In the desolate and dangerous outlands, far away from the village which had disowned him and the once mighty civilisation which had collapsed under its own weight, the outcast Aaron wanders the terrain, desperately trying to bring a unique talent under control before he is devoured by the wild beasts that roam the wilderness.

These are by no means his only problems. Followers of Krendar, the Watchtower leader, are close at hand, and the threat posed to their organisation, by people like Aaron, would mean almost certain death if he was captured.

But Aaron’s experiences are making him stronger. He’s learning how to survive, how to improve his power and, more importantly, he’s discovered something vital about his world.

With enemies all around and closing in on him, Aaron now holds the answer to his survival. Not only that, he holds the secret of the endurance of his people too. But will he live long enough to share it with others? Or will the sinister agents of Krendar get to him before he can save them?

Aaron, First Watcher is a 35,000 word novella which will be followed by a second book, Watcher War, shortly.

This is a standalone story.
