GREAT BOOK

A five star book if there ever was one. Well, don't take my word for it

This is book 2 of what I think will be a trilogy - this particular story arc ends but the main conflict (heroes vs bad guys) is left unresolved. It's a clean, Christian-oriented super hero comic book style adventure where the super powers are based on the miraculous works found in the Bible. Clever set up and characters with real internal conflicts makes this series an interesting alternative to the typical YA action adventures out there. A bit repetitive (in that book 1 is summarized during the first sections of this book) but overall an enjoyable read.

I like how this story open’s with Connor walking with a smooth gait, and his body fully at ease. While the man was not at ease, and shooting. God was giving miraculous gifts, and looking at the bullets on the floor knew they were real. As the terror of fire surround the city, they unite, fighting evil with good. The plot shows the Biblical gifts in this story. The young learned about themselves, the God given gifts they were given, and the faith to carry them out, Well done.

Sunday School.

This used to be something that kept you from playing. This series of books will also do that. The books are not really long and are delightful reading. Obviously, I like the style. It will suit both the young and old and goes to show that my parents and later on, my boss, were correct. You don't need swear words or heavy sex to tell a story!

Ok

Not quite as good as the first one, though still a good read. He does the genre well. Would like to see a bit more character development. Is there an end to the series?

This book reminds like bits from Frank Peretti vs. Marvel comics and DC comic superheroes!

First of all, at the beginning someone has a vision that says, ”Millions die in fire unless you find Terri Jackson.” Still throughout the book there is really no confirmation that told me why she had to be found or millions would die? Why Terri, as she does not have superhero abilities or does she?
Was that a red herring to throw the reader off or just to get us thrilled about reading the book?

I wish the good guys of today had Connor Merritt’s superhero ability, a bulletproof body.
The characters in this story live in the world but they are way beyond that with their super abilities. They fight with fire, invisibility, healing, seeing into the future, teleport, telekinetic, and much more; and that folks, is where of course, the government agent Maven Flake, steps in. We can’t have anyone with super abilities out there running around and the government not know or understand the why? Because the government has to be superior and the rest of us well you understand right? They would be labeling us as zealots.

In this story there is a group called ‘The Legion’ with Sebastian as their leader and then there is a group called ‘The Sons of Thunder’ with Ethan Moses as their leader-father figurehead. Most of the characters started out in “The Legion” because they were all together and just trying to figure things out.
Enter Ethan Moses an older gent, which with the help of his friends, will bring them to “The Sons of Thunder” and give them a chance to repent and forgive by teaching them about The Bible. They will still rescue people with their superhero powers but go about without revenge.
Yet Ethan, he does not force his young ones to abide by what he ultimately says.
They still do go out and fight with the notion still inside of them, winning is the ultimate goal however it turns out. Within a reasonable timetable they do remember to fight with the right intentions.
There is a character introduced in the beginning who is called Hope and she is what Drake Tesla’s revenge fighting is for. He thought he knew her and when he thought she was dead and he will do anything to avenge her death to the one/ones he thinks is responsible. But is she dead? What are these good vs. evil groups fighting for? Freedom or is it for something more enlightening?

You need to get this book if you love reading about virtuous adventure and chaos.
I haven’t read the first book in this series but I still was entertained.
I love the fact that there is no sex or profanity yet there is some violence but so far no murdering. Therefore, you can have an adventure and not murder someone; you just have to be like the author Bowen Greenwood and work harder at it.
There is good and evil is this story but there is good vs. evil in the world. There is no place you can go through reading or real life that you do not come into contact with good or evil. Eve made sure the rest of us never forget that!
If you don’t appreciate the Bible then this book of adventure is not for you!

Great addition to the series

This was a great story with really good action and drama. The characters and situations are very engaging and exciting. I like the element of faith in this series. There were no errors that would distract you from the story and this is a fantastic series and I can't wait for the next story in this series. I would recommend this book to anyone over the age of fourteen. There are mature themes but they are handled very well. Very pleased with this book.

Another Great Book

Mr. Greenwood doesn't disappoint with this latest effort of good versus evil. Even though it's routed in the teachings of the bible, you don't need to be very proficient in the teachings of the bible. I just love the introduction of superhumans and the organizations that they belong, such as AAA and you'll need to read this fabulous book to see what these organizations are. Give it a try, I believe you'll love it like I did. Job well done by Mr. Greenwood.

Who really is the Superhero?

Although I am not usually a superhero fan, I was moved by the aspects of God giving us our gifts. For me, God's forgiveness triumphs all. Bowen Greenwood integrated God's promises with a cool concept that will appeal to any reader who enjoys this genre. I did receive a free copy of the book in exchange for my review. The four stars reflects a light plot line and I like a little more depth. Overall a nice book.

This is an awesome series. I can not wait till the next book. This a good Christian fantasy. I would recommend this for all ages.

I like these stories. I really like the Christian element. Plot is good, charactors are believable. Are there going to be more in this series?
