I’m the lead guitarist in one of the most successful bands in the Miami scene named Molly Riot. Our label is trying to convince us to tour with Juniper Woolf, a rival band that’s fronted by an attention-seeking brat named Fran Chambers.
When my band mates finally convinced me to sign off on the tour, I thought there was no way that I’d ever get along with Fran...that is, until I started spending time alone with her on the tour bus.
You know, I’ve gotta say, no woman has ever had such a pull on me. We can’t keep our hands off each other, but the problem is, we can’t let anyone else in either of our bands know about our little tryst. If the press were to get a hold of this, we’d all be in for one hell of a sh*tstorm.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to hook up on a tour bus without anyone else knowing about it? I’ll tell you one thing, if the two of us can keep this a secret, we’ll each deserve an Oscar…

I am enjoying this series! I love a good rock star series. Who doesn’t?
Julian’s band Molly Riot is going on tour with Juniper Woolf, only Julian has a bit of a feud with their lead singer Fran. But for half a million dollars they have to play nice. The label wants everyone to play nice.
But once they talk things out, things start to freaking HEAT up FAST.. This is one HOT audio.
These two keep things hush hush for a good long while and I can see why. But it’s there bands that end up having the problem with it. But what I loved was that everyone talks things out in this book along with other books of this series.
Over all I love this narrator! Yummy. I can’t describe it but he just knows how to make each character unique.

A rockstar romance that I've jumped in reading the 3rd book! Two rockstar with a feud between them have to learn to get along as their bands gets together to tour around together. A fun and witty romance that I very much enjoyed listening to.
What is up with these boys of Molly Riot not practicing safe sex and their women don't care??? Anyway, what I didn't like is that the story just...ends. What I did like is the characters of Fran and Jules. At first they are creative enemies but after ending up in bed they become collaborative both in bed and in the studio. I love conflict between the characters as long as the conflict gets resolved in the bedroom!
I kind of liked the tension between Julian and Fran in the beginning. and then--after they got together--the tension of what their relationship could mean for them and their respective bands.
The things I didn't like about it are the things I didn't like in the previous books in this series:
*The way the paragraphs are written (or laid out), you can't tell who is speaking or reacting to what someone else has said. That led to a lot of re-reading.
*There are WAY too many f-bombs in this book. Is there some sort of reference book for curse words? If so, please find that thesaurus and find some other words.
*The ending is just kind of phoned-in. There's no real resolution. I guess we are to assume HEA. although nothing really tells us it's so. I guess in reading the next book, you hear that the guy is still with his girl even if we don't really see their relationships on page in the next books.
The books are short, quick reads which I can appreciate. I wish we got more details and fewer f-bombs in these books.
An incident of glitter landing in his face had set Julian against Fran, and now after the media's coverage blowing it further out of proportion, the Label execs now wanted the two bands to go on tour together. When Jules voiced his concerns, he was howled down. What happens is surprising, but then again, close proximity for days at a time, well, it's possibly not so surprising. Good read!!
What a feisty read! Julian and Fran, from the same music world but different bands. There has been a feud between them for years. Will they put the past behind them to better their bands. Great read!!
Great story. I liked the pace. Mostly written in a conversation still if that's even a style. Less inter thought debates and more of important dialogue among key characters. I would read it again
This series is an enigma for me. It's so not what I'm normally into in so many ways. Sure, I'll read or listen to the occasional rocker story. As long as it doesn't get too deep into the life, I can even enjoy it. But, I am hooked on this series! And, I couldn't figure out why! Most short stories leave me feeling like they weren't quite complete, or something was rushed or missing. But, not in this case. Rockers? Eh. Smoking of any kind, even reading about it, sends me for my allergy meds. Oh the sinus headaches, migraines, itchy, watery, and painful eyes, and eventual overall body issues! The only time in my life I ever had pneumonia was when my parents went on vacation and left me with an aunt who smoked. Thought I was going to die. But, I digress. At first I tried to decide whether it was Jade Allen's writing or D.C. Cole's narration. Now, I'm convinced it's both. It's that magic that happens when the perfect narrator and author produce the perfect audio. Jade Allen writes a heck of a story. So, it doesn't obviously matter what she's writing about. She pulls you in even if it's not necessarily your normal genre or sub genre. Her stories are full of "real" characters and you feel like a fly on the wall. And, I think Julian may be my favorite so far. The characters to me had even more depth. I loved the way the slight conflict between Julian and Frannie played out. They both had valid points, or realistic reactions to what their band members might feel. And, D.C. Cole is just exceptional. You aren't listening to a book, you are actually seeing these characters, these people, and you are in their heads. Whether you like them, don't like them, it doesn't matter. You're watching this whole thing play out like a movie. Just very well done all the way around. I don't know what to say besides, I'm just a fan. I can't wait to see what happens next.
I just love this series. Julian, the lead guitar for Molly Riot is not happy with the band's current tour with Juniper Wolf. He has had an ongoing public fight with their lead singer, Fran. Once on the tour bus, things begin to change, and as they get to know each other, what's a little non-committed sex going to hurt? This relationship is fun, sexy and the scenes are HOT! Listening to these books, I have loved how even though the band has grown up together, each has their own identity and issues to overcome. While short, the depth of the characters is evident and you really get in their heads.
DC Cole again, brings this story to life. He is the perfect narrator for Molly Riot with his deep, gravelly voice.
I am looking forward to book 4, can't wait!

