his parents name.
8 year old Harry Potter then disregards all of his plans, forgives all abuse, unravels all of his safeguards against his abusers, and comforts his abusers who now feel regretful. Hugs, birthday celebrations, terrible humor and magical mischief commence!
This all happens in the time span of a few days.

I read this book prior to the rating above but didn't add it to my Goodreads. This time I read further, but I was better off not reading it again in the first place.
