Originally hailing from Mississippi, Keegan Kennedy is a writer based out of Memphis, TN. As a child, sometimes his active imagination was the only friend that he had. Following a degree in History from the University of Southern Mississippi, Keegan floated around the corporate while dreaming of telling stories. His first novellas were in the arena of male-for-male erotica and romance. His earlier efforts were soon followed by success when his novel, Homecoming, went to Number One in on the LGBT charts in four countries: Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He has a knack for uncovering love and romance in the darkest of places. With a tendency toward the melodramatic, he does more than arouse or excite the reader - he engages them.

His current release is the epic novel: The Harbinger – a chilling, apocalyptic tale of survival that decimated stereotypes and shocked his fans. Upcoming works include – a TBA romance between two anti-heroes. And by popular demand, he is re-mastering his older novellas into his new anthology series, the cheekily-named: Smooth Jocks and Gruff Jocks.

"I want to sincerely thank all of my readers! Because of you, I have spoken to and made new friends from across the globe on every continent with the exception of Antarctica - to my knowledge. Your kind words and encouragement have meant the world to me. I answer all emails, so feel free to contact me."

Gross. This is not a healthy story. I’m okay with the f o r c e d submission but the descriptions were disgusting. Also, I absolutely LOATHE abuse. And that’s the primary focus of this series. Beating the victim into compliance. Then the author has the nerve to try to turn it into an HEA at the end because he added a McMansion and millions of dollars to the package. That just made the victim into a paid for w h o r e. Smdh.

No one should read this series.

HaWT. I did skim a bit, but this definitely turned my crank. Why? you ask. I think it's the relish Mr Kennedy brings to his dirty little stories. Plan on perusing them all.
(11/21/18) I feel like this needs a Caveat Emptor. Most of what happens in this story is inappropriate, reprehensible, and would be completely unacceptable in real life. It's the classic 'he made me do bad things and I liked it' trope.

I love a book with a super grumpy alpha male who tames a weaker submissive. In this book the submission started out as a smug straight male, but was quickly put in his place by his boss.

This is not mutual attraction at first. This is not a romance in the normal meaning of the word. This is closer to Stockholm syndrome. Still, it was a fun read.

I think it's been a long time since I've read one of the really dark books of Keegan Kennedy. Feels like the ones I've been reading lately are the more "lighter" ones cuz this book was dark.

Be warned, this book heavily features dubious consent. I'm kinda used to it with the other books, but none of them could match the intensity
of this one cuz it took up like 95% of this book.

It was still pretty hot tho if you're into any of Kennedy's books. Also, I really thought this book would have like 5 or 6 parts. It was shorter than I expected with only 4 parts. Would have rated this a 5, but it was just kinda too much for my taste.

WTF did I just read?
Okay... so no stars from me because that was a clusterf***. It was soooooo bad that I had to laugh so hard in the end that I cried. I would have to spoiler the end to explain myself.
Dont read this book if you want or need a good ending or something that actually make sence.

Heavy duty dubcon/noncon. Briscoe is a sadistic fuck. Definitely not a romance. Book contains: bondage, discipline, foot worship, water sports, humiliation.

I've enjoyed a lot of this authors books, however, this one not so much. This is all noncon and limits were not only pushed but obliterated.