I had so much fun listening to this audiobook, this series just gets better and better! Lead Guitarist Julian is against touring with Juniper Woolf because he can't stand the lead singer, Fran Chambers. He soon realizes that not liking her because she threw glitter at him during a show just sounds petty. The more he gets to know her the more he is intrigued by her and appreciates her talent. Fran is attracted to Julian as well and they soon can't fight their chemistry. That chemistry translates into making actual music together as well. They get each other musically and personally. But he is so close with his band mates, he doesn't want them thinking he will leave them for Fran, but he needs her to satisfy a part of him he has kept suppressed for far too long. This just brings on more complications than Julian wants or need, but is he willing to lose Fran because of it? I thought this book was funny, engaging and so sexy. The quick story had a depth with the character conflicts, resolutions, fun banter, and sensual passion that was totally satisfying. The narrator did a great job pulling me in and making me feel like I was really there. This is the 3rd book in the series but can be enjoyed as a standalone. If you like fast paced, sexy, and funny stories, you should definitely give this a listen!
This is book 3 in the Hard Rock Star series and it was much more than I was expecting. I loved it!
Molly Riot was going on tour with Juniper Woolf. Julian had an issue with the lead singer of Juniper Woolf, Fran Chambers. Could they actually go on tour together without killing each other? Half a million dollars says he would sure try.
True to form these are rock bands and they do work hard and play harder. I really enjoyed the non-sappy love story for a change. Julian and Fran just let things be what they would be. No sappy words or hearts and flowers. Just honest feelings with some amazing action in the closet, on the bed, in the rec room, against the wall. You get my meaning? Even though this book is shorter than a full length novel, it's definitely a complete story. I didn't feel cheated at all by the amount of pages. Well written! I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Received a copy in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.
Quick, fun and entertaining light rocker romance story with a HEA. Even though this is the 3rd book in the series it is the first I have listened to, It can absolutely be read as a stand alone book and not reading the first 2 books did not effect my enjoyment of this book.
Just a fun, light story about 2 people in different bands hooking up out of convenience in the beginning, then discovering they really do like each other. No major drama, angst or heartbreak. Which was nice for a change.
This is the first time I have heard D. C. Cole narrate a book. What a voice, very deep. He narrates Julian with a laid back, slow drawl, don't give a sh*t kind of voice which actually works very well with the story. There is not really much difference between male and female character voices, but with a voice that deep it has to be really hard to do a female voice. He would be great for dual narration stories.

Molly Riot has seen changes in its band members as they have started to pair off. First was Alex and then there was Nick both of whom were not looking for love but it found them none the less.
Julian has been looking at the changes but is to stubborn to admit he is just a little jealous at his band mates relationships. He knows that he is to blame for any relationship he has been in not working.
Julian story was like reading about a man come into his own and grow musically. The story was worth reading.
I enjoyed Julian's story very much, especially since it was not your average groupie meets rockstar story. This was a story about two artists and how they connect, and it made for a great read. I fully recommend this book!
Jules hates Fran. He thinks she is an attention seeker and does not want to go on tour with the band. He thinks she hates him too but really she doesn't and Jules realizes shes not as bad as he first thought. They start to get close but they keep it a secret from both of their bands. I really liked Jules and Fran together. I am such a fan of enemies to lovers and this one did it perfectly. This was a short listen but it didn't feel like it. The narrator did a great job and Jade Allen really can write a hot book. Definitely listen to this one.
