The events in The Final Song have lead to this, Steve sitting on a storm swept shore about to commit his friend's ashes to the elements. Something stays his hand and he returns home to Mary. So begins Rewind, the sequel to The Final Song, a story of turning the tables on the Devil. Ruth, the demon, is carrying Chris's soul and his constant and unwavering love is starting to affect her thinking. Is there yet hope for her? CD's are proving too complicated for recruiting souls but computer games aren't. The Devil is entering the modern world with a vengeance and besides his demons he now has a horde of vampires to help. The Brotherhood show up to protect Steve and Mary and carry the fight to the demons. Will they be able to overcome the Lord of Evil? Can anyone?
Considering the seeming decisiveness of the end of The Final Song some may have thought that the story could have no more to it. But it only takes a little thinking about life to see that wickedness always pops up again, somehow, somewhere. And so we have Rewind: The Final Song Part 2. The first novel concentrated more on the human characters, though of course the two demons and "Daddy" did feature. Rewind deals more with the supernatural, so be ready for lots of paranormal action. Things look very bed for humanity. Can they win, or will the end be dire?
